This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

That is just plain stupidity. In this world where all you have to do is to log in and out to access your money and banks, you need to remember everything, or atleast have someone or something safe to hide it for you. That bitcoin is stucked and no one benefited from it. So guys to all of you who got bitcoin wallet, can you please secure your accounts. Thank you.

If I was him, I would kill myself. That's really a huge amount of money that every person can own. So we need to keep our private key confidential. If you want to be real For a lot of money, first learn how to preserve your money.

I think that losing your wallet is a loss of money forever. No one will ever return it to you. Such laws are cryptomir. Money prenadlezhat only to you, you can not take them away, do not stop. But someone can not return it to you if the key is lost ...

That's the most terrible thing I've ever known. Losing that bitcoin by mistake. Some cases also often occur bitcoin loss caused by a hacker. Therefore the level of security is also very need to be improved.

An extremely unfortunate person, 103 bitcoin values very nearly 900K USD. It is incredibly tragic to envision that losing the 103 Bitcoin. When you track the record of this 166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL you can see that last exchange is last 2012, and each transaction a minimum one bitcoin and the most maximum I saw is 12 bitcoins. I trust you can recuperate the half of the lost bitcoins.

That's a pantastic value for now, but if he lost 103 BTC in 2011, it's not big news, and I do not know his identity either, and the truth of this news,
But this is a big lesson for us, to be more careful in securing our wallet. As it happens in this story, this guy lost his own wallet, not backing up his wallet file.

This is the sole reason we can never achieve the 21million total supply for bitcoin. Many coins are already lost and untraceable. Anyway, far back in 2011 bitcoin was almost worthless in price. So, 100+btc actually meant nothing then. It's the same thing happening today with people being so careless with their dogecoins. Who knows, dogecoin may become the bitcoin or etherum of 2040...

The value is huge for now, but in 2011 the value is still small, in my opinion there is no way to improve, to avoid such things, must backup important data

This is so sad and to top it all a lot of users are in this situation so it says a lot about Bitcoin security and that we all should learn a lesson from it. We should be able to secure our passwords but then again make sure that we will be able to access it still, especially thoese who does long term investments, there are a lot of ways to secure your passwords yet you can also ensure that you will be able to access it. It defeats the purpose of securing your coins when you secure it from everyone including yourself. That's just sad, words are not enough to describe it.
