Can we get some Ultracoin mention on the BTC-e trollbox.  Every time I do, I don't have much support and get the typical "dev premined shitcoin" response.  Where are all the other supporters?

Maybe totally coincidental, but the last two time I mentioned UTC on BTC-e, the price jumped a few percent within 30-40 minutes.  The forum is full of uplifting and reassuring followers who "know" UTC is a Gem.  Can we let the rest of the world know?

The traders are already on the exchanges.  Use the troll box.  Youtube is a cool idea, but lets think demographics and target audience here.  People don't go to Youtube for Ultracoin, or Facebook, etc.  They are on the exchanges.  And maybe, sometimes, they might Google it and come across this forum.  So lets keep the traffic on target and grow our support base.

I never go on BTC-E I only go there to run up a cash balance in USD when I dont feel like cashing out atm, I use that place as you would use free parking on a monopoly board lol

If they listed utc.... i would be there all the time.

I dont get how they list shit coins like Feathercoin, but not UTC.

Perhaps you don't.  It was an example, used in this case because many others do.  But you just do login there.  And when you do, I doubt you refrain from glancing at the trollbox.  It is a simple matter of marketing.  People are going off of community support over practicality.  We have practicality locked in, it is the support we need to worry about most.  And I guess the bottom line is that we need to start with those who are actively seeking undervalued coins with potential.

I've released a beta version of the UTC charts at http://utccharts.com. I'm also creating a thread on the forum (http://forum.ultracoin.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=559) for discussion, bugs, suggestions, etc. Please feel free to send me your thoughts! I may not implement everything asked for, but will consider everything. Here's another screenshot of the "compare exchanges" chart. I like this one.

The trollbox is just filled with people spamming LTC to the moon LTC buy LTC Sell .
Everyone on there is on crack waiting for Ltc to sneeze, pretty boring troll box, its pretty much a troll box for Litecoin at this point.
But i get your point, people in that troll box have one goal. . .  to get people to over-pay for litecoin.

I mentioned UTC once in there, think the admin banned me from the troll box for 60m because I said I wished BTC was as fast as UTC or something.

+1

That strategy is sound and effective. There are lots of new traders who get over half their coin news from the various trollboxes, not just BTC-e, but others as well such as poloniex and mcxnow. Cost is cheap, and it targets your market's demographic directly. Gotta have both though, still need some Youtube/Facebook/Twitter because not all people think alike or not all get their news from same places. Casting a bigger or multiple nets is better.

No its not minable but its still cheap compared to UTC.  Its PoW stage has passed and its now pure PoS. So if you got coins in your wallet youre staking youre earning money as UTC does.

I got in v low and its just gone up and up. It has investment written on it.

Theres a new Dev team on the Multipool that was bequeathed to the community which has had a very positive impact.

Its looking good. Good community and a positive vibe.

Im waiting to see if they can use the power they have to the benefit of other coins say UTC for example

Ok ty guys , im now on http://utc.greekpool.eu/ , with 150 khs ( my 2 Nvidia gtx 750ti ) im make 27 UTC day , its good or bad ? .

Sounds nice! How are you getting such a high hashrate from the 750tis? I'm pulling about 50kh. What settings are you using? -l T5x24 -m 1 -H 2 -L 2 here.

My setup for 64KHs with a Gigabyte GTX750 Ti OC:

Only just started mining, but will drop you something when I get a payout Smiley

Sending a few coins your way for the trouble, not much but still wanted to say thanks!

Coins received, thank you very much.
Its not the amount that counts, but the attitude.

Regards... Wink

......

R9 290 4GB/6GB RAM (1040/1400) ~140khs

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
ultracoinminer -o stratum+tcp://ultra.nitro.org:3337 -u xxx -p xxx --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600  -w 64 -g 1 -I 18 --thread-concurrency 42000 --no-submit-stale --lookup-gap 3 --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0

My r9 290 dies more or less 5 hours after launch with these settings. It runs smoothly at 140kh/s and then suddenly dies.
Any suggest? Thanks in advance

Use cgwatcher, and let it restart your miner every 3 hours or so. I restart every 4 hours and have no problems.
For some reason I can't get CGwatcher to play nice with UTC. When I start the miner with the bat file and let CGW monitor it everything is fine. If I try to start the miner with CGW it completely ignores the conf file settings and starts throwing out HW errors. If I manually try to start the miner by double clicking the miner exe I get the same problem. It's like there's something corrupted in the exe file. Same problem on all 4 miners. CGW works fine with every other coin I've mined. I have no idea what the problem is when using it to mine UTC. Any suggestions?

Why should I buy Ultracoin? What's the difference to Vertcoin?
