Disclosure: small time AMC/VMC shareholder.
But, the short version of the story of VMC so far has been BFL with 10% worse luck. (If you're capable of taking an objective view of BFL, and know how "near" things were.)
This has been slightly compounded by the fact that we've previously had no core technical team of our own so 3rd party expertise had to be brung in, which was another thing that could go wrong of course.
At the moment I think we're experiencing demand/volume issues on the customer service side.
I was as surprised as anyone when we bought in the HF designed stuff, can only assume HF has severe cashflow and credit issues, if we can by the chips off them and the board designs and rent their 3rd party facility for assembly. Bad luck? That's why bfl, vmc, hashfast, and cointerra all suck? Luck doesn't explain why they treat their customers like dirt either.

So you call bad luck for a company that was supposed to have it's own chips, but instead it's buying 3rd party hardware? After 3 failed chip projects? That's not bad luck, that's simply failure.

You mean the one that the teen wunderkid Garret was going to create but now says he is not? If that's the case, then there is no 3rd party facility. Hashfast itself seems to be able to build and ship a half dozen units on a lucky day... is that the "facility" you refer to?

You know, I learned the hard way that HashFast are low-life scum but I never was one to accuse them of self-mining - it seemed like their problems were real that they probably just couldn't get it together enough to get shit out the door.
But looking at that VMC "set up guide". Wow. VMC is selling what are obviously Hashfast boards, with identical capacitors and other components, multiple Hashfast Rev stickers on them (the same board), and thermal paste already applied? Hundreds of these boards, allegedly?
Boy, it sure seems like used equipment to me. Coming direct from Hashfast to VMC?
Wow. This looks almost criminal. Screw arbitration. How about some time at San Quentin for these guys?

We don't need proof, we need enough to convince a law enforcement agency or a public prosecutor that there are grounds to investigate. Those guys then have the power to compel production of the proof, through sworn statements, search warrants, etc. At this point, I'd say we're getting there. I'd like to see some more examples of the "VMC" boards. Any person can write out a complaint and send it to the FBI, a federal prosecutor's office or, in my case, what I'd consider is the Texas Attorney General's office. California is obviously a possibility too, as is the Attorney General of any other US state in which a customer resides. For some aspiring politician-type AG, getting in on the action in this "cutting edge" area of law, to protect investors, wow, the politics of it might be pretty good... PS: And wait, "Gateway" is the confessed "friend" of the Hashfast guys who helps run a pool, and who posted the positive comments about Hashfast when they were not shipping at all... now he's behind the "third party" pepper board and posting pictures of boxes of used-looking boards he says he received from Hashfast? This is very peculiar.

Gateway: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274307.0The public prosecutors would welcome proofs as well. Re, "screw arbitration", let's see what happens the 9th in that hearing. Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #t39wWOFn2GXUfZP1

Btw, what a nice thread. In just a page there is 1) the guy that got the TRO and "never purchased". and 2): Well staying back on topic, I just made an order for 12 Baby Jets with next day air. I hope to get them on time. I also have two ASIC SC Single pre-orders from 13 months ago from BFL. I hope to get them in 2 more weeks ™

Who knows but who spends the money on a booth at a conference and then doesn't bother to show up? Seems like a big waste.

Ok so let's speculate a bit before sleeping. 1) they have money to waste 2) they want to waste money 3) they "pre-ordered" it 6 months ago and couldn't get a refund, didn't want to show up with angry customers around. Mediabistro proposed a voluntary refund and release agreement and they signed it. Mediabistro hasn't stop laughing since then. -2 to the texan hearing! Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #A1pWaiywvCz0v2n2

I'm hearing for the other mining companies that they've missed the last 2 conferences, Texas was the last time they were seen.
