Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Which may be misdirection. Which language do they support better, Russian or Bulgarian? Anyone geolocated their servers?

So today I learned that BTC-e forced the use of email confirmations for all withdraws now. I have heard the nightmares of dozens of people being stuck without their funds because of the mail server problems with btc-e, so I chose not to enable it so that I would not be stuck in the same position. Now without my permission they have enabled this feature, and low and behold their email confirmation for withdraws are not going thru to my email (even tho the email reply from support@btc-e.com replied just fine). I opened 2 tickets, but because the ticket system ALSO WILL NOT SEND EMAIL CONFIRMATIONS, I can not check or reply to these tickets. This is unacceptable. I didn't ask for this, you forced it upon me. Allow me to access my funds immediately.

This was a nightmare even when they did not force people to do so.
It took them 3 days until they asked me for a GMail after sending the same screenshots over and over.
I can only imagine what is going on now...

I still haven't heard anything from support about my 150 namecoins that never showed up in my account a couple months ago. Sent them to the address given in my finance section and blockexplorer showed it as confirmed. Nothing in my account.

Two quick questions:

- Will you add options to trade between other crytocurrencies and fiat or other currencies than BTC? Ex: USD/CNC, NVC/LTC, etc...
- Are you planning a Streaming API? I know it's really hard to develop and maintain, but you would reduce a lot of getFullDepth calls and enable autotraders to do a better arbitraging job.

The best thing to do is transfer your coins to another exchange like Campbx when you are ready to sell. The price is usually higher as well. Good luck to you!

I can't transfer it anywhere until they fix this.

EDIT:
I was alerted to the fact that many email servers filter BTC-e emails as spam, and that white listing btc-e.com would solve the issue. I would like to thank Simplyfun for taking the time to clarify this for me. My funds are accessible again.

I  am a customer of BTC-E since 2011. Now they added mandatory e-mail confirmation to transfer your funds from BTC-E, but i lost access to my e-mail and submitted a ticked asking to change it. I provided all the information they required - old e-mail address, IP's, payment history. Three working days and it's still not done. I'm not even notified that they are fixing this. All these years and when i really needed help BTC-E let me down.

I've now been waiting for 7 days for a resolution to my support ticket. My last response was 5 days ago. I had originally hoped to do a quick LTC conversion to BTC and get my funds out the same day. Now it looks like I am going to become one of those six month horror stories.

Come on BTC-E, are you really that busy? Your support and admin are online, why don't you handle my ticket please? This isn't an acceptable wait.

Well, it's been more than 12 hrs, and my FTC deposit still hasn't appeared, even after 71 confirmations. No response to my support ticket. WTF is going on over there?

For those waiting for FTC deposits, are the deposits actually showing in BTC-E as unconfirmed? I sent a deposit over 12 hours ago and BTC-E hasn't acknowledged it at all (block 33783).

Finally came through 18 hours later..
