What is the official word on resolution to this orphan problem?  I know stuhleman said something about a resolution within a week, but this is ridiculous.  Even nitro2 is at 28% orphans the last 24 hours.  Greekpool is at 26%.

You are effectively giving 75% of the miners a susbsidy right now and telling every new miner to go fuck himself as bonuses are for the old guard.

The fix for this problem lays with the introduction of Level DB and other fixes into the client. I been working with Bumface behind the scenes to get the client fixed. When the update on the client comes we are removing any advantage that Nitro has over other pools, this advantage only exists because we could not sustain any growth with the coma bug. I am sure by now some of you have experienced a 10 to 15 minutes client slow slow start because of the bug, but I want you to consider that multiplied by 1000. When the fix is ready we will take severe measures to disallow the skewed hashrate at Nitro. I will be happy to have 30% of the total hash. I was hoping this will be done within a week time, but according to what Michael posted it might take three weeks. But now that things are in the open and there is a working strategy, we just need a little patience. I promise that as soon as this is fixed and all pools are updated and able to handle the traffic without any problems, I will start immediate action to resize Nitro even if it angers the miners, as this will be their responsibility for the community as well.

I love this coin. I designed a custom Physical Coin ( not finished yet ) , and also some Laser Engraved UTC Keychains!

The key chains finally came today!

I am listing them on a site I recently made as well!

I have it setup so I can manually take UTC payment ( can also take automated BTC, and LTC payments ), so test it out and let me know how it works!

http://www.cryptomemorabilia.com/

Any questions, send me a PM or email!

-Brian Gleason

Really nice, might get 1 or 2 of them at some point

Thanks!

I feel like giving 2 of these away!

For the next 24 hours, anyone who quotes my original keychain announcement above with the picture and website link, I will enter in a drawing. I will randomly pick 2 people out of everyone who quotes my message to help get the word out!

SxC, consider yourself entered already !

-Brian
Me gusta  Grin

I wanted to update you,  that both sXc and noobyonekenobi are getting Free keychains from the give-away!

I have these currently available, and I also have a physical UTC coin being minted that should be done very soon! Stay tuned for that!

I will also help contributed by donating $1 for each UTC item sold ( keychain, and coin once its ready ) towards the dev team!

-Brian Gleason

Thanks alot cant wait to get it

When UTC price gets back to normal i will be buying a few of these for family and friends

I would love to have one that doesn't require a weird port # also as my work blocks it.
We could definitely do with at least 1 more block explorer as bitgo.pw goes down often.

utc.pool.pm has much lower orphan rate AFAIK.
0% in the last 24 hours and only 6% over last 7 days.
https://utc.pool.pm/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

But yeah, something drastic needs to be done.
Hopefully we'll see something by next week.

Wow almost 7.5 hours and still no blocks found! Something is wrong @pool.mn

I would agree with this, however, at LG=3 I would switch -R 10240 for -X 32 - everything else looks fine to me.

PaulR1: that is an amazing offer!  Cheesy

dcgirl and xwebnetwork offerd 0.5 btc per person, but i just cant make them do that, as they are already doing so much....

Yes you are right, 0,5 BTC is maybe to much asking for hard working community members like dcgirl and xwebnetwork.

But maybe they are willing to donate 0.1 BTC    Grin

@ Bumface AKA Micheal.....

I am proud of you...  Wink Grin

Finally you get the whole picture about marketing "our coin" ...and next to this as a fellow Dutchman, as a serious big UTC Miner since day one, as  UTC Bag Holder (still did didn't sell one of my +220K of UTC coins) and as a UTC Believer I feel good what the UTC community pull's together. Again and again...

Keep up the good work as our UTC Captain.
Our "Captain America" Tongue

If I can be of any sort of help pm me and maybe I can....

well

we still need some btc to pay these devs  Shocked

Well Micheal..

> We did that as community once: pay together to get on Mintpal

> We did that as community twice: pay together to get on Cryptsy

I started twice that action and many UTC community members followed and donated big.

>> We can start that action of donating again !!!!!

@ Bumface aka Micheal.... please add here the BTC address for donating for the UTC Dev's....

Then I will try to start for the third time to get our community to donate...

UTC adress : UV65rd1p2D5TcAihXm4vdSWy89tTLajoEf

http://bitgo.pw:3731/address/UV65rd1p2D5TcAihXm4vdSWy89tTLajoEf

Dear UTC Community Members:  Miners, Bag Holders, Believers and Supporters.

We need our UTC coin to grow more and more.... and get awareness all around

Bumface have good plan's for the very near future.

The Dev team needs at least 2 BTC to make things happen on short term.

I am willing to donate 0,5 BTC myself if at least 10 more UTC community members are willing to donate each at least 0,1 BTC.

If 20 UTC members are willing to donate at least each 0,1 BTC then I will donate myself 1,0 BTC.....

So guy's and girl's ... what we going to do to help our coin more in realizing a uptrend Huh[/i]

Put me down for 0,10 BTC greets Fabietech

COME ON GUY's AND GIRLS.... PLEASE DONATE SMALL OR BIG FOR THE DEV TEAM.... AND FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR COIN

+ 1

I am willing to donate also 0,10 BTC .
So count me in please.

Don't ask what our coin can do for us (yet), but ask what we can do for our coin !

I just donate and send my first 0,5 BTC....

Common fellow community members...maybe your turn now Huh

"..........."

well said, all the wheels are in motion now. The new devs have already started coding yesterday.

But we are still short 1,4 btc guys, Paulgr and I are both putting 10k utc on it for the 20k utc that was part of deal....

So if UTC made you a nice profit in the past please donate some btc to 1H8rUGC3KMv7XnkJddD7XJRJQMDqmex7He

@plant you get HW errors.

I am a bit sleepy but I think you have 4x290s?

--scrypt-chacha -R 10240 -g 1 -w 128 --buffer-size 3456 --lookup-gap 3 --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600

I Have 4 x R9-290 Sapphire

I would agree with this, however, at LG=3 I would switch -R 10240 for -X 32 - everything else looks fine to me.

I have 3x 290x and 1x 290 in my rig with 8 GB of RAM.  I cannot run with LG=3.  I have to run it at LG=4 and a buffer size of 26xx or I get the dreaded "Error 4 - Cannot Enqueue...".

I only get about 58 KH/s out of each card in this setup.  Just an FYI for others with 4x 290 issues.
