I feel mining UTC has became somewhat of a joke. I mined with 470+ KH/s for 26 hours and I ended up with 78 UTC! Might as well mine something else then convert it to UTC

That is actually a VERY good idea for those right now who are in pools with lots of orphans.
It will actually drive buying pressure also by those who wants more Ultracoin in their wallets.

Someone is buying up a lot of cheap UTC right now at MintPal and driving up the price.
Over 5 BTC was added to the buy order side also at good amounts. Someone is smart.

About 120-150 coins per day at current difficulty.

Can you guys help me? This coin mining settings is killing me!  Huh
I have 3X 290. I only can mine on I-12 any higher intensity gives me errors. Tried all possible TC, does not change anything. Tried ultracoinminer and cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.03 but no luck.
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://utc.greekpool.eu:3337 -u hermantas.xfx290 -p x --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -I 12 -g 1 --lookup-gap 2 --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --thread-concurrency 32765 --gpu-engine 950 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-powertune 20 --no-adl

1. I never user GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS. It seems to limit the speed of the cards to about 85% of full speed in certain scenarios.
So get rid of it and also delete it from the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment). You will need to reboot for it to take effect.

2. Use YACMiner. It allows finer control of numbers of threads (intensity) compared to standard cgminer/ultra-miner.
https://github.com/Thirtybird/YACMiner/releases

3. Then using YACMiner, try this setting. My friend gets 71Kh/s with his pair of 290 cards @ 1040Mhz. About 63-65 WU each.
You will need 8GB RAM on the PC. If you don't, you won't be able to use such large buffer size most likely.

Quote
yacminer.exe --scrypt-chacha -o <pool> -u <id.worker> -p <password> -R 10240 -g 1 -w 128 --buffer-size 3624 --lookup-gap 3 --temp-cutoff 90 --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600

FYI - I wrote a little guide on how to figure out the right values for your cards with YACMiner:

Again and again...

Keep up the good work as our UTC Captain.

PaulR1: that is an amazing offer!  Cheesy

dcgirl and xwebnetwork offerd 0.5 btc per person, but i just cant make them do that, as they are already doing so much....

Yes you are right, 0,5 BTC is maybe to much asking for hard working community members like dcgirl and xwebnetwork.

But maybe they are willing to donate 0.1 BTC    Grin

@ Bumface aka Micheal.... please add here the BTC address for donating for the UTC Dev's....

Then I will try to start for the third time to get our community to donate...

UTC adress : UV65rd1p2D5TcAihXm4vdSWy89tTLajoEf

http://bitgo.pw:3731/address/UV65rd1p2D5TcAihXm4vdSWy89tTLajoEf

BTC adress : 1H8rUGC3KMv7XnkJddD7XJRJQMDqmex7He

https://blockchain.info/address/1H8rUGC3KMv7XnkJddD7XJRJQMDqmex7He

yes those adresses are correct, the target this time is 2 btc for the payment of the new devs

I am putting 20k utc on top of this per agreement with the new devs

Dear UTC Community Members:  Miners, Bag Holders, Believers and Supporters.

We need our UTC coin to grow more and more.... and get awareness all around

Bumface have good plan's for the very near future.

The Dev team needs at least 2 BTC to make things happen on short term.

I am willing to donate 0,5 BTC myself if at least 10 more UTC community members are willing to donate each at least 0,1 BTC.

If 20 UTC members are willing to donate at least each 0,1 BTC then I will donate myself 1,0 BTC.....

So guy's and girl's ... what we going to do to help our coin more in realizing a uptrend Huh[/i]

Put me down for 0,10 BTC greets Fabietech

COME ON GUY's AND GIRLS.... PLEASE DONATE SMALL OR BIG FOR THE DEV TEAM.... AND FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR COIN

+ 1

I am willing to donate also 0,10 BTC .
So count me in please.

Don't ask what our coin can do for us (yet), but ask what we can do for our coin !

I just donate and send my first 0,5 BTC....

Common fellow community members...maybe your turn now Huh

I love this coin. I designed a custom Physical Coin ( not finished yet ) , and also some Laser Engraved UTC Keychains!

The key chains finally came today!

I am listing them on a site I recently made as well!

I have it setup so I can manually take UTC payment ( can also take automated BTC, and LTC payments ), so test it out and let me know how it works!

http://www.cryptomemorabilia.com/

Any questions, send me a PM or email!

-Brian Gleason

Really nice, might get 1 or 2 of them at some point

Thanks!

I feel like giving 2 of these away!

For the next 24 hours, anyone who quotes my original keychain announcement above with the picture and website link, I will enter in a drawing. I will randomly pick 2 people out of everyone who quotes my message to help get the word out!

SxC, consider yourself entered already !

-Brian
Me gusta  Grin

I wanted to update you,  that both sXc and noobyonekenobi are getting Free keychains from the give-away!

I have these currently available, and I also have a physical UTC coin being minted that should be done very soon! Stay tuned for that!

I will also help contributed by donating $1 for each UTC item sold ( keychain, and coin once its ready ) towards the dev team!

** I've just tipped you!  Grin

This is pretty awesome. I actually like to encourage EVERYONE to use the official_utc subreddit more often now.
If I see anything that's helpful, uber funny etc, I'll tip you. Everyone can do the same. Start tipping each other!
It even gives an incentive for people to be more active & helpful. WIN:WIN right there.

How to get started! Contribute & get tipped in UTC!

1. Create a reddit account if you don't already have one.
http://www.reddit.com/

2. Use following link and just hit send to register:
http://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=ultracoin_tip&subject=register&message=%2Bregister

3. Check your wallet address & balance by sending the following message then later checking your inbox:
http://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=ultracoin_tip&subject=info&message=%2Binfo

4. Deposit some UTC to your tip bot wallet address from the info you received.

5. Start tipping someone by writing a comment to a post/reply with:
+/u/ultracoin_tip <amount> utc (where <amount> is the amount of utc you wish to tip)
e.g. +/u/ultracoin_tip 100 utc

What is the official word on resolution to this orphan problem?  I know stuhleman said something about a resolution within a week, but this is ridiculous.  Even nitro2 is at 28% orphans the last 24 hours.  Greekpool is at 26%.

You are effectively giving 75% of the miners a susbsidy right now and telling every new miner to go fuck himself as bonuses are for the old guard.

utc.pool.pm has much lower orphan rate AFAIK.
0% in the last 24 hours and only 6% over last 7 days.
https://utc.pool.pm/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

But yeah, something drastic needs to be done.
Hopefully we'll see something by next week.
