I think UTC need change FULL POS like CAIx.
My team and I still hold about 500k UTC.
Before 500k UTC ~ 100-150BTC, Now 500k UTC ~ 25 BTC.
Down and down... So sad...
If UTC want to PUMP price, we need CHANGE.

Well as far as I know their are only 3 scrypt chacha coins - correct me if I'm wrong. There are quite a lot more X11's. If I wanted to design a new ASIC to mine a so called ASIC proof algorithm, of the 2 choices above, which would I pick, the algorithm with the least amount of coins implementing its use or the one with the most amount. And don't fear Nf13 or Nf14 Just look at YaCoin. It's on Nf 14 currently. Looks at it's mining profitibility. http://www.whattomine.com/ |

If you currently look at other coins with similar total coin supplies, you will see that UTC is right in line with them.
Do I think UTC is undervalued, of course, especially because our Dev's are more active than any other coin that I know of. New features keep coming, eventually this will create a breakout from the norm and those skiddish investors just watching and waiting will finally buy in. Volume will rise, and boom, you have a positive domino effect.
Just be patient. It's going to happen.

Looks like minimum price for a twitter tipbot is going to be around 0.2 btc. We already have 1000 UTC bounty and I'll donate some more if the community thinks it's worth it.

Status update:
Team UTC is currently discussing changing the POS time to 3 months @ 5%,and what the effects would be.
We are also discussing the consequences of lowering the N factor,as well as the making an assessment of peoples suggestions like going full POS and lowering the total coin ammount.
I want to make it clear that no decision has been made at this time,we are simply investigating all options to make a well informed and responsible decision.
We will not make hasty decicions because the price is low,since we have a clear vision of the future and there is no reason to panic.We want the best for our community members and miners.I will say that we are quite surprised that people are selling this low,since we have one of the most dedicated teams working on innovations.

I noticed the bounty for twitter tipper bot is only 1000 UTC. How much do you think it would take to get the ball rolling?
If you can find someone that's willing to create this, let me know and we'll talk. Its on my list but a few other things are higher priority right now. I contacted UnekPL on reddit and he said he would develop one for 2000 UTC. |

Can you somehow reset the n factor and rework it so it changes every three months. These times seem more reasonable since it takes about 6 months to develop a new asic. Heck we could go with every 6 months since the n factor changes. I think that miners feel that mining with the n factor changes is inefficient. Its hard to understand if you're getting a good hashrate or not.
