What is the largest pot you've seen thus far on Seals?

Also nice activity! 400+ people on right now

These may be the top 3 pots:

PLO 856.34 BTC in Sept 2012
PLO 576.30 BTC in Aug 2012
NLHE 566.66 BTC in Jan 2013

Man, I am soooo pissed I didnt find out about Seals last summer.

So did Fitzroy retire with his #1 avatar for good to the backseat of his new lambo or is he still playing under another name?

In other news, VeganHippie finally runs like god for one whole month and now the whole site hates him. Epic chat trolling.

Does the 'change font' option work in the browser?

I've changed it a few times (and it says that it will take effect next time the site opens), but it doesn't seem to be working.

I also have 'ghostery' and 'better privacy' enabled in firefox, maybe they need to be disabled?

Just lost 3500 chips from almost back to back hands. I had three of a kind both times but the other two guys ended up getting straights. My last 200 chips I was playing with on a lower table I went all in with A-6 two pair on the flop, other guy called with A-J and then got a J on the river. Damn I got bad luck...

A lot of hands are "like" other hands and if you are playing even a few tables you'll notice a lot of cases of matching and partial matching, it is to be expected. But if you get exactly 4c6d (in order) even 4 times out of 4, that's pretty far out there.

1 in (52x51)^4 ~= 1 in 4.946455187×10¹³

But given enough chances it will happen.

Note that's the odds of getting a hand picked in advance 4 times in a row. Getting any hand 4 times in a row is  a more reasonable 1 in 18,651,791,808.

There was an instance in New Zealand where 4 players were dealt a royal flush each.
The deck was shuffled and they played the next hand, again 4 royal flushes.

Rare as hell to occur, I'll see if I can find the link.

that's not possible. only one player can have a royal flush.

I have a bitcoin address that anyone can send BTC too, so I'm going to post it
on my sig because I think someone is going to randomly give me their BTC:

Don't forget, the BIG BTC is popping off today at 3pm Server time like it does every Sunday!

The biggest bitcoin poker tournament each week only happens at SealsWithClubs.

I'll be there, why not join me for the 950+50 with the shot at over 14 coins!  The BIG BTC is now big enough that I personally sweat this tournament, I almost never miss it, and I feel heartbroken when I fall short (I have won it twice)

but enough about me - don't you want the glory?  the coins?  the hoards of women that come with such a crypto-currency come-up?

Enter the "BIG BTC" NOW!

Yo micon, what system do you use for raking ?
And could you please ask seals to add wait for BB option after I sitout and want to hop back into game ? Its pretty irritating doing it manually.

Thanks !

We rake .01 per .4 chips, so 2.5% rounded down. There is a 10 chip (that's 0.01 BTC) rake cap site wide with lower limits at some games and 50% rakeback for 2 and 3 handed play at 6 and 9 max games.

Unfortunately "Wait for BB" is surprisingly hard to work into our system, but we do want it and will have it eventually.

If you get dealt and rake is taken from the pot then you get krill. Currently at least 1 whole krill, but the system will be redone soon and award fractional krill so we can offer lower games without distorting the krill system too badly.

A quick update from a Seal Team 6 meeting last night:

Server side improvements continue.  The boys tested a new piece of complex code that does some important shit.  It was cool, I got to play it for a while.  Yes, when ST6 congregates I'm like the child that runs into the movie and doesn't understand and has to ask the adults.  The adults don't tell me much, and I like it that way.  blissfully ignorant, playing with their amazing new toys.

Note that massive multi-human efforts continue where you cannot see.  ST6 is busting hump for the players.  We want new games, massive tourneys, a huge super-site for all to fire on - and the new-new is being actively worked on.

Thanks again for the outpouring of support, and while it will still likely be months before our players get that "ah-ha" Oprah moment, note that we are working hard towards that, and after you get that 1st ah-ha, the months following that will make your jaw hit the ground.

Gonna come at 'em hard this time.

If I enter into a krill free-roll does that take the krill away, and I have to re-gain it back? I have about 2,500 right now and I keep missing the tournament as it's pretty early in the morning my time.

No, if you play freeroll, krills do not decrease.
