OK i have done the color suggestion (i'm programming now).

the only problems is : if during the Lookup (Yellow) there is an error not caught Markets will remain Yellow. Red = Zombie status.

Actually my biggest problem is : why sometimes Markets will "frozen"? I don't get any error and i'm not able to understand  Angry Angry

Great,

and that is conforming too - so if a yellow tab is shown longer : time to check the market !

Yeah this is the problem.......there are a lot of things to consider while an external process is lookup on another process.....
I Hope to find the problem (if there's one) without do this kind of operation.

2013-12-27 09:25:02 - HTTP ERROR Server returned HTTP response code: 502 for URL: https://www.cryptsy.com/api TRY TO RECALL
2013-12-27 09:25:15 - HTTP ERROR Unexpected end of file from server TRY TO RECALL
2013-12-27 09:56:32 - HTTP ERROR Connection timed out: connect TRY TO RECALL
2013-12-27 10:48:05 - HTTP ERROR Connection reset TRY TO RECALL
No error in dos window, now only 2 markets green and 20 red. I think CAT just gets never a response and waits for it forever...

Do you feel like my contribution helped you a lot? Express your thanks by sending a tip here: 1STEFAN4c7ZW5wqrxKdHyLsxZAKaa947j

Now i'm tryint to use a TIMER instead of Thread. I'm testing it.
I don't like that every time programs get an HTTP Error some Markets get Frozen.....i don't want to think that is something i can't control (something inside Java Library or something else.....)

I've never seen anything like C.A.T.

I've used all sorts of trading programs in a number markets, particularly the fiat market of forex trading. I've collected a TON of metatrader bots. I've made a lot of money with them, and lost a lot, ending in profits not to brag about. But C.A.T. ...

This thing is in beta and after a week of constant trading I have NEVER seen a cumulative loss. And sampey is dishing out the updates regularly. I asked for a feature and the next day and update came out and my request made the update. I'm nobody special, but I was pleased.

Being new to using it, I'm looking for others to:
1) Share and optimize settings
2) accelerate and maximize the trading and profits at cryptsy

slavo said they were setting up a skype group and they contacted me on skype, but I don't see the group.

In any case, I have a topic with some questions so can you guys jump in and have at it? It's at:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=387417.msg4170580#msg4170580

thanks

I have had numerous losses.  To the point where I have stopped running CAT entirely.  Maybe if I babysat it more it wouldn't happen but I wanted a bot that I could set to aggressive at a low number (.5-1%) and walk away.  With the constant freezes and loss of the ping pong status I ended up holding a ton of alt coins that were less than half the value I bought at.  When it worked it was fine, and generated some small gains for me.  When it hung I had to spend a lot of time going through the 30+ open orders and sorting out what the actual buy/sell was supposed to be and manually putting them in.  Then I was stuck waiting to see if they would ever be filled so I could go back and actually start trading again.  I was on the sidelines for days in certain currencies waiting for it to bounce back to something reasonable when I could have made more trades in the lower ranges.

I am not saying this is anyone's fault.  Cryptsy has had a ton if stability issues that have led to most of the hangs.  I just want to warn people that despite a lot of the sunshine and roses here, there are serious potential drawbacks.  Don't trade anything more than fun money at this point.  I am certainly well in the negative given the .8 BTC I paid for it Sad.

This looks promising, but 700$ (~ current price of BTC) is a little steep.  I'd be more willing to shell that out if it used VIRCUREX or something else, but cryptsy f'in sucks as a trading platform.  I used it at first, but between slow deposits, slower order processing, and even slower updating of balances when orders are conducted, I can't trust it.

Truth is an error to compare the cost with FIAT Value : if C.A.T. takes 2 Weeks to Make 1 BTC Gain, it will takes 2 weeks if 1 BTC = 100 US or 1 BTC = 10.000 USD.
I have lowered the price only because all people make this kind of consideration, and i can't do nothing about  Cheesy

Only Cryptsy have the COMPLETE api i Need. No other site have that. I mailed coin-e and there's  the possibility to interface CAT with this site (if the add what i need)

will you disclose the total number of application sold/given out?

assuming all cats run with the same settings (e.g. aggressive >0,5%): the more cats are running, the less profitable each single one is
is this true?

No because there are a lot of factors in the game
- External buyers/sellers (i think 99.9% of Cryptsy Users)
- Reference Price of your Orders
- Price Of your orders

I Think that a lot of Cat runnings can help other Cat users to buy/sell when they are in "frozen" conditions.

Problem. CAT Create An Order and Cryptsy Give OK to order creation (There are the 3 ID).
CAT Try to delete these orders but Cryptsy doesn't Give OK, so CAT thinks......."While i was trying to delete, my order was selled", so it tries to find a Trade...........and it tries at least 10 times..........after that time......this is the message error you get.

I Will try to create better code for this part. This kind of error are very rare but i'm not sure it's a CAT Problem......

Change name to CAT Beta 3. We are very near the official 1 but i prefer to use the name BETA because i'm doing a lot of improvements and adding, i will use OFFICIAL when C.A.T will be complete and all will be satisfied (and Cryptsy will return faster).

Sent CAT BETA 3 to all CAT Users.
For each question/problems write here or PM ME.  Wink

Hi Mr. Luca "Sampey", the new version of C.A.T. Beta 3 (Cryptsy Automatic Trader) it's very very good.

Thanks for this update!
