Guys our younger brother is alive and first:  https://counterwallet.co
Counterwallet is live on mainnet: https://counterwallet.co

And the client looks great. Although sweeping is not working for me, yet.

I wouldn't dare risk anything at this point, let the brave report back first

Yes the client is sweet, Hopefully our devs can incorporate some of their design features, from a client usability stand point

Please BE CAREFUL with your funds! Try an operation with a fraction of XCP or asset, get used to things, and then try more. Please email dev@counterparty.co with any bug reports involving loss or potential loss of funds.

Please BE CAREFUL with your pass phrase. Store it on paper, not on your computer. Store multiple paper copies in multiple different secure places. Do not give it a written description that would tell anyone what it's for (e.g. "My Counterwallet Password: " <=== bad move! Smiley ).

Also, please heed the following warning:
Counterwallet is BETA software and is still under heavy development. Please take caution in your use of it for storing and transferring funds on mainnet, and report any/all bugs. The Counterparty team cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen funds, although we will do everything in our power to prevent and rectify such situations.

So, technically, it's still in beta...

Well its live and working, which means they will get the spotlight as first, I hope their shine doesn't throw shade and marginalize in the event of when we are finally ready

Change log:

Fractional asset quantities. Enjoy another reset of testnet.

When issuing an asset, the maximum allowed number of digits after the asset
quantity decimal point can be specified as "decimals" parameter (allowed
values 0 to Cool. For example, this would be 2 for a currency like EUR, 8 for
Bitcoin.

Similar to prices, asset quantities can be specified either as quantityQNT,
expressed in the smallest possible quantity unit ("quant") for the specific
asset, or as quantityINT, expressed in whole asset units (which may however
contain a fractional part despite its name).
For example, 9.97 USD can be expressed as either quantityINT="9.97", or
quantityQNT="997", assuming decimals=2 for USD.

JSON responses containing quantities or asset balances are again returned in
both quantityINT and quantityQNT, as strings.

When placing an ask or bid order, if quantityQNT is specified, the price is
interpreted to apply to QNT quantity units (regardless of whether the price
itself was specified in NXT or in NQT). If quantityINT is specified, the
price is interpreted to apply to INT quantity units.
For example, a bid order for quantityQNT="300", priceNXT="2", for asset USD
will be interpreted as $3.00 at 1 cent = 2 NXT, i.e. 200 NXT for one dollar,
600 NXT total.
If parameters are submitted as quantityINT="7", priceNXT="50", the order will
be for $7.00 at 50 NXT for one dollar, 350 NXT total.

Internally order matching and tracking of account asset balances is always
done in quantityQNT. An unfortunate side effect for now is that when placing
an order using quantityINT, the calculated price in NQT for one QNT unit must
be an integer.
So you cannot place an order for quantityINT="1", priceNXT="10.12345678"
(or equivalently priceNQT="1012345678"), because then the price of one
quantityQNT will be 10123456.78 NQT. The priceNXT will have to be either
10.12345600 or 10.12345700. If this is confusing, specify the order as
quantityQNT="100", priceNQT="10123456".

fantastic news, 2 weeks ago I sent email to Yashu and here is a first result, Nxt is glorified in another mainstream/important media + there will be a story only about Nxt:

http://www.forexminute.com/bitcoin/cryptocurrency-trading-news-bitcoin-litecoin-dogecoin-stable-nxt-market-cap-surges-to-6th-place-27773

- please come and make some nice comments Smiley thanks

Quote
Nxt Enters the Top Ten
Touted as the next generation of cryptocurrency, it stylishly lost its ‘E’ and became ‘Nxt’ – the coin for the future. Though what it gained was the investors’ eyeballs, which further reflected its recent rise. Nxt, within days of its launch, beat Auroracoin, Mastercoin and Namecoin to become the cryptocurrency with the sixth largest market cap. According to CoinMarketCap.com, Nxt currently holds around $29m with its each unit price trading at around $0.028.
We will soon do a special story on Nxt. Keep watching this space.

Hi All!
SHA miners, I apologize for not getting your payments from earlier today sent through yet.  I have been hard at work setting up another SHA256 port for you all to earn NXT with!  I will be paying the SHA workers out tomorrow for both today and tomorrow.
Can I please also get your assistance in testing out the new SHA port?  It will be merge mining BTC, NMC, DVC and IXC simultaneously (and promises to be far far more profitable than the current SHA port that everyone is using.)  There is the chance that there may be some periods where we may not strike a payout for ~24 hours at a time but when we do it promises to pay out far moreso than the MZC port currently does.

Please point your SHA miners to:

stratum+tcp://107.170.89.12:5008
username:  NXTWalletAddress
password: any password

Tomorrow I will be pointing the DNS 'btc.hashrate.org' at this IP (so you should be able to use stratum+tcp://btc.hashrate.org:5008 tomorrow - but for now please test it directly with the IP.   Thank you all!

I've pointed my miner at your new port - when/where will the website and stats be up?
People don't generally like mining 'blind'... and the stats on hashrate have been a bit temperamental?
Thanks,
Ian

Hi Guys,

Newbie problem/question so please bear with me

I installed the windows version of the NXT client yesterday from http://nxtra.org/nxt-wallet/ and funded it with a small amount of NXT. I now can't find it on my PC. There's no reference to it in the programs folder where I would have expected to find it and no link on the desktop or in the tray at the bottom of the screen. When I do a search of my PC all I can find is the NXTWallet-Win Zip folder. My OS is Windows XP.

Where's the client gone?  Huh

TIA for any help.  Smiley

Do you still have the password? then your funds are safe!

Your program is wherever you unpacked the zip file. It does not install itself in program files or add shortcuts.

So basically if he ran it directly out of the zip, then it is/was only stored in the %TEMP% folder. Just reinstall it then and save it this time, then you should be fine!

Thanks for the fast responses.

Yes, I did run it directly out of the zip and sorry to say never realised i needed to manually save it. I've checked the Temps folder but can't find it. I did though save the auto generated pass phrase so if I ever do find the missing client, I can get my NXT back but it was only a small amount so not a problem. Meanwhile I'll install a new client and this time save it! Thanks again for the help Smiley

As long as you have you password you can access your NXT from any computer in this world or any client. So no worries, and any amount of NXT is important one. Maybe not at the moment, but we all hope so in the future.  Smiley

You can see your NXT in the NXT blockchain explorer. Just input your account number if you have saved it.

Yes, also very curious about it. Have been testing it on the testnet using wesleyh s client, seemed pretty stable and functional already a couple of weeks ago. Could someone working on it (James,?) tell us what's the status? How many bugs are there? What specific features need to be tested?
Mastercoin and counterparty already have their clients. We need to get things done soon.

Thank you, appreciate your hard work

I have seen Ripple's client, and CounterParty's client.  They look really clean.  The new (soon to be) NXT client is just as clean and smooth in my opinion though too.  I know building such a platform isn't easy at all and takes a lot of time.  Mastercoin took a veeeeeeery long time and I am not sure if anything will come of it.

Still... I think it is a good question and I would be curious to know.  No pressure.
