Is there a flag to specify a different location for the blockchain and database?
Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

update on http://src.coinmine.pl pool:

I set up additional dedicated server for stratum so now you can use two nodes:

Primary: mine2.coinmine.pl:6020
Backup: mine1.coinmine.pl:6020

You don't need to change you current settings as previous links will work as well (pointing mine2.coinmine.pl node)

I get timeout on http://src.coinmine.pl/

Sometimes it loads after 10 seconds wait. It appears the new UI is taking too much resources.

Hello,

We do have plans for marketing and revamping SRC and a new client update will be out soon as part of those plans.

Good news!
SRC needs huge promo actions.

I have added Securecoin to P2Pool.org

To view the pool stats visit: http://p2pool.org:9372/static/

To mine Securecoin point your quark/secure miner to http://p2pool.org:9372

Use your Securecoin wallet address as the username and src as the password.

Happy Mining!

I downloaded SRC but I get no connections to the block chain
I see a link to download the whole blockchain and add it manually
I'm not opposed to doing so, but is this the only solution?

Thanks in advance

You'll need to update your securecoin.conf file (same directory as the wallet.dat file) so the client can find other nodes to download the chain from. A couple posts up :

With this securecoin.conf you will be able to connect to the network:

Code:
gen=0
rpcpassword=123
rpcuser=user
server=1
daemon=1

thanks

I tried that last night and still go no connections.
Doing it again right now...

Also, I know I need to create a 'create start.cmd' file for a pool
I'm on http://www.coinmine.pl at the moment

I cannot find the miner zip
downloaded the src master zip and  found no miners
if they are there, I'm simply overlooking them

would you have a link to a download for the miners?

thanks in advance

I have this link for a 64bit version of minerd:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxKqW4aMUczmaTVfWjZEdnpqLVk/edit?pli=1

Don't remember where I found the link though, so if you need a 32bit version maybe try google.
