Seems this recent N-factor made Ultracoin much more difficult to mine for many people. (especially the RAM requirement) Heavycoin is very 750 Ti friendly last time I checked. You can get around 12-13Mh/s. Worth checking out for you maybe. With Cudaminer? My notebook 660M gives me now only 7Kh/s with cudaminer. With ccminer @ http://hvc.1gh.com/But yeah, no more HVC talk here.

@jakiman,
your settings should work on 280 dualx, right? thanks
I have a rig with 4 r9 280x, with yacminer 3.5.0 the monitor(16x pci card) card does not start, all other cards run at 55kh/s with no errors. I put the widows7 visual effects to minimum but it did not help. Any idea is appreciated Same here. I also have 4x 280x dual-x. Best I could get out of it, was 47 kh/s and 40 WU per card with no HW. And I tried with 12 GB ram..

too many words to read! what's the key point?
UPDATE SUMMARY1. Bumface's real name is Michael. See his photo & rest of UTC team here: http://ultracoin.net/aboututc.html2. Michael met many new people and started building bridges with some powerful people. This will continue. 3. New portal is already in the works that will allow easy arbitration between exchanges using Ultracoin & Minecraft plug-in for in-game purchases planned. 4. Upcoming fork to lower block reward from 50 to 20 & extend the N factor change schedule to allow longer GPU mining support. 5. New much needed wallet update will come allowing more flexible POS, some client enhancements and bug fixes. 6. UTC Team events / work may be funded by participating pools via share of fees & of course your generous donations. 7. Youtube video uploaded. Michael is second from the left. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qMOcFzF2c4Full update from Michael = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=413978.msg6106349#msg6106349Ok where did John get that picture from? we all know, the males in crypto are ugly nerds. That's why I haven't put up my photo yet.

Running R9 270X, R9270XD52GXOCV2, config as follows for anyone having issues, Yes, Khs is much lower, I am still mining the SAME AMOUNT of coins at higher N-factor
ultracoinminer --scrypt-jane -I 12 --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --lookup-gap 3 --sj-time 1388361600 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-memclock 1500 --no-submit-stale
Giving me 32khs per card without any issues

Thanks for this quick tutorial jakiman. Buffer size did not work on my main card, so I had to lower it to 2432 though. Some utc love coming your way!
Actually I had a hunch that if it is my main card, it is probably out of memory, due to some visual stuff. I tuned down all the visual things in windows 7 and 2560 is now a go!
Woohoo. I'm glad you got it sorted and also glad I was of some help. Thank you for the UTC! You were the first and only one to tip me for it... It was nice to see you understood how it all goes together and that someone's finally gotten a tip by explaining it For anyone who wants the full knitty-gritty that Jakiman's summarized, the full documentation and explanation can be found here https://github.com/Thirtybird/YACMiner/blob/master/SCRYPT-README starting around line 56.

I am mining at: https://utc.pool.pm/index.php?page=statistics&action=poolMy average kh/s is around 475kh/s... It says I can roughly get around anywhere between 350 - 400 UTC a day... I have been mining there for around 16 hours and I have only got 55 UTC? Why is the predicted earnings never right for UTC?

I found good devs to do the wallet updates, and this is the timeline :
Stage 1- Update checkpoint and kernel fixes, check client 24-48hrs
Stage 2- Coin control, possible checkpoint server and investigate leveldb. approx 1-2 weeks
Stage 3- Various POS issues patched before implementationStage + wallet upgrade. approx 1-2 weeks after stage 2.
Also a sneaky peaky on the card setting generator.....you ask, we build.

@ Bumface AKA Micheal..... I am proud of you... Finally you get the whole picture about marketing "our coin" ...and next to this towards you, I as a fellow Dutchman, as a serious big UTC Miner since day one, as a UTC Bag Holder (still did didn't sell one of my +220K of UTC coins) and as a real UTC Believer, I feel very good what the UTC community pull's together. Again and again... Keep up the good work as our UTC Captain. Our " Captain America" If I can be of any sort of help pm me and maybe I can....
