Hello , I was converting my betcoin points to chips then suddenly a message appeared Sorry, 5.0.202.160 has been banned. can I know why ?? is it because I was convering 7 points and repeat the process now I can't even open the site and when I open the poker client the same message appears please check it ASAP , cause I don't have access to anything in your site That's weird, but I have to ask... why just do 7 at a time and keep repeating? Why not convert all at once? Agree, did you find some exploit? ok my account is ok , I didn't contact support so maybe it was an automatic action I don't know if it's an exploit but here is the thing , when you convert your points without putting big amounts each 7 points will give you 0.11 chips that means 63 points will give you 0.99 chips , while when you conver big amonts every 66 points will give you 1 chip you can see that by converting small aounts and especially sevens you will get more chips , but I don't think it's a bug it's just simple math [X] Exploiting Bug no it's not exploiting , it's their fault when you want to convert your points a message appears and tells you the the minimum convert is 7 points and that would give you 0.11 so the bug is not in the 7 point convert , simply it's not right to give people 1 chip when they convert 66 points they should review it and they will know that 66 points should give players a little bit more than 1 chip but not 1 chip You literally just gave a story that is dead on what an exploit would be: "to use a situation so that you get benefit from it, even if it is wrong or unfair to do this" That said, it's something they definitely need to fix.

He is not exploiting anything. You are supposed to get .11 for 7 betcoins. If you exchange a larger amount you are not getting the same rate of exchange but a lesser rate. So this if anything is a reverse exploit where you get less than the stated rate unless you do it 7 betcoins at a time. Yes, it should be fixed so we get the stated rate not less if you exchange an amount larger than 7 betcoins. Next time you exchange a larger amount, say 50 betcoins, do the math, and see what rate of exchange you are getting. Maybe then you will understand that he is correct. Nice, I think it is not an exploit, it is very simple math to benefit, it is similar that how betcoin gets benefits from us, like if you deposit 1.9mbtc to your address, you will be only credited 1mbtc.

What they're doing is essentially exploiting the rounding error from 0.106 to 0.11 (as Betcoin doesn't convert in fractions) to get a ~9% bonus.

We certainly appreciate the feedback and analyzing of the program and potential bug exploits. We are reviewing all feedback.
Our great players amaze us everyday with what they are able to find and then utiilize to their favor but that only makes us stronger and we appreciate that. We have been reviewing this calculation that SyGambler referenced for awhile are were preparing to make a change when and if it became an issue. Typically, the correction is a round down scenario, but we will keep you informed.

So if you convert 66 points at once, you get 1.04 chips instead of 1.00? I don't have 66 to test that with at the moment.

You get 0.11 chips for 7 points, which is equivalent to getting (.11/7 = 0.01571 * 66 =) 1.0371 chips when turning in 66. In other words, you are getting MORE when you convert 7 at a time, by a factor of at least 3.714% (and that's assuming 66 points gave 1.00 chips. If it gives less, the difference is even larger). This is seriously basic math.

This is seriously basic math. You are too dense...its not theory, it is what is actually happening when you convert...they round down 2 places in decimal in chips when converting... If you convert and the formula should give you 10.109 chips you only get credited 10.10. Same thing when you deposit except you don't get any credit for partial chips. Instead of bringing all these theories why don't you try it and see what you get and post the results. Post the number of betcoins you converted and post how many chips you got. Just converted 7 points. New balance: 0.11 chips. So 66 points should give (0.11/7=0.01571*66=1.0371). If we round that down, as you say, that's 1.03 chips. But you said it gives less. So converting 7 at a time results in more earnings than doing a block of 66.

The conversion rate is 66points = 1 chip.
When you convert 66points you should get 1 chip.
When you convert 7 points you should get .106 chips.
Since they only use two decimal points, it gets rounded up to .11.
When you convert 7 points, you are getting more chips than you should.
Players shouldn't be punished for finding this error, but it is obviously an error.

Read the last page and a half. This is what I've been saying. wwwin, for whatever reason, wants to claim you only get 0.10 chips for 7 points, pushing this idea that I'm the one that's never converted before. It took me posting a screenshot to make him realize he has no idea what he's talking about. I'm not sure if he was just trying to pad his post count or what the hell is going on, but he clearly fails at interpretation, math, and critical thinking.

Actually I restested twice now and it's rounding up and down correctly after the upgrade and you are never going to get fractional chips beyond 2 decimal points. So for 7 chips according to my tests you should get .11 so you gain and for other amounts you may lose some fractional chips. So this balances out. There is nothing wrong with the current system. I don't think the other player was exploiting anything sometimes you win and sometime you lose and it looks as if he had already discussed this with Betcoin. He was smart about it and you were not, even when you excel at interpretation, math, and critical thinking. The system is working the way is supposed to be working because if they change it to always round it down then you are going to get short changed approximately half of the time if you randomly convert betcoins amounts.

thanks Betcoin and thank ranlo and wwin for the discussion glad to see betcoin will respond to this , cause in any cases this should be fixed and of course all of you know that I wasn't exploiting it otherwise I wouldn't publish that but since we opened the discussion let's hope that will develop Betcoin a little Betcoin should consider that big players who hold their points more should get more money if we take poker stars as example , their rakeback is based on FPP which is kind of similar to betcoin system but in PS with these points you can convert them to cash or shop and you can play free tourneys with them I can't remember the numbers exactly but let's say that 100 FPP gives you 1 dollar then 1000 FPP should give you 10 dollars but in PS the more you convert the more your reward will be son in this case 1000 FPP will give you 11 dollars for example even in there tourneys when you buy in with 2 FPP the prizepoll will be 20$ for example while playing 4FPP tourney will give you 50$ in the prize

and of course all of you know that I wasn't exploiting it
In my opinion, it's really not a big deal that you were doing it. But you were exploiting a mistake that Betcoin made, this is fact. It is a gamblers nature to find a weakness and exploit it, why are we acting as if this is some forbidden thing to do? Do we think the house doesn't exploit players with promotions, gimicks, etc to get as many deposits as possible and build a stable company? Betcoin should consider that big players who hold their points more should get more money if we take poker stars as example , their rakeback is based on FPP which is kind of similar to betcoin system but in PS with these points you can convert them to cash or shop and you can play free tourneys with them I can't remember the numbers exactly but let's say that 100 FPP gives you 1 dollar then 1000 FPP should give you 10 dollars but in PS the more you convert the more your reward will be son in this case 1000 FPP will give you 11 dollars for example even in there tourneys when you buy in with 2 FPP the prizepoll will be 20$ for example while playing 4FPP tourney will give you 50$ in the prize
Actually Betcoin VIP structure is very similiar to pokerstars, the way you are describing it is not accurate. Betcoin has Status Points and Betcoin Points. Stars has VPPs and FPPs Everyone earns VPPs/Status points at the same rate, but they are not spent - only accumulated. As you accumulate more and more VPPs/StatusPoints, you will earn FPPs/Betcoin points at a higher rate according to your VIP level. One big difference is that pokerstars VPPs(VIP level) resets every year on Jan 1st. Betcoins doesn't. Edit: I may be mixing up FPP and VPP
