here from my post Using Nxt to give gold in BBS replacing member point system: in reddit, anyones can donate btc to authors if they think the authors’ opinion is very impressive. In the same way, china has many bbs using member points. Vip members get many points, but thes points are no use. So if these points convert nxts, vip member would be very glad help other members. There are a huge members in IT. yes,our Nxt Chinese forum www.nxts.info has implemented rule of converting BBS Point to Nxt.

Final Draft Of Texas Bitcoin Conference Brochurehttp://www.scribd.com/doc/209289198/NXT-Brochure-DraftThis goes to the printer in Austin in 36 hours. Anybody have any comments to tell me I've said something stupid, please tell me now. The website new2nxt.com is live and it's mine. I will clean it up during the rest of the week and over the weekend. I intend for it to be (yet another) newbie site to find info and links on how to get started with NXT. Thank you, donor who shall remain forever nameless, for funding the printing of these brochures. The NXT community is full of REALLY GREAT people. Hi Rickyjames First of all, thanks for your work. I quickly flew over the text and it seems good to me (no details checked, but it is mainly marketing anyway). But what I don't like is the design: too many colors, too many different fonts in too many sizes. I'm not a graphic artist/designer or the like, but the overall layout looks a little tacky, at least to me. There are several designers in the NXT community, maybe someone can give you better input, maybe even do some quick magic on the layout. Cheers, LiQio

We need a campaign to get NXT to the right value. With some sponsorship I think I can manage just that.
I will start up a project to attract NEW investors (read NEW money).

Who is currently working on the Decentralized Marketplace / Auction system?
I don't believe anyone, there were talks about using a torrent style system to distribute marketplace which could be loaded to client. If you are interested in developing, there would be quite a large bounty available. Indeed, i am interested. Have there been any discussions about that on public forums, if yes where? Who has set a bounty for that?

I feel the need to weigh in again on the forging rewards debate:
We do not need to change the current forging setup. Forging right now is completely fair. Everyone who forges gets a small percentage increase in their NXT holdings, in the form of tx fees. You must remember that NXT is (as rickyjames keeps telling us) a zero-sum game. There are only one billion (minus a few) coins in existence. Forging does not make new NXT, just moves the old NXT around.
Pools will make it easier for smallholders to keep their forging power online, but will make absolutely no difference to earnings thru forging.
(This brings me to the 1st gen/2nd gen thing...more on that later) Forging will only provide a sizeable income if/when we have a large amount of NXT transactions, which will only happen if NXT is in wide-scale adoption as a 1st generation crypto (ie, pay, move, store, invest, use like money). Even then, forging will never give the dramatic gains that some people seem to expect.
But we need to encourage a healthy network: lots of NXT nodes, big, small, forging, non-forging, it all helps. The easiest way to do this is to implement a rewards scheme running alongside forging, but one that rewards setting up and running a node: Jl777's NodeCoin plan, in other words.
TL:DR Reward nodes, listen to jl777, do not fuck around with forging.
Back to the 1st Gen/2nd Gen thing: some people have expressed the opinion that NXT should completely skip the whole idea of being a successful 1st Gen crypto (ie pay, move, store, invest) in favour of going straight to concentrating on being a 2nd Gen crypto (AE, AM, DACS, colored coins, games....etc).
Good idea but if NXT is a success as a 1st gen currency: We will have lots of money to spend on setting up 2nd gen features/DACS. We will have a large user base ready to invest in and adopt 2nd gen features. We will have a much higher profile in the crypto and wider worlds.
We can't expect to just go from zero to successful 2nd gen without first succeeding as a 1st gen. I can't see it happening..... Correct me if i'm wrong, but all other 2nd gen cryptos are either stuck in development hell or riding on the back of Bitcoin, a successful 1st gen currency. See where I'm going with this ?
Last 1st gen vs 2nd gen point: assuming that we have 15,000 unique NXT users (number out of my head) , how many of those people are capable of doing effective development work on the 2nd gen features ? 5% ? 10% ? 20% ? But everyone can participate in making NXT a success on the 1st gen level, simply thru marketing, encouraging adoption, and actually helping to build a 1st gen eco-system thru trading and use.
I'm not saying stop work on 2nd gen, I am saying that more of us should concentrate on getting the 1st gen basics of NXT right, while the big brain/serious dev skills dudes can build the fairy castles in the sky that will make us all rich.
Hopefully......
+1 Couldn't've said it better.

NXT developers should prioritize a colored "gaming" coin. The gaming market is huge and there are tournaments being played all the time online for money. It would be convenient to trade with NXT instead of cash because many gamers are young and international. It will be quick to transfer money from one corner of the world to the next. I play Starcraft II and Diablo III. Starcraft 2 has tournaments all the time, and you could trade Diablo 3 items for NXT. The potential is huge!
Choboy, I've sent you a PM. Also -- James is cooking up some very, very cool things for end users to create their own coins. re: price speculation -- that's the one thing i **LOVE** about this thread; we don't get bogged down in price. Yeah, sometimes we joke and half-heartedly take a stab at starting a HODL meme. We'll get a 'TO DA MOON' every 30 pages or so. Occasionally talk about hitting $1, or $10, etc, and what kind of market cap would be needed to support that. The reason it's cool we don't talk about it much is a lot of folks here are involved with various projects. I don't think there's much time for 'daydreaming', as fun as it is. Let me retrace that a bit -- we spend time daydreaming about features and functions and services, and not so much price. Compare Nxt's TPS, and TF, and AE, and future services in context of its total coins in circulation vs. everything else out there. An ecosystem vs. one trick ponies. Misc: If this post lands on page 1958, my birthday page will be in 11 pages. and: a few pages back I mentioned every day was like Christmas morning in the Nxt world... I received **TWO** donations today! AND... did I just FORGE MY FIRST BLOCK??? [2014-02-26 01:27:45.428] DEBUG: Account 13891739725946840876 generated block 7618915659976390890In my transaction list it shows I received 1 NXT and instead of a user icon, there was a block icon. That block generated less than 30 seconds from me opening my laptop for the first time today. Crazy!

Whilst I am waiting for CfB to come online to discuss TF it would be very helpful if someone could create a blockchain statistical chart that specifically tells us the number of blocks found by the top 100 forgers along with their relative stake (over say the last 30 days) or has someone already got this on a website (I couldn't find this particular chart)?

If you need to use a non-default port, the port has to be appended to your announced address too. It does not need to be the same as nxt.myPeerServerPort, so you can run the server on one port but forward a different router port to it. If the port is not set in announced address however, but nxt.myPeerServerPort is non-default, nxt.myPeerServerPort will automatically be appended to the announced address.
You meant "nxt.peerServerPort"?

Version 0.3.4 of Nxs is how up on GitHubAll API / UI server requests are now done through POST (with a config option for GET for backwards compatibility with Nxt versions prior to 0.8 ). Nxs now has a sidebar for navigation (similar to the nxtra.org NXT Wallet's) because the advanced Nxt features such as Messages, Aliases, Asset Exchange, etc. won't fit into the navigation bar at the top. Aliases have now been implemented and can be registered and updated on the Aliases page. If you choose "Nxt Account" as your type, the Nxt account number URI will automatically be wrapped with "acct:" and "@nxt" so the full URI is something like "acct:0000000000000000@nxt". This is an attempt to help push a standard for Nxt account number alias URIs in solidarity with wesley's NXT Wallet app. In the future, these account numbers will be able to be entered as the recipient in a transaction as well. Also, aliases now show up in their registering and updating transactions on the Transactions page. Along with the new side bar, the pages interface has been completely revamped to show only one page at a time instead of the old navigation system where you could toggle widgets on and off and display multiple widgets at a time. The initial version with toggling widgets made too much of an attempt to emulate Nxt's default NRS GUI instead of rethinking the interface altogether. Rate of requests for new data is now adjustable in "assets/js/config.js" allowing Nxs to potentially run more smoothly on older computers. Repo available here along with installation instructions and the full change log can be found here. New screenshots can be found here.

Close but it doesn't show their stake (so a little tricky to quickly work out what I want to) although it is rather interesting if you click on a few of those to see their current balance. The top generators one is closer although it would be better if it could be just "top generators for the last 30 days".
