PayPal is just fine.
VAT number should be optional, providing it lets us not charge you VAT.
Where do I put in the VAT number to avoid having VAT charged at source? In the check out process it'll ask you on the right hand side when you're filling out your info. This doesn't seem to happen. On the right hand side, I only get Subtotal, Shipping, Taxes. At no step from Cart, Customer Information, Shipping Method, Payment Method is there a box to enter the VAT number. At what step _should_ it be there?

Coinwarz is wrong, it seems to halve the amount of coins earned per day for whatever reason (probably not been updated for ages, that site used to be good in 2014... not anymore nowadays).

Why not CryptoNight V7?
Seems like ROI is about the same as a GPU, but the savings in power after ROI make up for it. But then you are locked into the algorithms they release unlike GPUs.
It's a tough sell to me without a higher returning algorithm at the start.
Damn, decisions, decisions.
Because there's no such thing as cryptonight v7! It's cryptonight v1 on monero v7. Let's get the community corrected on that point. Anyone can release algorithms for these boards, not just us. There are several people doing it, and some have already posted public code. In the discord there's a dozen or so devs who are making bitstreams It's not too scandaleous to name it Cryptonight v7 You just named cryptonight v1 where it should be Cryptonight Cupid Shuffle This like people saying it's not a hoover, it's a vacuum cleaner. As long as we know what we are talking about I dont think it's an issue It should be corrected because there may one day actually be a cryptonight v7. It's called "VARIANT_1" in the code and you can see the monero wallet README that details cryptonight v1 being released under monero v7 https://github.com/monero-project/monero/blob/master/README.md1546000 2018-04-06 v7 v0.12.0.0 v0.12.0.0 Cryptonight variant 1, ringsize >= 7, sorted inputs Let's call a horse a horse, shall we?

Hi senseless, are you and GPUhoarder connected? It seems GPUhoarder identified himself as CEO or something of AirSquirrels. Consequently, the fpga.land website is listed as "in conjunction" whatever that means with Squirrel Labs.
Not sure if i'll get that info by backreading but would love to have more evidence this is legit.
Yes, this is a joint venture between us. Allmine inc is my company, AirSquirrel and Squirrel Research Labs are his. Instead of forming yet another company, we just signed a contract.

Can you just confirm this FPGA will mine monero now at around 14k hashes a second with the needed Bitstream provided on delivery? I dont want an algo that a x3 does at 220k+ Yes, what is really cryptonight v1 but what everyone calls cryptonight v7 will be at delivery. Everyone email whattomine and tell them to call it variant 0 and variant 1! please! There may really be a variant 7 one day!

@senseless In the other thread about "the risks of FPGA", you were talking about getting these things to GPU price levels. It might be early to ask, but in what sort of time frame do you see this happening? I'm asking because shipping + vat are costs that add up for us outside the US to something that is already pricey

I'm asking because shipping + vat are costs that add up for us outside the US to something that is already pricey It's something I'd like to do. If it's possible to get them to that level is another story entirely. Right now there are around 10M gpus securing the PoW networks. If we replace those with FPGA we're talking about moving 1M products. The GPU mining really only started taking off with litecoin and later. So we're talking about 6 years for that volume of product to move. I'm hopeful that it will become obvious to the powers that be, that this is a good market, and it is possible to move 100,000 units a year if we can reach a certain price point. It's possible / likely this will be the only batch of hardware we sell this year. Get them while you can. If you're with a company in the EU that is vat registered you can insert your vat id on your account profile. No matter what, you'll end up paying that vat unfortunately. The cost of living in the country you live in.

@Senseless
Do you have any idea about your potential improvements in Cryptonight or Lyra2z hashrate ? Is it more about x1,5 / x2, or do you expect something really bigger (x5 / x10 / ...) ? Just to have an idea.
Thanks !

Yes, there will be improvements. I'm not going to make any public claims as to how much those improvements will be until I know 100% for sure. There has been too much over-promising and under-delivering in this space. What I can tell you is that we're taking the opposite approach of under-promising and over-delivering. Assume that the rates in my OP are what you will achieve, use this as the basis for profitability calculations, then get your device (if you want one), and maybe you'll find an easter egg.

Senseless, would using a 16x-to-16x (powered) riser increase the speed of the FPGA card (as opposed to the commonly used 16x-to-1x risers used in GPU rigs)? ...as in full width ribbon risers making a comeback!

No, x1 is fine. We will be designing our shell for x1 reg access and x1 DMA access. There is only one situation where x16 would be required and it's not clear that situation would ever come to pass. If it does end up being needed it would only be for a single application and you would only need 1 fpga in the motherboard on an x16. I was planning to include risers with the boards as a bonus. We can get the cost down pretty heavily for such a large buy and save you guys a few $ on ancillary costs.
