Q: Why was the initial funding cancelled suddenly with few people? A: I wanted Nxt to be launched by the community, not by a single person. Success of Nxt is supposed to be achieved by work of a LOT of PEOPLE. His answer is not convincing. This is the same bullshit like "he wanted 21BTC to get invested so he lost his chance in the IPO". If he wanted a lot of people to start Nxt with, he hadn´t stop the IPO so suddenly. But that is history. Now we should focus on more important things, because that´s the future. Symbolism is very important. BCNext has a reason for doing everything. Do not ignore what he is trying to convey. 2kewl4skewl, we are usually in agreement here, but on this topic I have to disagree for a couple of reasons. The arbitary 21 BTC limit has been the biggest headache for all of us and a tumor on our marketing abilities. EVERYONE uses it against us. I just had to write long ass paragraphs to defend this YET AGAIN over at reddit 30 minutes ago. If the reason for choosing 21 BTC was some sort of pseudo-numerological symbolism then I am genuinely scared of what else he has planned.

If BCNext is not going to lead us and manage his baby, then we will need to take over. Get a full-time project manager on top of this and do it ourself. But FFS, we need transparency and information.
This seems to be the crux right now. BCNext has already said that he wants the community to take over. So let's do that. If they need info, get it to them. We need to take ownership of OUR Nxt project and move forward instead of waiting for some invisible figure that is supposed to bail us out in April. If there is nothing finished in April, we're basically boned anyway. Better to be boned while having worked on it, that boned while being passive. Does this seem reasonable and would BCNext (who still has info we need, I think) be willing to cede this information (looking at CfB here)? Looking for a way out of this impasse We are working hard. Everyone of us, but it would help out a lot if BCNext actually just made some factual statements about the plan, his planned involvement and so on. I asked CfB to ask BCNext about this 2 months ago, then I took it up in this thread 2 weeks ago and we had a big discussion about it and clearly everyone was in agreement that we need to get rid of the smoke and mirrors, but now again this flare up because people want answers. I just simply do not see what the big deal is. Why can't we just get all of this blur out of the way and get focused as a big collaborative effort. We all respect BCNext and thank him for what he has done for us. Now, we would like to help.

What we have now is a cool-sounding project, with some cool functions and a lot of promises, where most of them are still in the fog where only god (BCNext) can see them. We either need more gods, or the fog to disappear in order to get this project deliver those promises.

Eleven is a master number . According to Pythagorean school conscience makes one complete cycle as it passes the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 digits each digit has special properties such as 9 is the digit that added another digit always gives the other digit 9 +1 = 10 = 1 +0 = 1 8 +9 = 17 = 1 +7 = 8 is the digit that always yields for the other grow. Is the spiritualization of matter and 6 is the materialization of the spirit in a fractal universe when it gets to 11 this is not reduced to 1 +1 = 2 11 is a master number . 1 + 1 does not make 2 is something else. can not be reduced to say that awareness has been raised to a higher level has started a superior cycle. fact that Nxt born at 11 means that its mission is to raise awareness . promote a paradigm shift . is intended to help spend humanity to a higher level of consciousness. individuals, entities , things, born under this number have a higher degree of responsibility to others . BUT, to get back to the real world, we have a problem with information apparently, and that needs to be addressed. We have a load of people who want to get on with it, and apparently they are stuck due to a lack of info. I don't mind that the info they need is only shared with them, if BCNext doesn't want it in thread, but if you have professionals that are asking for info they need to do their jobs, the normal response is to take them seriously.

To get Nxt to a higher and professional level we sure need a good plan and transparency! The symbolism about the 21 BTC are a cool gadget, but we need to organize better to get really big and important in the future, otherwise we wouldn't be taken serious.

EVERYONE UPVOTEI have already sent out a SWARM to my SWARM group, but since this is a reddit swarm (algorithm put preference on new links) for a rare occurence I think it's best to involve the whole community. We need to try to get the news of Klee's NXT donation to the frontpage of the /r/futurology subreddit. Don't create more than 1 username to vote and comment as reddit detects several upvotes from 1 computer and turn them into downvotes instead. Simply upvote and comment something positive about NXT and the research (if it interest you): http://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/1z2f4p/cryptocurrency_enthusiast_donates_1_million_nxt/ Done

I respect him too, but he's obviously not immune to critcism. Anyone who has spent time in the community knows how much of a headache the "cut short IPO" has been for marketing. I'm sure I hear that attack several times a day and have for over 2 months. Even PROMINENT crypto players stay away from NXT because we have got this "premined BS" label all over us, JUST because the IPO was cut short. All I am saying is that if his reason for this was nothing other than symbolism, which he didn't warn people of pre-IPO, then that was a very, very poor move from a marketing / getting people to adopt NXT perspective

By the way, the *real* irony here is that we have a guy putting references to 1984 into his Genesis account and here we are willing to take his word without proof.
That doesn't reflect bad on BCNext, but on us!
To wax philosophical: people create their own chains. If we want Nxt to be succesful, we need to lose the God-complex.
I am grateful for Nxt having been created, and also would like to have the talented person that created it on board. But just waiting for him to bail us out (and this is not meant as a criticism for all the people who *are* working hard!) is self defeating.

** Cryptsy Update **
I just heard back from Paul (met him at the Miami Bitcoin Conference), they are looking to implement Nxt in the next few weeks.
I talked with Big Vern @Skype and I introduced CfB to him - he said he will talk to Paul about it (to get help from CfB if needed). Fantastic. I did a virtual introduction with all the different devs including CfB and Jean-Luc a few weeks ago as well... they have the resources, now it's just a matter of finding time to implement. Nxt keeps taking another step. Let me make a suggestion to keep this ball rolling. We should ask the Cryptsy folks to document what was required to get NXT plugged into their system. Then we should turn right around to allwelder or some of the other Chinese NXT members and see that this info from Cryptsy gets communicated to BTX38.com in China. We need to be on both of these exchanges as soon as possible. It is the only way we are going to get exposure to a new pool of capital to buy NXT and get our exchange volume back up. during last voting(not for trading, just for adding to their database and mainpage),Nxt was ranked back.victor is PRT. http://www.coin38.org/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1672BTC38 choose coins from their database to put it into trading system. So we need first to let Nxt be added into their database. I have contact with them, there will be another vote recently. So now,we first need to register on www.coin38.org,fill personal profile, prepare for the next voting for adding Nxt to their database. Come on,Nexters. I don't understand what I have to do here. Can you explain it more? register----modify your avatar----wait for the next vote.

What do you think about limiting max forging power to anywhere between 1% to 5%

Good point. Maybe, BCNext is intentionally being vague, because he wants us to be independent and think for ourselves. Maybe, the "fatal flaw" is our reliance on him.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least. For a "decentralised" project to depend on a central figure and even create some kind of "myth" around him is not needed.

I thought that might be the reason. Now, what does the number 21 symbolize? <pureSpeculation> Satoshi chose 8 decimal places after the point coz he expected that one day 1 BTC would be worth 1'000'000 USD. In such the case 1 satoshi would be worth 1 cent. BCNext chose 21 BTC coz he expected that one day 1 billion NXT would be worth the same as 21 million BTC. In such the case we would see 1'000'000-fold growth. </pureSpeculation>
