BFL's main FAQ page is still showing that they accept PayPal: http://www.butterflylabs.com/faq/What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept PayPal, Bitcoins and Bank Transfer.
PayPal has a transaction limit of $10,000 US. I'm sure Josh or Jeff will take care of this first thing Monday morning upon reading Bruno's post.

Can I get a refund on my order?
While we reserve the right to handle refund requests on a case by case basis, pre-ordered products are non-refundable as is clearly stated at the time of purchase. The reason for this is that pre-order funds are used in the build process which makes it impractical to reverse. It's also been observed that some small number of customers have placed orders as part of a bitcoin price hedging strategy which involves multiple requests to cancel and then re-enstate their orders as market conditions change. This has created an enormous customer service burden which is resolved by enforcing the all sales final policy.
But now, thanks to the magic of the internet, one can simply upgrade by canceling their previous order in lieu of an upgrade with ONLY a 10% processing fee which will be used to pay warehouse personal to toss the now unusable components of said previous yet-to-be-built miner into the dumpster. Also, isn't this a form of a HEDGING STRATEGY that BF Labs Inc. is trying to put an end to as stated in their FAQ? Every single person who upgrades is trying to hedge their investment. Madness!

If you are certain that Bitcoin is going to increase, you should just buy the Bitcoins from MtGox and get them immediately. Simple. No worres. Free profit. If you are not certain, then you shouldn't depend on an increase in BTC/USD exchange rate to bail you out.

Because price of BTC to USD is irrelevant. Only the BTC cost of miner vs BTC generated by miner. If you paid 10BTC worth of USD and the machine ultimately makes 8 BTC from mining due to difficulty growth... you would have been 25% better off at the end if you had just bought the 10 BTC directly on the open market, and held it rather than forking it over to a hardware company.

On BFL's FAQ page, you can see that the 1/3 program is still in place. Amazingly, there are early investors who upgraded due to the conning verbiage BFL used to have them do such, and have yet to receive their products, and after several attempts haven't been able to get an estimate from BFL as to when their product will arrive. Now, BFL is asking them to upgrade once again.
Madness!

I dont factor in my electricity because my computers run 24/7 anyway.... everyone says you'll never make a ROI on the usb block erupters.... I'm running about 60 of those, and 45 have paid for themselves in full with some jumping between pools for btc and ppc...

Chip development is traditionally a 12 month process, so ASIC engineering teams have to be forward thinking in order to provide the best technology to the market. 28nm development began a long time ago. Yet, two weeks ago Josh was dissing 28nm technology. Here are the timeline milestones: Timeline milestones worked so well for Josh back in January of this year, they've opted to do it again. You can apply the purchase price of any undelivered product towards a 28nm product by paying a 10% transfer fee. That will close out your old order and credit your account towards the purchase of a 28nm Monarch pre-order. There it is again: You can't cancel your order due to your pre-order money was used to acquire parts to built your miner, but they will gladly toss them in the dumpster if you upgrade for only a 10% transfer fee. Madness!

Choosing PCIe to be "data center ready" is funny.
Clearly the proper way to achieve this would have been to use a 19" rackmountable form. Then they could put whatever arrangement they wanted inside the case to achieve optimal cooling, density, etc.
Instead they're letting the end users deal with these problems. How many GPU rigs have you seen that are "data center ready"?
