I have the following 2 cards
1.ASUS 280x 245 Kh/s 2.XFX 270x 165 Kh/s
with the following config
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
del *.bin vertminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://east1.us.stratum.dedicatedpool.com:3361 -u xxx.xxx -p x -I 12,12 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 4196 -g 2 --gpu-memclock 1600,1500 --gpu-engine 1100,1050 --gpu-powertune 20 --temp-target 70,70 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 30-100
what am I doing wrong? or what can i improve
Look 1 post above yours and test those 270x settings.

Hey fellow vtc miners. recently I updated my vertminer from 0.5.2 to 0.5.3. I basically deleted the 0.5.2, git cloned the 0.5.3, build it, and put the header files in AMD-ADL. in 0.5.2 I could get 360Kh/s with my Sapphire dual-x r9 280x. Now it's only 230 with the exact same settings.. My settings: ./vertminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.vtcpool.co.uk:3333 -u xxxxx -p xxx -v 1 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500 --thread-concurrency 8193 Anyone knows how to solve this?

Anyone have a good config for Sapphire Tri-X OC R9 290x ?
Latest vertminer from GitHub seems to crash with other 290x configs mentioned in this thread. System has 16 GB RAM (stock frequencies) and I have tried 2-3 different AMD drivers including
14.1 Beta 13.11 Beta 9.95 (Doesn't even recognize the cards) 13.12 Stable

I managed to get my 2x R9 280x vapor x working @ 375kh/s each
here are my settings:
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum12.dogehouse.org:9091 -u x -p x -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1076,1072 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 ---temp-cutoff 85 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-target 75 --auto-fan
, "intensity" : "13", "worksize" : "256", "lookup-gap" : "2", "auto-fan" : true, "gpu-fan" : "70-80,70-80", "gpu-engine" : "1076,1072", "gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500", "gpu-powertune" : "10,10", "thread-concurrency" : "8192", "expiry" : "30", "gpu-threads" : "2", "scan-time" : "5"
Temperatures are 59 for first and 70 degrees for the second one.
Any recomandations for some risers? I can't seem to make up my mind on what I see online.

Average of 1436kh/s and WU ~1336/m.

Can share 3 more info? 1. Pool Difficulty for the Worker 2. Reject, Hardware Error, Working Unit 3. Miner version cgminer? verminer? I notice my hashrate remains over 440kH for R290 but WU fluctuate depending on the pool difficulty for worker. When difficulty is below 32, WU is very close to 400. When the difficulty going up to 64,128 or even 256, the W.U. drop drastically to less than 380kH/s. If you have 2 GPU most likely I guess your difficulty will be maximum at 256 or more and WU propably only 70% of 375x2 = 525kH/s if you are using traditional pool.

With Sapphire R9 290x BF ed, I'm using the below to get stable 436 KH with zero hardware error. Any other setting and tons of HW errors start coming in. I think the thread concurrency did it for me. Has to be 2816*8 for this card. Don't ask me why (though I'm a computer engineer; just not very upto speed with AMD chipset). Also I run the fan at fixed speed of 75% from Trixx to keep temperature below 75C.
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 COLOR 0A
vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o <url:port> -u <user> -p <password> -I 20 --lookup-gap 2 -w 256 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500 --thread-concurrency 22528
I have the Sapphire R9 290X BF4 Ed. (53G) and I'm getting about the same hash of 440k at stock 1000/1250 (no power tune). If I try to OC @ 1100/1400, hash goes down to about 365K. This seems to be the best setting so far for mine... vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o 127.0.0.1:PORT -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 22528 -I 20 -g 1 -w 256On this PC I have an i7-4770k OC'd to 45x/39x mem @1600. No change in hash with mem @ 2133. My ASUS monitor has 2 HDMI inputs so I can go into bios, enable IGPU, and connect HDMI out of ASRock Extreme4 mobo to HDMI(2) while HDMI out of 290x is on HDMI(1). While monitor is switched to HDMI(2) I can set fan speed to 50% via TRIXX to keep temp @ 80C and experience no video lag while mining. My open case PC is using Sapphire 2x7950's and I'm getting about 530k (265K@) @ stock 925/1250 using... vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o 127.0.0.1:PORT -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 21000 -I 18 -g 1 -w 256Still playing around with settings but seems to be stable.

WU varies between 650 and 750. No HW or rejects. Pool difficulty varries. Yeah I see that ... its the same for me. You notice that the Pool difficulty is not varying but increasing. Based on your screenshot you just restarted and miner and having small shares. First the pool difficulty start with 16 and you could have very high WU even higher than hashrate. When it stabalize after few minutes to difficulty 128 and above the WU seems max out at 90% of Hashrate. Below screenshot is R9 290 Elpida. --no-submit-stale --gpu-vddc 1 --gpu-fan 100 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500 --thread-concurrency 24000 -g 1 -I 20 --worksize 512 --gpu-powertune +20 --lookup-gap 2 It seems to me modded Vertcoin-CGMinerAleks_NR3 is more stable than buggy vertminer-0.5.2. Verminer after crash cannot restart fresh like cgminer and need reboot Windows. BTW vertminer options need to change --scrypt to --scrypt-vert

As a complete mining newbie, I have some questions (this is the run window: http://imgur.com/mNZFN1I): - What is the hash rate?
- How often/random is the acquisition of coins?
- What is a node?

Hashrate is the amount of work your card is doing. Your pool should give you an estimate on how many coins/day you can expect. You don't need to worry about nodes if you're just mining. Also, you probably want to drop the intensity down a notch, as your miner is showing HW errors (HW: 53). This appears to be having a negative impact on your WU (work units), which is the actual indicator of work done - should be about 90% of hashrate, yours is less than half.
