Bots increase transaction volume, which is never bad for a coin. Bots cannot sell only to push price down. The need to buy as well. With historical lows like now, they must have bought in higer in order to sell now. Third thing: coordinated pump as a long term price encreasing tool? Seriously, chill. I have no clue where you get your ideas from. Price of vert will increase when demand exceeds supply. Currently supply is high, and the current block halving is not competitive with other coins imho (just my personal opinion - too high inflation). This demand increase can be caused by multiple things, including changing the fundamental features of the coin, connecting unique services, sudden rush for no reason (this is temp), etc.

Bots are only as good as the money their controller has. I find it ridiculous for someone to say prices are decided by the bots. Vtc is tanking simply because 1. It doesnt have anon feature YET 2. Miners like x11 for being 10 degrees cooler and 50% saving power bills. Plus mining new x11 x13 coins are consistently more profitable than vtc even without the 50% saving in power bills. 3. Some ASIC scrypt jokers who are losing sales to zeus and innosilicon are doing desperate marketting selling their gear as "scrypt n" ASIC. 4. Lack of positive sentiments towards crypto in general. Those who think that cryptsy bots owners are the only group who has money should read forbes more to expand their horizons

For miners with GPUs that are optimized for X (750 TI), probably. I run R9 290s and would mine equivalently to a 280. With my total merged mining profit, I make more with VTC. 3. Some ASIC scrypt jokers who are losing sales to zeus and innosilicon are doing desperate marketting buy selling their gear as "scrypt n" ASIC. I would love to see a batch getting actually get released. After then being the first to successfully ward off ASICs would be great. Well, maybe not for the suckers who actually buy any while hoping to mine VTC.

Looks like it. I suggested long back to implement a smoother reward decreasing to help this.

Cryptsy has been down for the past 3 days with all VTC withdrawls. They say it will be back up by Monday. That means, for the past 3 days, anyone wanting to withdraw VTC was required to sell it for BTC & LTC and go from there. By Monday I would not be surprised to see a nice jump in price.
As for anyone saying the Devs left... they just literally announced details on stealth not long ago. If they sat here answering questions and doing PR, new features would never get released. If you are truly here as a long-term investment, then you will go collaborate and spread the word. Members are constantly discussing advertisements and PR related stuff at www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin

If zuckeberg listened to eduardo saverin back then and focus on selling ads to make quick bucks facebook wont be the billion dollar company it is now. The way i see it every crypto-alts out there is fighting for survival that includes even btc which is constantly battling hostile banks and countries. Vtc is in worse position every steps the devs made has to be calculated launching was the easy part fighting it to the top is tricky. Devs simply can't just listen to your supposedly "billion dollar" idea and implement it straight away.

i don't have a billion dollar idea, but the market is leaving VTC alone. While coins evolve VTC is silent and only accepting the natural force. They are not coming up with innovations, they simply try to repeat what other already have done. When i am talking about PR they have to convince investors Why scrypt-n is still up to date and why they don't switch to X11 (for example) many miner complain that vtc is not profitable to mine! I am tired of hearing "the dev is working and there is no time sitting in the forum all the day". Guys are you naive? It is not much work keeping up a solid PR every 2-3 weeks, instead they barely communicate anything.

@Jiggy - I agree a more open dialog would be ideal regarding the future implementations to VTC I don't think the Dev's should be camping on the boards waiting to hold people's hands every time there is a dip in price.
I haven't caught up on the thread completely so I don't know if this changed but a while back Boris stated that a PR guy was in the works.
An even longer time ago we spoke of an idea of a weekly or every two week update on VTC from the Devs. While again this takes valuable time away from their lives, and the development of VTC, I feel it would be a good way to reach the masses.
At the end of the day I would rather have productive dev's working on improving the coin over ones that communicate on a regular basis. That being said I would really like to have both.

Yup, just look at the price..."We're not concerned with the price" Then who will secure the blockchain if it's not profitable to mine? Jus' sayin'...

this statement is simply stupid and NOT professional:
The fact is, people don’t care about anonymity – if they did, they wouldn’t use social media etc.
