Bounty hunters should be paid in ETH

The bounty hunter certainly hopes to get ETH's return. I think this proposal is very good. For this project, it is best to use ETH to pay to bounty hunters instead of using their own coins to avoid the risk of falling coin prices after exchange listing.

Not all bounty hunters sell their tokens when they are released, and some follow the campaign because they really support the project.

It will be a burden for project teams since they will be giving out the ETH they raised from investors  which would otherwise have sold to raise capita  for project development. More so, sharing  their own tokens also help the distribution/spread  of the token

since the purpose of bounty hunting is to promote or advertise a specific altcoin that will getting implemented after an ICO will be success. Holding the token for bounty hunters has a risk since the altcoin have a possibility to collapse. I've experienced this before that is why I'm getting upset on the distribution of payment in bounty using the altcoin as payment for the labor that we spend during the time of the campaign and the amount of altcoin we've received

Many times bounties are allocated much more tokens than they would otherwise allocate in ETH, as this would have to cut into their sale amount. For example, most bounties tend to allocate around $1 million worth of tokens, whereas $1 million might be around 10% of what they raise during their ICO. Do you really think they would give away 10% of this for the bounty, or promise an amount of ETH before they even know how much they'll raise? Ridiculous proposition.

I don't know if you can say that bounty hunters "deserve" the 1 to 2% and work hard.
The reality is, the vast majority of bounty hunters don't contribute any kind of good marketing at all.
You have the scammers, then the thoughtless posters, than the "media influencers" with like 500 to 1000 followers.
It is a stretch to say that bounty hunters deserve things.

As far as getting paid in eth, there was a bit of a trend of that last nov/dec.
What's interesting, is those projects didn't get much attention and campaigns moved away from that and back to paying in the native token.
Bounty hunters seem to want the native token more than eth.
I think there is the mentality that out of all the coins they earn, one or two of them might pump and moon so it is a more lucrative.

Me, personally, I would rather get paid in eth lol.

Paying in Eth is a big convenience to us as a bounty hunter rather than to sell tokens,you cannot expect token price and you need to pay for the gas and exchanger fees very hassle if paying in Eth no more hassle you can easly change into fiat and it is a big benefits to all investors because no more bounty hunter will dump the tokens.

If this were possible, I would probably be very happy, because the project tokens I participated in will be able to be released only after 6 months, so all my efforts as a whole can be rewarded only after 6 months, it's very long.

Token itself has purpose to make easy for every companies, if they pay in eth with a price that isn't stable it will feeling hard. It has to pay with with how much is it. If is in token, their teams have decided of course with amount of token and no need to wait the eth price to be stable.

All bounty hunter will very happy if this can be turn in to reality, but mostly all team developer dont agree with this because they want to have more ETH , and they only want to distribute bounty reward with their token.  Actually bounty reward in ETH is good thing also to avoid bounty hunter dump the token price and the investor will be protected from falling price.

For the bounty participants it would be very good. But don't forget the ICO is a fundraiser. If the project had the funds it seems to me that they'd buy advertising, and not the bounty.

Indeed ICO is a fundraising but they can always consider on paying their bounty participants with eth right at the end of their campaign. I mean they already have the money to pay in ETH. The think is, most bounty campaign happens so their tokens can be distributed as well. They take advantage of the fact that there is a huge number of bounty hunters that could mean a high volume on their coin once it got listed.

It is less risky for the ico team to dedicate tokens from the sold tokens pool into the bounty because the token only has a market value after it is listed on exchanges.

However, regulatory changes could soon have token allocation for bounties ruled out. So you might see ETH bounties at some point this year.

Will this force KYC more? We are now using a popular coin as the means of payment. I am not contradicting this, I also wanted to be paid in ETH or BTC for I think it will be more safe and less volatile than startup tokens. I am just saying that most people including me wouldn't like to do KYC.

Not all bounty are requiring kyc, there's still projects that allowed participants to received their tokens without any kyc requirements, I think it still depends, OP's arguments can be right in terms of assurance while other bounty hunters are also enjoying the payments such tokens knowing that
there's a high chances that the value will be more greater than expected.

What I'm saying is that, If we use ETH or BTC as means of payment will be a way ICOs can enforce KYC for participants?

Thank you for pointing that. I forgot that ICO tokens have more chances of being high in profit. But the other side of the coin is that it can also be a shitcoin.

I think that the participants in the generosity campaign ICO need to be provided. the right to choose payment for their work. It would be nice if in the form that we fill out when joining the ICO project, it would be possible to specify the form of payment. After all, some bounty hunters will not mind still getting new tokens if the ICO project is very promising. In general, the idea is good, however, for the ICO team this will be additional problems and therefore they are unlikely to want to do it.

Many projects can't hit any exchange make bounty hunters feel bad like that. But with some good ICO their tokens worth much more than ETH many times and it easy to pump too. So pay by ETh should be fair for bounty hunters as we spend a lot of time for thier project but many time we receive nothing back
