I've released a early preview of the service we've been building the last weeks. The preview is on TESTNET only, so all data you see apart from market overview are from the TESTNET. It might prove useful to those testing the network. The full version that runs on the main network will be released in a few days, barring bugs/issues. In the meantime, you'll find the following: * Live market data with candlesticks, averaged global NXT/USD/EUR price and live calculator. TESTNET only:* Advanced block explorer ( including messages, aliases, assets) * Distribution charts * Charts and more charts. All data are always up-to-date to the latest block. http://testnet.nextblocks.infoComments and suggestions are welcome. Coming soon: Asset-specific candlesticks and market data, and trustless wallet service a-la blockchain.info.+1 What about individual profiles to see an overview, nice graphics and some stats about AE regarding one Nxt account? Would be the to-go place for traders to keep track of activities. Somebody should do this immediately! On the (huge) TODO list :-) AE can have so many features, it is a category on it's own.

Offer to the CommunityI am a stakeholder and contributor here who has been following intently and am intimately familiar with what sems to be the needs and desires of this community. I also happen to be a professional "head hunter" with a registered business. Aviston Technical Services, Inc located in Franklin Park, IL I have been recruiting for over 10 years. I've owned my own recruiting company for over a year now. You can view my linkedin profile at https://www.linkedin.com/in/avistontech my companies website (which is kind of basic and not something I focus on) is at http://avistontech.comI have not been able to help noticing that this community seems to be in dire need of Java Developers, which in my experience are very very difficult to find and place. They are one of the most in demand type of programmers there are and companies pay people like me a premium to find them. If you can find a good Java programmer to work with you it's almost a guaranteed placement as long as you market them around to the right companies. Most of my experience as a Recruiter has been in filling Technical Positions in the Mfg. industry such as Maintenance Technician, Q.A Managers, Production Managers, etc for Foods, Plastics & Chemical Mfg companies. I have successfully recruited Programmers but mainly these are Control engineers who are able to program Programmable Logic Controllers. However considering my knowledge w/ NXT and BTC and also considering the fact that I have done some programming myself (mostly C, Javascript and PHP) I think if I had some good details regarding the specific needs for these roles that i could be successful in recruiting them. Which leads me to the question of whether the community here might not be interested in enlisting the services of someone such as myself to help locate a good Java developer to continue this project when C.F.B departs. My services are offered on a contingency basis, meaning it's an all or nothing proposition to my clients, either I fill the position and collect my "bounty", which is typically 25% of annual base salary or I don't and I get 0, zip, nada for my efforts. I can offer better rates for retained services. I have a careerbuilder account and can post an ad for the position (this costs $419 to put up yourself) and also go into the database and seek out candidates with the required skills for the position and contact them directly. I typically spend many hours talking in great detail with each candidate, probing for weaknesses, making sure it's the right fit and is something the candidate would be excited to be hired for. I then present the candidates for interview and help coordinate that as well. I also generally offer a free replacement guarantee, typically 60 days, to ensure the new hire transitions and sticks with their new role and the company isn't left out of a large sum for new hires that don't work out. . I would be open to receiving my commission completely in NXT, which could also be something of a historical event (a recruiting company who accepts NXT) and perhaps a blurb could be added to the marketing literature. I cannot offer my services for free as it is very time consuming and it is what I do for a living. I could consider offering an attractive rate, perhaps 20% of annual base instead of my usual 25% since I am invested in NXT and believe in the product very much. So I thought I'd throw that out there. If it's not something the community is interested in no hard feelings. I do very well doing what I do and it's not something I need, in fact I'd have to clear my plate a little to take it on, but I have been putting some thought into getting into this crypto space since it's something I am very passionate about and know a lot about. I recently made some contacts with the developers at WPCS (btxtrader.com) and they have been considering enlisting my services in return for my being compensated in BTC. If this is something the community would be interested I'd be happy to talk about it in more detail with someone who could authorize such an action. To those who have bad perceptions of the recruiting industry; I agree with you. There are a lot of crappy ones out there who do nothing more than throw resumes at the wall hoping something sticks and who don't know anything more about the jobs they work on beyond knowing a few buzzwords. I am not like those recruiters. I am very knowledgeable about any position I work with and I work very hard to get it right and find the perfect win/win situation. I have a reputation to uphold and thrive on repeat business with my clients. I don't like to put my recommendations on my linkedin profile (because my competitors will know that company uses recruiters) but I do have one up there from the HR Manager at Nation Pizza Products in Schaumburg, IL that says: Brian has presented excellent candidates over the years for '"tough to fill positions". He's always extremely professional, honest, and trustworthy.October 27, 2012, Lori was Brian's clientI'm also a 6 year veteran of reddit and go by the same username there as I do here. Just in case anyone wants to look into my history to make sure I'm legit. I generally keep these two lives separate so pardon any non-businesslike discussions I might have gotten into on reddit over the years. That is all. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Could be fun and it could be successful.

Wesleyh, When will the Mac client be updateable? I know you're concentrating on the whiz bang wallet, but the original client is still at 0.8.8. -- also, someone said something a few pages upstream: CfB's mmorpg is a separate project from Nxtopia... unaffiliated and unrelated. Although CfB's expertise would be welcomed. -- antanst: beautiful work!

Please note that I goofed in my original post about the multipool. The ports are 3008 for the vardiff, 3032 for the fixed 32-difficulty shares and 3256 for the fixed 256 difficulty shares. that is:
stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:3008 for vardiff stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:3032 for fixed 32-dificulty shares stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:3256 for fixed 256 difficulty shares.
username: your NXT id password: whatever you want
The share stats are all on the hashrate.org page but they are currently password protected because I am exposing them directly through the redis-commander (which is a big security nono) - I will get the stats all on a totally open public-facing page first thing tomorrow. I should have SHA-2566 up by then too.
Thanks all!
Hi all, I should have the public facing site available later tonight - sorry, I am at my day job currently and I have to go out to my parents for dinner after work but I will get the statistics working tonight once I get home. I will also have a status page, where you can easily check the pool health/status/latency. For now though, here are the pool stats per worker: NXT ADDRESS WORK (SHARE * SHAREDIFF) 1762953482260651997 70960 10533725144527397164 2760 7618169005788956270 80704 10585982206581025333 391976 9415965710853847055 7360 7636587858188289735 24600 11406935220378196801 5568 7060315567742807944 9024 14475745119171788011 9728 13777396447329170446 34896 2188420453403939369 7968 283604373343614492 26656 (the full pay-out policy will be posted on the site once it's made public later today, but it pays out prop based on amount of work done. And yes, I'm aware my numbers don't fully add up because I omitted some test workers I was using on the pool. I won't pay myself out at all for this first manual payout, but just for the math geeks here are the ones I omitted:

There doesnt appear to be a timeline of any sorts, but do we know which features will be released first? leased forging, AT, AE, UDP/binary, etc? Im primarily interested in leased forging, and would like to get an ideas as to the APIs that will be available for issuing, recalling, and stats.

Guys, imagine many many assets for BTC on the Asset Exchange. And one of them is the asset of James' gateway.
What could we do to make it easier for average Joe to choose the right and trusted one and ignore the shitty scam assets?
have a site where verified companies advertise and people "request a code" by entering there nxt address in a box for the company/asset they are intersted in buying and they get a message on the client from the real seller of the asset with a link to the real asset! perhaps on the new block explorer that gives stats! just have a green tick or something for a verified companies Other less centralized ideas?

Video: SafeCurves: Choosing Safe Curves for Elliptic-Curve CryptographyDaniel J. Bernstein and Tanja LangePresented at ShmooCon 2014There are several different standards covering selection of curves for use in elliptic-curve cryptography (ECC). Each of these standards tries to ensure that the elliptic-curve discrete-logarithm problem (ECDLP) is difficult. ECDLP is the problem of finding an ECC user's secret key, given the user's public key. Unfortunately, there is a gap between ECDLP difficulty and ECC security. None of these standards do a good job of ensuring ECC security. There are many attacks that break real-world ECC without solving ECDLP. The core problem is that if you implement the standard curves, chances are you're doing it wrong: - Your implementation produces incorrect results for some rare curve points.
- Your implementation leaks secret data when the input isn't a curve point.
- Your implementation leaks secret data through branch timing.
- Your implementation leaks secret data through cache timing.
These problems are exploitable by real attackers, taking advantage of the gaps between ECDLP and real-world ECC. Secure implementations of the standard curves are theoretically possible but very hard. Most of these attacks would have been ruled out by better choices of curves that allow simple implementations to be secure implementations. This is the primary motivation for SafeCurves, http://safecurves.cr.yp.to/. The SafeCurves criteria are designed to ensure ECC security, not just ECDLP security. https://archive.org/details/ShmooCon2014_SafeCurves
