Hmm... MNC is looking very ordinary.  Might be time to flick it.  What the pool really needs is another coin like ANC to pick up the slack when ANC goes to insane difficulty levels.  Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be one...

Yea we might hit MNC with a profitability hit, sucks we cant add FTC / NVC because our hash isn't quite there just yet, but we should have another couple of "cash cow" coins soon.

Any update on a NA server?

No ETA on this yet. Focus at the moment is upping the performance of our profits.

I'm not mining here because of too many getwork failures... it might be short sighted to think that a NA server wouldn't up the performance of profits.

+1 that.  Also, your site seems either down or broken

Code:
PING stratum01.hashco.ws (37.187.9.53) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- stratum01.hashco.ws ping statistics ---
7 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 6016ms

100% packet loss.

Did you try hitting the website (hashco.ws, different ip), or actually mine?  Ping being dropped isn't an indication of a problem.  From what I can see mining is working perfectly and the website is up.  If your seeing a problem with either on your end though, give me a traceroute and perhaps we can track it down.  The pool has 350+Mh/s atm, so certainly working for a chunk of people.

Regarding and NA server, it is absolutely on our list, but I feel there are a few short term adjustments we can implement that will (hopefully) be to the benefit of everyone mining, before we get to implementing a second server.  its not written in stone of course, perhaps it gets bumped up the list as we go along.  We are working hard to improve the experience across the board, and always open to feedback/suggestions.

Profit-Switching Pool w/ Vardiff -> http://hashco.ws  Optionally keep the alts we mine or auto-trade for BTC. In addition can be paid out in any of: 365, AC, BC,  BTC, C2, CINNI, COMM, FAC, HBN, MINT, PMC, QRK, RDD, WC, XBC

I was trying to ping stratum01.hashco.ws to see how bad the latency is to see whether it is worth giving it a try.  France can either be bad or terrible from here and ping is a very valuable tool for measuring latency and loss.

Fair enough, far cry from the site being down or broken Smiley

I've enabled this for a bit. Feel free to ping away if still interested.  fwiw I seem to average ~100-115ms from Ontario.

Happy mining.

Thank you

rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 160.270/165.877/178.090/4.027 ms

Not too bad from California.

Hmmm. Est. Daily BTC Earnings seem quite a bit down versus the last few days, at least for me.

Haven't dug into it too much since earlier today, but I notice a bunch of prices down on some of our frequent coins, and some slightly higher than usual backed up orders as a result.  Not sure how much we'll recover in the next 1.5hrs.

I get that you're up to 340+Mh/s and that is really impressive for a new pool. I guess my point is that if everyone is also experiencing getwork failures, that could be a reason for lower profits. I mean, to me, if I have a latency issue to your server, I would have a higher amount of stale shares & rejects because I can't get and submit work fast enough. But if I'm straight up getting getwork failures, that seems to me that the server is too slow to process getwork requests. But if no one else is seeing a high amount of GF, then it should be lower on your priority.

I'd be surprised to hear wide-spread getwork failures were a problem.  The server is more than capable of a lot more than 350Mh.   Have you been seeing this for an extended period, or just recently?  Its possible that its related to the diff changes we introduced the other day, in which case I'll need to take a  closer look.    I haven't heard of other complaints since the change though.

Another idea: on the coin balances tab, how about a check box for "Automatically cash out daily BTC earnings"

You could just set a threshold of 0.001 on your BTC settings Smiley

My apologies if I am asking a question that has already been answered - I couldn't find an answer by skimming through the pages of posts, though:

Is there any withdrawal transaction fee, like many pools do?  (e.g. a 0.01 BTC withdrawal fee for withdrawals under 0.05 BTC)

Thanks!

Guys, when you get a chance, have a look at rounds 1188 and 1189.  At the start of round 1188 which went for 15 minutes, according to coinchoose MEC was the 2nd most profitable coin behind FTC, with ANC 3rd and its difficulty dropping fast.  We mined MEC for 15 minutes and didn't change to ANC until it hit a rock bottom difficulty of 1.

Despite that round 1189 was twice as profitable as round 1188 even though it only went for 10 minutes.  The reason it only went 10 minutes is that every man and his dog jumped on it at the same time!! We should have jumped on ANC at least 5 minutes before we did and we would have cleaned up!

Please adjust the algorithms so that when ANC gets to say a difficulty of around 5, we jump on it.

Another nice feature would be an alert on the website when the stratum server is down.  That way we know if it's a server issue or possible connectivity issue.

Although, the 0 Pool Hashrates are a dead giveaway.... Wink
