What happened to him is a depressing thing. Knowing that you can be a milonary and have lost everything. Unless he has other wallets having started so early.

Now that's a really sad story. That's really unfortunate for him losing that much bitcoin after his effort. I would literry cry if i have experienced that.

This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

Right now having a 103 bitcoin is a really hard because 103 bitcoin now is reallly a big amount compare before so i am so sad for him, and i am sure that guy have a big regrets but i think he can still have a lot of bitcoin by buying when the market is low.

Most people are not careful about storing bitcoin, this is because they do not want to pay attention to the security factor so take it for granted, but when prices skyrocket and they try to take it then it's almost impossible.

A really sad story, but there are tons like this, even with bigger amounts, the best thing he can do is to let it go, forget, and move on with his life/business. Overthinking about this won't get him anywhere unless someone develops a way to find lost bitcoins which I believe won't happen.

I can only imagine having a bitcoin of that size and can not imagine losing it.  Undecided
what I regret is his negligence in maintaining important files. he should protect the file because there are items that are very valuable in it

There have been many similar events and we have to take lessons from their story.

I imagine if now has 103 BTC maybe I already have some big companies in my country even in some countries.
I think if it has lost the wallet then its content will also be lost, and the name of the lost items will be difficult to find or in return.

For me personally, it's a huge number. I think you have to be more careful with the wallet file. You can save it on your gmail. a number of bitcoins have disappeared so I want people to be more careful with their wallets in order to avoid such situations.

I can not even imagine the feeling when you can not take advantage of this amount of money and more than that you realize that this is impossible , a sad story of course , but I do not think that this is the only case , just this more evident as it can be at all .

This is such a huge amount of money, I cant start imagining how he's going to feel. That's way hardware wallet is best choice to keep your digital asset than software wallet. If you missing your file on your PC, you cant access your wallet and you will lost it. Try to buy ledger wallet or trezor to keep your wallet. It's safe and recommended. Sorry for the loss though.

This indicates that this system has not been perfected. There are many more pitfalls in it. At me too 2 years ago the partner has lost 32 bitcoins, the truth.

Well there are guys who have lost their wallet files with thousands of bitcoins in it. So this is a small incidence in comparison to them, not to forget the guy who lost millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin after he dumped his drive into a dump yard. The total amount of Bitcoins lost forever might be in the millions.

I have a problem because I recently sold BTC as it was in the price of 6k $ and now I have a lot of stress. I can not imagine such a situation being with you ...

As far as I know, these bitcoins are already lost not only for this guy, but for the entire bitcoin community... I wish they could be returned.

This will serve as a good lesson not only for the this guys but also for all of us Bitcoin users. This is a large loss too in the Bitcoin community, since it is a very large amount. We should take seriously the security of our own Bitcoin which lies in our own hands. Being so careless will result to something like this in all your effort exerted to this.

Is this true? I feel so sorry for him. He must be really disappointed with losing his wallet.dat. I wish he gets it soon as possible back but that is nearly impossible.
