Hey, Merry Christmas!

I had problems with new wallet 2.3 syncing issues.
Went back to 2.2 wallet has been working just fine!
Same block height as presstab explorer, has stayed in sync since
I reloaded it a few weeks back. The 2.3 kept getting out of sync.
Since 2.3 was not a mandatory upgrade, tried older wallet 2.2
Have not had any problems with it.
And Cryptsy can kiss my BUTT! Cannot get withdrawals on many coins.
As soon as they think you are trying to sneak coins off in large quantities,
wallets mysteriously go into maintenance. Or have to pay way more than at
other exchanges for same coins!

Peace, Dennis

Wanna bless you all! peace and//
I just think that if they (Cryptsy) are under NSA watch, then some coins were "Asked" to be put on hold and nsa will go and take a closer look at every fucking dev team and sey - ok,-" now you can put it back online.. this coin has community+ some plans.. now people in very coin community is a soldier of the coin he-she holds! if the coin has devcrew, Roadmap and can control its self inflation."

.and after some time it will become the new type of decentralized commercial organization ..with equal workers who can hire and fire themselves at will by just holdins or selling os staking etc. and when the network of nodes grows big enough and hashpower is good at the background.. then any "coin" must find its "killer" main application (dapp?! not sure) to get use of its blockchein or die  Grin

tip.. just go sell some tek at cryptsy for ~0.00000500-+ => exchange to any other "coin" you like or can just keep in traditional Smiley btc and trow it to another exchange and buy tek at Cryptopia for 0.00000300
you gonna get much bigger chank of TEK at the end and aftere all it can be changed to youan cny.. wich makes it cool toy for crazy china megabitcion companies and perhaps endless depth of CNY ann btc market..
so more tekcoin you have the more you can stake and then sell halve of your stake to CNY and then throw some of it to BitBays arbitrage fund and repit the cykle before I find my self raving in Goa! Mary Crystmass TEKHEADS!!!
For the tekcoin we can promote tek as the virtual hashpower.. which it is Smiley
peace

On wallet synching issues: Yeah, I'm still having issues. I think I got some corrupt data in my copy of the blockchain. All the "easy" fixes failed, so I'm currently resynching from zero. Tek synchs almost as slow as bitcoin, so it'll be a day or two before I know, but so far it's synching smoothly.

Since all of you who posted blocks you were stuck at or timelines (20 hrs, etc) were different, I think the issue is probably local for all of us. I was nearly 2 weeks behind.

I'm considering putting up another version of my wallet on a droplet or something like, so I can compare performance. It is quite likely that my local problems come about from having too much going on in my machine Cheesy

Do you know about zram? To get a good performance test in a 1GB RAM droplet, be sure to setup zram or you may run your system out of RAM. Or so I've heard.  Wink

As I said a few pages back... do not deposit any coin on craptsy... they have no honor/trust/pride/etc.  I have shifted all craptsy trading to cryptopia and, while the HMI isn't perfect, at least I'm ok with their management style... as of today.

In crypto, as on the craps tables in any casino, every minute that goes by changes the playing field.

Cryptopia is very good. Too bad that prices aren't going back to what they were thanks to stupid cryptsy.

I'll take the current prices... as long as craptsy goes away.

I submitted a support ticket about the tek wallet on cryptsy. They said they are having "network issues" and are waiting on a response from the developer...whatever that means

If you simply went into either service or scam accusations sub forums you'd see that they are having a lot of "network issues"...

I submitted a support ticket about ten days ago, and it took them 3 days to get back to me.  They told me that they were diligently working on fixing the wallet sync issues, and it should be fixed soon.  Obviously soon means something different to them then it does to me.  I opened another ticket about 3 days ago with an actual transaction ID this time and still haven't heard back....

Wait until cryptsy stake the wallet and then dump the coins on the market and crash TEK to the ground.

Anyone wants to buy or sell TEK should use Cryptopia instead.

Even if they fixed it and trading resumed, we probably couldnt get any BTC out. I've had a small amount pending from an HBN sale for two days.

Had BTC w/d pending forever. Finally, just bit the bullet and cancelled w/d and bought DMD and w/d that. I don't see coins coming off maintenance, just more going on.

probably a good idea for tekcoin.org to start monitoring cryptopia price for tekcoin, cryptsy price isn't doing tekcoin much good is it?

It is 1/5 the price on cryptopia and dropping steadily, though at least you can get your coins in and out there.

True market price is based ability to buy and sell AND withdraw either in TEK or the coin/FIAT that it was converted to.

If more of us start using Cryptopia the spread will close and the price will rise.
Just not enough volume yet. Or you can sell at Cryptsy - then buy a different coin to w/d.
Losing on the spread 2 - 3 times. After I was forced to do that to get my BTC out, Cryptsy has lost its
appeal to me. Here is to a new and better year in 2016.

Happy New Year from Las Vegas!

Happy New Year all.
Spending the day re syncing Tek wallet. This is the second time in a month.  Hope you are all having better sync luck then I.

I wonder if the 'hard fork' will help with this.
