Hashcows hit us. From nearmiss directly:

(12:27:45 AM) Maverickthenoob: as a favor, don't hit catcoin for a few days
(12:27:56 AM) Maverickthenoob: you're causing crazy diff oscilations
(12:31:08 AM) nearmiss: will do, I'll turn it off for min. 3 days, let me know how things look then
(12:31:15 AM) Maverickthenoob: thanks man
(12:31:19 AM) Maverickthenoob: I really appreciate that

Even at this diff should be about 25 Minutes a block, meainging we should be good to go in 9 hours. It's not that bad. Keep mining.

Oh that's good news then. I just hope that Middlecoin will leave us alone for a while as well (though something tells me they won't give a flying shit compared to Hashcows).

Nearmiss and aTriz are absolutely first rate admins. I have had nothing but good experiences with them and their honesty, integrity and transparency during their breach is absolutely one of the best responses I've ever seen. They ate $25,000 (40.8BTC) in losses personally, even though they didn't really have to. I have nothing but good things to say about that pool. They've even been known to drop coins when it causes too many problems, like they just did for us. They're doing things for the right reasons.

Catcoin, mine hard for 9 hours, and ye shall be rewarded. Long live catcoin.

Did anybody else from here closely observed Galaxycoin in the last month?
One time, I was lucky and mined out an insane amount of GLX in solo, but it was such a short time until the diff changed that it didn't really worth that much.

CAT now seems to do the same: UP for a short time and then DOWN again on the CoinWarz list because the difficulty changes relatively fast while the price is almost constant during a rush period retarget time.
This way, it's not the market which adjusts to the difficulty by giving the miners an optimal price, but it's the difficulty and the time while the coin is "active" or "passive" (as a second adjustment layer).

you do realise this is a 2 week old coin now do you ? talking about loss and shit ... what the fuck ? who the fuck invests for 1-2 weeks and expects good profit ? anyone who invested money into cat and is bitching about the current price wasn't here for the long haul they were here to make a quick buck aka pump and dump. If I had money in it I wouldn't even break a sweat but I'd work my ass off to promote cat and help it gain REAL VALUE. until then it's value is only fictional and could be .00000001 for all I care. consider this SOMEONE IS BUYING UP ALL THESE HUGE AMOUNTS OF CAT AT THE CURRENT DUMP PRICE, why would anyone do that ? a dead coin means no trade, everyone wants to sell no one wants to buy but.

THIS IS LIKE A PARAMEDIC DECLARING DEATH AFTER 2 MINUTES OF CPR ... WHAT THE FUCK ?

nope

I don't know what to believe anymore, the official net hashrate is way off and this isn't that accurate either. I doubt the difficulty will be that high at the next retarget though, it's only been like 2-3 blocks since the diff spike so the difficulty estimate is probably a lot higher than it truly would be.

I am having issues with the new wallet. It connects to sync but is not actually doing anything. it has said 'processed 20290 of 20522" for about three hours now.

Any help?

Thanks
