Did something similar happen last year before the huge price rises?

Dash Continues to Provide Low Transaction Costs to Enable Everyday Dash Usage

Dash has historically maintained low transaction costs, which has allowed merchants and consumers to use Dash in everyday transactions.

Dash currently boast a median transaction fee around $0.0005 USD and has fluctuated around $0.001 USD for the past few months. The highest the Dash transaction fee ever peaked was $0.10 USD for a short period in 2017, according to bitinfocharts.com. On DashRadar, the transaction fees per byte has steadily been around 1 Duff (1 hundred millionth of a Dash) per byte, which is very low. These stats rank Dash number one among its top competitors when it comes to affordable transaction fees; Bitcoin and Ethereum currently have median transaction fees around $0.14 USD and Bitcoin Cash around $0.002 USD.

I dont think so, looking at this chart :

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/dash-transactions.html

Dash seems to have naturally increased its transactions per jan-2017 all the way till end 2017
(when the bear market came into play for Dash).

It does make me wonder if the peak of transactions on 23rd of june 2018 (when Dash reached 35K transactions) was perhaps also a stress test of sorts.

Wow, someone kicked Bitcoin in the butt and it responded by jumping to $7300
That should have been done a lot sooner  Roll Eyes

Are we (Bitcoin & Altcoins) converging from a bear market to a bull market ? Stay tuned ...
A very good time on the idea that he started growing. Apparently someone is pouring a lot of money on this market, although it is the off season.

Dash is freeze in poloniex, why?
Strange, you kind of have long been engaged in crypto-currencies, but still trading on Poloniex. I regularly see how people complain about the poor performance of the exchange.

If you can't compile wallets or pay someone to do it on launch just don't bother.

DASH coin is a good technology and popular project. The future development is worth looking forward to. Long term holding of DASH will prove to be a good investment income.

Dash is freeze in poloniex, why?

It's now been over 15 hours, so the Pollyannas' excuse of "it's just an upgrade" looks increasingly implausible with every passing minute (so much for "muh fast synch time").  Grin

Dash is beclowning itself at the protocol level.

It's a nice change from Dash's usual practice of beclowning itself on the governance layer; very innovative!  Smiley

When you backport 10,000s of commits from Bitcoin Core while suffering massive code drift due to believing Roger/Jihan/Craig anti-RBF+segwit FUD, something is going to break eventually.  Especially when you bolt on a proof-of-stake Masternode kludge layer.

PS Hey BigR, you ever try a Barolo Chinato?  Very good stuff; a welcome change from the usual formula and amazing with dark chocolate!  Cool

The Masternode Network has pretty much upgraded to latest protocol 70210 (82%), please make sure that you upgraded to latest version as well (0.12.3.2)
Sentinel's latest version : v1.2.0 (do a git pull to update to latest sentinel version, if you are still in the update process)

Those masternodes that are currently not on protocol 70210 (18%) are at risk of not getting paid, when spork 10 (MASTERNODE_PAY_UPDATED_NODES) gets activated.
You can use dashninja to check if you are on latest protocol 70210 and on latest version 0.12.3.2 : https://www.dashninja.pl

No explanation for why Dash has been broken for >16 hours?

Did the "stress test" break something that Polo can't fix?  Maybe you should have tested the spam flood on test net first?  Tongue

Dash cultists and their Instamined Darkcoins are filth, and this machine won't stop until their heretical technologies are scoured from the Imperium of Satoshi.

For those wondering about Dash on Poloniex :

Quote
DASH is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled as we work to find, test, and audit a solution.
Thank you for your patience in the meantime.

Poloniex is most likely updating to Dash latest software version. I doubt this is related to the stress testing as other exchanges (who have far more Dash traded volume) are working just fine.
This just concerns Dash deposits and withdrawals, Dash trading itself does not seem effected as the trading chart is not frozen : https://cryptowat.ch/markets/poloniex/dash/btc/4hr
and the trade history is also up to date.

To tungfa : maybe someone from the Dash Core-Team who has an official contactperson with Poloniex can check with them, see if they need some help or can provide us with some additional info?

Page 6666, quite a number. In large part thanks to all the trolls bumping the thread.

Trolls attacking this coin for years. I wonder why they fear dash so much?
