I have distributed my stakes between 100k and 200k amounts and 16 addresses in total in the wallet in the hope that none will get to old for stake and I have also kept wallet open 24/7 to test this, but still I have to resend every couple days as some get to old to stake. How can I fix this problem?

How do you know the addresses are 'too old to stake'? I think you are just bit impatient.

If you check the chart "Stake Input Size for the last 1000 blocks" at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/#!extraction you could see most blocks were generated by input sizes between 50 000 - 2 500 000. Therefore 100k - 200k sizes sound completely sane and should work well.

I made sure wallet is version 2.0.4.0 which is right.  [In OP it says 2.0.2]

I resend after 7/8k confirmations which is round about 7/8 days. Is that long enough or too long a wait? Does having multiple addresses in wallet actually effect staking results? I would like an optimum setup.

thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it.

EDIT: kiklo's solution sounds the least trouble. I alreay started to consolidate back to one big block and one address - everything above 2k confirmations pooled now.

What matters is size of each transaction not number of addresses. An example:

A. there is just 1 address with 100 transactions coming into it. size of each transaction is 10 000 NOBLE.
B. there is 5 addresses with 1 transaction of size 200 000 coming into each address.

In both cases total amount of money is same and equals 1 000 000. However number of transactions which wallet tries to stake varies a lot. In first example there is 100 transactions of size 10 000. In second example there is just 5 transactions and each transaction is 20 times bigger than in example A. This means second wallet is much more likely to mint money before wallet A. The worst scenario is wallet B will not be able to mint anything.

Also make sure to check our help page for staking: https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki

Very important thing is to have clock properly setup: check point 6 in 'Tips related to staking'

Hello fellow noble peeps.

On the bounty page there is a request for a wallet help page so I have created a help page for noble here http://cryptoprospectors.com/help/noble-wallet-help.html.

Community feedback would be great as well as explanations for all wallet CLI commands.
Can I get this added to the front page and to the gethub help area, just want it out there for new Noble holders. Thanks   Fish

At last I finally resolved my issue. I must admit I was totally baffled by the strangeness of my staking situation. The issue was a reservebalance of 1.5mil in the conf file and I have no cooking clue how that got there. Cleared that out and now smooth staking for me from now on.  Smiley

Eagerly awaiting further progress with this coin. Is the reward size ever going to change or is it just set from hence forth?

So to answer your question the size of the reward changes every time you get one. sometimes its low like 25 noble, most of the time its around 100 or more and sometimes it can be as high as 1000 or more.  With the current promotion setup we see 1000 several times a day. So if you are asking if one day you will come here and the reward will be 25k I doubt it, we are low inflation types most of us want a lower supply. Anyway welcome to the Noble community.  Fish

I have 452,018 Noblecoins in my v1.0.0 wallet. I am showing 0 active connections for that network. Are there any active nodes for the old wallet?

I have downloaded the v2.0.4.0 wallet and am currently synchronizing this with the network.

Is there anyway for the new wallet to use my old wallet address? Or is their any other way to get the noblecoins from my old wallet to my new wallet?

Please keep in mind that I am very much a novice at cryptocoins so please be as thorough as possible with any answers.

Thank you for your assistance.

As this was the first coin I ever really gotten involved in, and it made me rise through the ranks in bitcointalk I wanted to show my new half purple circle here!

Not sure how many oldtimers are still around, but I've seen some familiar faces. I'm still holding my nobl, not parting with it anytime soon.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Ok so I learned that if I have a android wallet built for noble it will not stake. Reason is it is possible to code it and make it work but it uses too many resources and causes to phone to be hot and drain battery life. So with that being said does anyone see any reason to build a android wallet at this time? Will it help us in any way IDK I'm asking you guys. Also I wonder if my idea of having a real staking Android wallet will be something that can take place in the future. we all know cpus and phones get faster every year I wonder if this is something that could take place maybe a year or even two down the road? What you guys think?   Fish

I do not think this makes sense right now. Unless someone does not own computer and wants to stake on his/her phone. However such a phone will most likely need to be plugged into the mains.

Actually Eagles, I think it still has merit, What if I want to try and convince my local shop owner to accept noble, well we are hardly the cutting edge without a mobile wallet, it doesn't need to stake by any means, but mobile transactions breathes new life to where there was none, hell I'd like to accept noble for my work, but alas it too complicated to get people involved even with offering 10% discounts etc cause they fear the PC wallet and the ability to loose it, so here is a couple of ideas

A  mobile wallet with a single button to backup wallet to your SD card or cloud storage, encrypted there is no reason your wallet.dats cannot be stored on a cloud like google drive etc

Make it as easy to use for personal transactions as possible, maybe an interface to create a payment request and send to email / or display a QR code the payee can scan from email or direct from Phone screen or recipient

Lastly I say this to everyone, mass adoption is key to any coins success, BTC isn't successful from buzz it's successful because you can uses it, Buy and sell with it world wide and it's accepted in 100s of places, the Grandma factor I will call this, the likelihood your grandma can use the wallet, because lets face it, until grandma can use it, it's just guys like us using it and that is in the big scheme of things a tiny pool of people buying and selling coins

Also the Raspberry PI offer above....  well OK cash has a wallet for it and stakes very well at 7 watts of power, I think we could ALL use that break in costs esp now with the price of all Crypto being so low, Keeping my 300 watt Laptop or 1kw PC on 24/7 to stake noble is just not worth it right now in the cost of power vs.. coins ...  I still hold all my noble, never dropped a dime, however, I do not stake because 300 watts 24/7 is too much to pay

ok thats my input. I'll leave you back to your good work.
