i deleted the silly post because it was misleading and wrong. I will say it again, microstaking is only valuable as a dick move to lower other peoples stake. You do not earn a better overall rate microstaking it is much worse since you do not get to compound. Larger blocks compound faster.

Everyone has been warned and when the short notice hardfork rolls out we will likely remove coinage from blocks under 1k.

For what it's worth, I fully support Thundertoe's plan to prevent assholes from micro-staking and to prevent them from dick-blocking other people's stake returns.

I've been a long time TEK holder and fan and I can't wait for the hardfork to take place.

Agree 100%. . micro stakers have the right to do it. Community has right to complain. Dev.  is the man.

And today as well, by all accounts... over 200 stake transactions today alone, not one of which is over 200TEK, from what I can see...

Please give me as much heads up as possible for an upcoming fork, with the fork code, so long as you want the explorer to stay on the correct chain through the fork. My system is a little more complicated than fetching the current repo and rebuilding.

Cryptopia, yes I was a fan for a couple of days, then I had a problem when I withdrew some coins and the transaction was 100 down,
later the same day I noticed the details on the mining pool page where not changing so I pulled my miner and withdrew my coins
but there are 200+ stuck because they are not confirming. I informed Cryptopia through support about this and have not had a reply.
That was 48 hours ago and the pool is still stuck it seems and is an open invitation for people to waste their mining power.
I have also noticed that other miners continued mining for at least 24 hours after I stopped, so where their mining proceeds are going
I don't know, I also don't know where a couple of hours of mine have gone either.  When the pools are not working it seems difficult to
actually tell that they are not at a glance and I advise people to be vigilant.

(Edit) 24 hours later I have received the 200+ coins that where missing from my mining earnings but have not received any replies to
messages that I sent, only the usual auto responder notifications that they have been received.

"Yobit pump alert software" Link in my signature!

If someone is gaming the system, then dev has responsibility to make it stop. My 2 sats.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

I think that's what the idea of the hard fork is going to be...

Reward % going up since difficulty is going down.

The threat of the new rules seems to be doing a good number on the manipulation. I look forward to my staking days next month.

Reward % going up is great, but I wish the price wouldn't go down so much. I noticed a lot of coin dumping on Cryptsy....  TEK is now around 1800 sats. Sad

It's because the people who got hteir rewards today are dumping hard for some $$$, and possibly manipulators are dumping their tek that will soon be useless to them.

Tek should bounce back up.

I sure hope so.  My wallet is ready for staking in 2 days.

what's the best way to combine blocks, is there a 'combine threshold' setting, or is manual method the only option?
thanks

You can also put in the tekcoin.conf file
splitthreshold=12000 or whatever value you want
It will not help with combining though.
it will keep blocks from splitting unless over that amount
Unlike some mini-block stakers , I go for very large blocks

When you combine, say you want 200 coins in a block
select approx. 400 coins that have recently staked.
Put your own address in the send line and also, in the
the custom change line. Type 200 coins in send,
the balance goes to same custon change lineIt makes the
combines go twice as fast.

(If you don't see coin control to select the blocks and custom change
options, go to setings-options-display and check the box)

Yeah - a split block feature would be great in the future. It allows you to select as
many as you want and, then, to split into as many or few as you want. I love the wallets that have it

so, if somebody runs their TEK wallet from time-to-time and never combines blocks they'd eventually end up a micro staker without any deliberate attempt to game the coin?

These fking regulations are pissing me off.

Because I"m in new york I can't withdraw more than $25 a day from cryptsy, so my tek is stuck. We need another exchange besides cryptsy.

Or if some of you have suggestions, I'd be open to that.

Cryptsy new regs are insane for Tier 0,

All US exchanges are going to be doing this soon.

Tek also has https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=TEK_BTC
in New Zealand with none of these dumb requirements.

We just need to start using them to increase their volume.

 Cool

The US regulations are for taxes and more taxes
 - just too much debt here in the good ol' USA.

I am sure the Know your customer laws figure in as well.
All US exchanges will be made to require more information for
meaningful trading.

I have been trying to trade at Cryptopia but, there has been
no volume on several coins that also trade on Cryptsy.
I, also, hope to see more volume on Cryptopia but, will
continue to use Cryptsy as well. It may help to have 2 functional options.

Thanks you 2, I will look into cryptopia.

2016 can't come soon enough to kick these pricks out. Donald Trump 2016!

Trump will win by a landslide in 2016. I also called Trudeau's landslide victory, no one believed me. It was glaringly obvious to me that he would win a majority government.

I'm not Canadian but I'm going to guess that Trudeau won because he was a populist.

We in the United States are having a similar thing going on, though a lot of people (we call them establishment) don't want Trump or Sanders in office because it'll actually make everyone more honest, and the elites can't have that.

I will say this, if Trump wins here, I'm sure our time in being in cryptocurrencies will be awesome because Trump is a businessman first, and a very successful one at that, and he wants us all to get rich.

Trump for President 2016!
