Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

It was replaced with other version.

And they couldn't be bothered updating the sha-256 hash?  The source code isn't even released yet, at least we can know we're downloading the author's intended version, rather than some hacked set your computer on fire version.

Unless we set up more NXT nodes, true, they will outnumber us.
But thanx to CfB we won't be outgunned Smiley
So it all depends on all who wants NXT to succeed, to set up a NXT node with a public IP, costs $5-10/month at any hosting provider. CfB will release an improved version soon that is better suited for attacks, but you must have the VPS ready to deploy it.

Change readTimeout and connectTimeout to higher values and ur node will find the longest chain eventually. Maybe u'll need to restart it a few times.

The other crypto-currencies can't stand NXT success. They try to resist by hiding numbers from market cap and posting anti-NXT thread on this forum.

Also :
Coinmarketcap can't handle such big numbers.

I will try to set up digitalocean $10/month node

1GB Memory
1 Core
30GB SSD Disk
2TB Transfer

Is it enough?

So you copied/pasted the hash that I generated?  You're not 2Kool4Skewl, why has the original post been updated with the latest version, but the hash in the original post has not?

Sorry I'm being impatient, but I can't read almost 300 posts about NXT.  It seems like the NXT original summary post should at least be accurate and not (unintentionally or not) misleading.

NXT is a decentralized, free market ecosystem that incorporates its own peer to peer asset exchange. The NXT Asset Exchange is a virtual market place that allows NXT users to generate assets that can be bought, sold or traded on the open market. These NXT based assets can hold a value of their own, like a crypto currency or loan marker, or be a representation of some thing physical, that has a value, like livestock, precious metals, or what ever NXT users have the creativity and capacity to imply to the asset. The NXT Asset Exchange is also capable of accepting deposits of assets that have been generated outside of the NXT blockchain such as Bitcoin, Litecoin and other crypto currencies. These deposited assets can be bought sold or traded on the NXT Asset Exchange in a similar fashion to conventional private exchanges like Cryptsy or Bter. To compliment and facilitate this free market, NXT also provides a common, decentralized currency. The NXT Asset Exchange provides a means for NXT users to buy, sell, or trade anything. Is this accurate?

I will try to set up digitalocean $10/month node

1GB Memory

Is it enough?

Yes if u don't announce ur server as public. For public nodes 1 Gb is not enough.
