This is on nxtra on the testnet. I created a new account, sent testNXT to it, then attempted to send testNXT back to original testNXT account, and got the Unknown Account error. Not sure if sending to account 1 works or not. It did not occur to me to try that. All joking aside; I have received the same error; Unknown Account, posted last night but no one responded. Basically once you own an Asset Name, then you can create a subasset for a much lower fee. this essentially allows branding of the root name and then people will know that anything that starts with that is from the same issuer So Anon gets his Anon136 asset name. Now he can issue: Anon136.silver1oz Anon136.silvershot Anon136.silveretc It still has a squatting issue with it, but now the squatters have to squat on the names of the issuers, not the target asset. This is far riskier as if a specific name is taken, there are always others that can be used. Unlike "BTC", which is unique. If we are going to change the NXTcore for asset names, this one might be worth doing. James Yes, the ideas are basically the same (alias = root name). However, using Aliases will only require the <AliasIssuer=> tag in the description while creating sub-assets would require modification to the NXT core. So it depends on what direction JL wants to take. @Everyone: Since JL already made the change to the code that non-unique asset names are allowed, perhaps we will see lower fees on issuing assets. |

There is no plan for him. hes a lonley little soul who wonders around causing hate and confusion. weeping every night that he missed an opportunity to be nxt founder. Although i will put this out there if nxt is not a good investment in your opinion emul what is? which project are you following that you are positive about? or this a full time thing trolling prices down? |

Took what I "could lose" and invested in nxt. I voted with my money because I really believe nxt has a chance to be something great. A new language, a great group of people trying to develop it. As time goes by, I have half what I put in. It hurts. But I wasn't ever intending to day trade nxt. I am in it for the long haul and continue to say good things about it! I think I am not the only one like me and hope nxt will bring about great changes.

To those that code and those that want to learnI came across this site: http://www.codecademy.com/Has anyone used it and is it any good? It has interactive help for JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PHP, Python, Ruby and APIs. Doesn't appear to have Java but a discussion recently about which language to learn I think supported Python (except CfB who said Java). Any thoughts? I am not a programmer but I used it, I learned some HTML/CSS, JavaScript. I think its very good for beginners, very easy to learn. |
