I am puzzled about Cryptoflix' business model. How can they do all those things promised in the whitepaper, undercut competitors and yet be self-sustainable?

I am more thinking about Youtube, which has a massive amount of free content. Youtube also has low bandwidth SD formats, as well as a low friction revenue model: ads. On CryptoFlix individuals can watch free content, but it is subsidized by paying members. Which means CryptoFlix subscriptions have a higher cost than their ad supported competitors. CryptoFlix could beat Youtube in China where it is banned, but since crypto is also banned in China, it is going to be hard to buy tokens...

Why do you care if your name will appear in credits ? Maybe they will put your name I don't know, I'll care only about if a movie will give me profits

They probably won't put all the nicknames of anonymous crypto investors in their credits but maybe from the top contributors?

Maybe like kickstarter they can offer tiers when donating. Like donate x amount and get your name in the credits. But what i would really like to see is also your profile on Cryptoflix growing and showing the movies you've backed. That's something to be proud of and would be fun if you can share it.

I agree. Especially with the profile thing, not showing the amount invested for each movie will mean that anyone could just invest bare minimum, whereas showing the amount invested will make people targets for hackers.

So you are saying that CryptoFlix would have Youtube as a direct competitor? That would be a very tough competition. But maybe Cryptoflix can focus more on movie financing and publishing own movies.

It's a bit like those shitty ripoff movies that go straight to dvd right after a major hollywood blockbuster comes out. You can't take them serious if they don't take themselves serious and with an own identity.

Regarding the flix film financing. I think, after looking into the team a little further, this has a chance. A new player in this field would be phased out very quickly. Assuming the team and the CEO have made valuable connections throughout their careers, they could pull it off. If I was on the team, I'd be doing as many favors as possible for industry influencers for "free".

I wouldn't be surprised they already have some partners and connection in the industry, considering they already were there, if not they wouldn't be able to take off, so we all have to trust they have the necessary partners to start this, which if it goes well, then we are to go to the stars, this is a very ambitious project.

The project team has film making backgrounding, and they have also shown good marketing so far (including thoroughly answering questions in this thread), so I would be confident in their future marketing strategy.

This is one of the unique projects I have participated in and hopefully, investors see the potential of it and cryptoflix gets their investment. Frankly speaking there are many reasons to invest into this venture.
