For items that have instant delivery I think six confirmations is overkill.

Sellers have option to change that in settings, 6 confirmation is set a default.

As a general pointer, how many days would you wait for the seller to mark as 'shipped' before you claim refund from escrow?

Request a refund of the bitcoins in escrow. The seller is notified concerning your request and has 14 days to respond with a reason why he should receive payment regardless of your complaint.

If the seller has not read the order, all bitcoins will be refunded immediately. We will also refund orders when the seller has not set the order status to "shipped" or when we raise strong suspicion of a fraud.

Thanks. If seller has not marked as 'shipped' before this coming Monday, I'll claim refund. Should not think that would be unreasonable....

What prevents the seller from not shipping during the week?
Id say 48h max and then u should ask for a refund.
Especially when he doesnt communicate.

You're right, if he is in business nothing should prevent him for not shipping end of this week. Just left a message on the board, requesting shipment by end of this week.

That's great to know! Kind of "no harm done"-policy, although "no harm done" is not quite right if it was auction style. If I don't like the price reached, I ask my friend to outbid and cancel? Please at least add one condition like 24h for auction style.

Ah, so today you are the ""official"" Tosaki? Mind putting something into your sig or name or whatever. With services constantly changing owners it gets a bit confusing else.

We will also refund orders when the seller has not set the order status to "shipped".
I normally set the status shipped about hours after visiting the post office (and maybe meeting friends and coming home late), so I would be quite pissed if a transaction "never happened" just because I didn't set it to shipped while it was still in my hands, which is technically lying.

I send a gentle remember 2-3 days after expected delivery then request escrow release 7 days later if buyer don't manifest itself.

Its not about receiving the item but about the seller simply not setting it as shipped. Wink

So the seller may not even know that I've purchased the item? Or sent a follow up message?

Frak...  what a waste of time.

I have sent out dozens of messages after the downtime and almost nobody replied.
Email notification must be down for most.
