Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?

(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)

the best competitor for ethereum is Neo , Neo is the ethereum of china, it has good and trusted platform that chinese people developed. many partnership  is in engage regarding Neo .

I think there are too many coin competitors who want to compete with ETH, but it's not easy for them to beat it, because ETH has a very solid foundation and looks very good, and now ETH still looks increasing, so it's not easy for colleagues other work to tackle the ETH and they will take a long time thinking about how to play with ETH...

Now there are absolutely no obvious competitors for ETH. Only in the long term such results can be achieved by ADA and EOS projects, but they are still at the initial stage of their development.

In the future, there may be different competitors, but this is only in the distant future. At the moment, there are no worthy competitors, ETH is too high level of development.

The base platform of Ethereum is sturdy and better than a lot of cryptocurrencies wanted to compete to Ethereum. But nowadays, it does not mean Ethereum does not have any competitor has power, technology enough to against it. Example NEO and Ripple, both coins have users sufficient to compete Ethereum any time. The fields applied to use both coins are many much. Even, it can be more than Ethereum.

IOTA and ADA (Cardano) become rival Ethereum? I think it will not happen, seeing the movement of the ADA that never grossed $ 10, I think it will be difficult, I think that will compete with the ETH in the future is NEO.

I think Neo is best competitor to Eth. Neo also is platform very comperable to ethereum. It also uses gas to transfer neo and its tokens.

Cardano is still quite young and not proved, so I think even if it claims to be an opposition or a competitor to ethereum it needs some time to develop the project to the level that is needed.

I figure NEO could be such a contender, offering rather brisk and quick exchange. It is more utilized as a part of the ICO exchanges these day, so we will perceive how it develops later on.

Personaly, I think the best competitor for ethereum is NEO because it has a more advanced technology than ethereum and it is also has the support of strong team but I think it cannot be better than ethereum because ethereum is more experienced and also have strong management team.

There are many useless competitors, every altcoin which support smart-contracts is the competitior.
Example of the big competitors are: EOS - currently the biggest competitor, Cardano and chinese NEO. Maybe TRON?

neo looks like the one that is the strongest and can be a competitor of ethereum. there are already some good icos based on neo blockchain. it has swithcheo exchange platform which works pretty well.

Ethereum is now a rival to Bitcoin. Altcoin, who competes against Ethereum, is Litecoin for me. If they go to the lightning network as it is said, the price of Litecoin will be very high. It will be a good competitor for Ethereum.

In my opinion, Etherium does not have a worthy competitor, it's just beyond competition!
