This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

If this will happen to me it will make me crazy like lossing a 103 bitcoin , I cannot move on that easy I am very sure with that . This will be a lesson for everybody to make an extra storage for your private keys so if something happen you will have a back up to your files. Maybe that guy is now very careful and learned his/her lesson that amount was too big already and lossing it will affect a lot to him. I just hope that he is okay and move on already.

This is a fortune. Hope he has learned a lesson, never to keep all your coins just in one wallet, especially not such huge amount and not to be so careless about hte wallet and related data.
It's sad that nothing actually can't be done to recover those coins.

This is sad, it is very unfortunate for him. He has lost a lot of what he has worked for. But I guess it is a lesson learned not just for him but for all of us. We need to take a lot of precautions and be extra careful to all our data files in bitcoin. We should do all the things that we can do to not lose or not forget these importants keys for ys to recover it if something like this happen.

Are you exposed to hackers, usually emerging from a virus in an app, nowadays to secure a wallet is very difficult and should be careful, hopefully you are not hit by hack, and your account is safe.

Wow, he has actually 103 Bitcoin in his wallet. He must be really disappointed with losing his wallet.dat. I wish he gets it soon as possible back but that is nearly impossible.

I would kill myself if that happens to me, haha, just a joke, but no one can really be happy if he/she lost more than a one million dollars! I mean, i would not even know how i could react.

That is why the hardware wallets have ever existed, and i remember that i started mining on 2013 and i did not even stored my bitcoins on my pc, everything was on my paper wallet and i switched to hardware lately on 2015.

This is such a great idea i agree with this. I really feel sorry for him a million dollars is a lot! Everything he did was useless i feel so sad.

Bitcoin did not have this price at that time. At that time, people did not specifically care about it, but only used it as a toy. But for now, this is a big loss.

Crypto still can't account for human error..I myself lost some bitcoin on anonymous exchange because I forgot to back up my password. I think most of have made a mistake that has costed us money, just not to the extent of 103 bitcoins.

Luckily if so, what if you Who experienced this incident? 103 btc is a very beautiful future if it is still stored.

What is the hardware wallet for btc in 2015?

The only way to guarantee the security of your account or bitcoin wallet is buy keeping all the necessary file that follows your wallet safe this is because bitcoin as a decentralized and highly secured platform operate on a high security protocol which only you have the full access to your Wallet aside you no one Else.

I think that is the payback, you don't care much about bitcoin and do not take it too seriously back then in 2011, you don't get nothing and don't need to complain

yes, that's a lot of money, and maybe it's very painful to lose hundreds of bitcoins that we've been struggling to collect. but, it is a risk, the more you save the bitcoin, the higher the risk you will face.
