Hi, Tranz! What's goin on with hbn.cryptocoinexplorer.com? Looks like it is on a fork.
edit
Now it's all ok! Maybe it was temporary disorders.
It does get behind sometimes, when the network is very busy or many people are hitting it.

It does get behind sometimes, when the network is very busy or many people are hitting it. Actually this time around, and possibly for other times in the past, was a chain reorganization to a significantly shorter chain. While the database loader would catch the changed blocks with orphan detection, the blocks from the longer chain are still in the database until the new shorter chain catches up. It essentially was a display problem as the web server home page would show the top 7 blocks in the database. People could still enter the higher blocks in block, range, transaction pages and get the information from the discarded longer block. This issue will be addressed in 4.0 as it involves changing some core code in the way the block chain is checked and it is so rare for a significantly shorter chain to take over in a reorganization. For now, I have patched the home page to check the blockcount from the coin daemon and only show that top block the daemon returns downwards instead of the top block in the database.

I have sent 4000HBN when my wallet was synchronizing and now its still unconfirmed. What I have to do?
tx ID:
ac18d928373fca025e65df74f8c22d356f350867baf021237493059c6e6e2dcc
but block explorer shows nothing.
You can try the rpc command: resendtx After that transaction status has changed to 'conflicted'.

My HBN wallet stopped syncing , it shows 4 connections to network , but not moving or just a block here block there . I tried to add nodes , but no node new node in the node list appeared. I am about to stake so I am bit upset about it Any ideas fellas? so I helped myself at the end , removed peers.dat and waited a bit , i have now ~10 connections . i could find this hint sooner. good luck all you hobonicklers woke up in the morning and I am 7hours behind again , something is going wrong , does anybody else have a problem to catch up blockchain or just me? You may have too many small stake using up CPU. If this is the case you can use the rpc command reservebalance. Example reservebalance true 100000. You can then catch up and combine and then turn it off by reservebalance false. What does setting reservebalance to 100000 do? How is it different from 50000 or 1000?

I know I had reached out about making android specific things for hobo, but I work 30+ hours a week and am a full time student. I have believed and have had hobo's for awhile now and want to try and dedicate even a little if any of my time to helping out. I think if someone would be willing to work with me something might be possible. I haven't coded much with coins but I am familiar with android and definitely want to learn everything about coins. You can PM me or post here or whatever. PS: Just checked richlist and was surprised I am in the top 200 with only 7500??!?!?!?! This is not acceptable and more people need to buy HBN! PSS: I started with a lot less than 7500 so people thinking about hbn why not its so cheap right now and that interest

I just specified an amount that i was sure was greater then his wallet size. If you only choose 1,000 but you have say 10,000 coins, then there most be at least 1,000 coins left after a stake(before they temporary go to the stake portion of the wallet)

Updated Pools list??? Seems that I can't find a good pool to use to mine Hobo. Have mined periodically over last year or so but now can't find a good list of Pools on the current Block chain? Can anyone help provide some ?

I actually thought of investing into 10 BTC to this coin. You do seem to have a nice community and the coin s been here for a long time. Is it safe to do so?
Then I discovered trolls like this Argon18 guy who go around and troll thread after thread with mindless comments. This started me thinking, if they waste so much time and energy on that, there must be something wrong with this coin since they try to eliminate any and every kind of competition. Are you guys really doing that bad? Is everything OK with this coin? Really wouldn't want to lose you, this coins is an important part of crypto community.

There is no question, that Tranz is one of the most repected devs in the community, and his coins have passed the test of time, with many happy investors.
While Im here, Tranz, I really want more bottlecaps and HBN. What are the chances of getting a multipool together as I have a large sha-256 farm I would like to use.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

I've been into HBN and CAP for over a year and I've never regretted it. I have great respect for Tranz's dedication, knowledge and his kindness to help anyone who needs support. Just read the HBN and CAP threads and decide for yourself.

I have gone through the list, https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/21159-mining-pools/?p=145408 and crossed off a few. This should be many of them. Can others in the community confirm they use something other that what is listed on the page? Thanks.

I assume this is somewhat tongue-in-cheek but I'll answer anyway. Any investment big or small should be done with at least some due diligence.. If the only guide you are using is the presence or lack thereof of trolls, then you may get burned. Having said that, it is nice, at least in my opinion, that HBN doesn't attract a lot of trolls. We have had a few here and there but they mostly leave us alone. With that in mind, 10 BTC if played right could get a nice % of the market share. I can tell you I have invested a lot more then that!

Thank you both for the kind words. We did have a multi-pool for a while, but it is offline now. Can you recommend one that would be worth talking too? I am not keen on having to pay a fee to get listed. But if there is one that is very steady it could worth discussing. I do want to say a few words about the future of HBN, and to a smaller extent CAPs. First off I am sorry I haven't been around quite as much. Over the last few months I haven't been able to get back into the coding mind set. I have been pretty busy at home with family, at work(soon to be worse), and with some other activities(training and lessons). I still plan to do more development, as I do quite enjoy it, I just need find a way to work it back in. No set time frame on this. So be that as it may, I want to re-iterate that I have no plans to leave. I'll be doing more administrative work, answering questions, keeping things up to date, etc in the short term. And more development in the future. I will obviously fix any serious issues right away, but more features and code base updates will be stymied for a while. So in short, I am here for the long term, but not in the exact same capacity as before. At least currently. I do want to say I am happy with the growth of the network and the steadiness of the price. I think these are the things that will help lead to long term appreciation. Hopefully these things continue and we push forward! Thanks all.

And whenever you find some time to code, I would like to suggest adding an split/combine threshold based upon wallet size like you did in CAP. It works really well and it eliminates the hassle of manual recombining.

Just wanted to say thanks for the update Tranz and more importantly all the hard work you continue to pour into HBN and CAPS, these coins wouldn't be close to as good as they are without your dedication, so thanks again and I look forward to more developments in the future.
