I have witnessed many scams before, one of the common denominators is, there is always a small group who defend it to the death, who make excuses for them. The holiday excuse, and storm excuses, are just pathetic. Don't think for a second that is why you are not getting updates.

Ok, there is a good scenario.
Before the holiday, they have located the problem and found the solution with pcbs. And they sent back all pcbs to their supplier. the pcb supplier's production capacity is limited. so the pcb supplier gave them back a few pcbs which can hash at 400g. Unfortunately the holiday came and the supplier stopped production in the three holiday days because the salary is 3X of usual workday.

So, who knows?

If this is true, there's no any reason stopping labcoin to post a update here. He didn't, so most likely the situation is worse.

Though, one thing to consider, regardless of what they are saying.

What benefit does labcoin itself have by continuing things such as mining via other chips etc if there is no longer an IPO and Burnside is probably keeping a close eye on the shares they did not IPO?

The long con only works in Labcoin's favor if they have sock account/s on BTCT buying and selling with the news / lackof.
I expect that Burnside would have already investigated any accounts similarly match this criteria.

It's not like they are accepting pre-orders, constantly delaying shipments, show up with a box of empty fans and then start to ship another 6~8 months later.

I  am probably missing the reasoning they have not already bailed. Be it now, or later, they have little to gain unless they are sock-trading the shares.

If they are really in for the long con... Why not take massive pre-orders and "sell the chips" or units?
If they tried to disappear now its already fraud/theft. Might as well take bigger numbers with it?

UPDATE:

As usual by now I am very sorry for the lack of updates. I do however at this time have an update for actual hashing.

Though the launch of the mining operation has been delayed and the team is still tweaking miners we now have around 800gh hashing at btcguild at:

http://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=rankings&section=teams

The Labcoin team is currently listed as 24 Labcoin.

According to Sam, more hash rate will be deployed daily. I do not have any goals or hash rate estimates to communicate right now but as soon as I do, I will of course communicate this.

I hope that I can provide more timely updates on a lot of open questions shortly, and I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I see Labcoin on the list, but the payouts to the address provided are far below that.  Is it just lag or is there a new address?

This is why you dont sell shares and buy back later or put orders when you are away. All those asks will get hit because people arent by their computers to pull them. The idiots who want to wait by the time they get on price has moved.
