Hey! i tried out the client today and had a look at this thread, but i don't really get the great thing about Nxt..
Can someone give a few bullet points why someone should choose Nxt over anything else?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Thanks for the offer, but I think it would be better to solve this problem, I guess its a bug in the Nxt client...I mean, we can´t expect all users of Nxt to order some VPS servers Do you think updating the Java would help? No, I doubt other Java would work. Let's hope that BCNext will solve this issue.

1. It's not a fork of Bitcoin 2. It's 100% "green" These 2 points made me a fan of Nxt.

if "java -version" doesn't show a version, then u did NOT install Java. If u on Windows u must add Java directory to PATH.

Important note
Before sending a transaction set deadline to 3-5 minutes. Sometimes transactions don't appear in unconfirmed list and attempt to send it again may lead to double transactions. After 5 minutes u can try again.
The transaction window says deadline in hours!

So I am running a local and an online node. Online found a block and gained +3Nxt.
The amount is not added in local one! I have cleaned .nxt files and restarted...

I'm having many trouble with the client, hope it will go better in the near future I have two different accounts running in two different computers and in one of them accepted the block 172 and in the other appears as orphaned... What's hapening? why so many forks appearing? I have to delete all the files each few minutes for see the same information on both clients, It's only me? or are there someone else having this issues?

U won't get these coins. Time on ur server is incorrect, so other nodes will follow other fork.

Same problem here, that means you cant send any transactions, I did not mange to solve the problem I used the online client from C.f.B. ( http://88.198.210.245:7875/) to send some coins, that seems to work well
