Latin American Leadership Forum Hashes Out Expansion Strategies

On June 23, nine Latin American Dash leaders from five countries gathering via an online video forum to discuss the progress of growing Dash in their respective countries, along with expansion strategies.

Dash Force News caught up with George Donnelly of Dash Columbia for a summary of the event. The forum covered how to build Dash communities in their local areas, how to support those communities, and then how to strengthen those communities and their entrepreneurship. They referenced past successes such as “Dash Venezuela’s 22 ground teams, Dash Argentina’s 25+ merchants, Dash Colombia’s merchant-first marketing strategy”, and how to replicate those successes and train new Latin American Dash leaders.

For normal wallet users it is relatively easy to upgrade your wallet by downloading latest binary from www.dash.org

Masternode owners will have to follow a more complicated update procedure in order for them to keep their payment queue. Progress on how much of the masternode network have upgraded can be followed on certain charts, which tungfa showed in his post.

Both Masternode and miner rewards are scheduled to become less over time. Since they both receive the same percentage (45% of each blockreward) they get the same blockreward reduction over time. For Dash there is an annual -7% of its block reward. Earlier this year that reduction in block rewards took place.

ING and Ipsos Online Survey Finds 35% of Europeans View Cryptocurrencies as “the future of spending online”

An online survey commissioned by ING, the Dutch multinational bank, and conducted by Ipsos, the global market research and consulting firm has shed more light on cryptocurrency use and outlook by European, Australian, and U.S. consumers.

The survey had a total sample size of 14,828 respondents over 15 countries with about 1,000 respondents from each country with the exception of Luxembourg, which had 500 respondents. The countries included in the survey were Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, USA, and Australia. The survey was conducted during March of this year, which is when Bitcoin was well down from its high price.

Besides technological shortcomings, the biggest issue for Dash and especially Masternode owners is the legal concept called

DELIBERATE  INDIFFERENCE

This is now the most likely reason everyone in the new Dash office may be handcuffed and frogmarched off to jail in the near future.

Watch this appropriately specialized attorney explain why.  Bonus points if you catch his dig at Dash for spending $250k for half-assed legal advice that did not address this critical issue.

Okay it's been 15 months, where is the Evolution release?

I'll tell you where your precious Evolution release is.  Evolution is stuck in Howey Test Creek without a paddle.  Evolution is still 100% vaporware.  In fact, Evolution has made substantial negative progress over the years, going from a miniscule 6-month ETA two years ago to the impressive 12-month ETA we have today.  Every MNO who voted to invest Treasury money in Dash Core has been completely over-promised and under-delivered to.  Dash Core has enjoyed effective management and control of the Dash project for many years but the ROI on Evolution development is zero (or actually negative given any IP generated is now outdated).

That's because all the blue-sky Smart Contract DAPP DAO CYBERPUNK 2027 pulp science fiction Evan Duffield dreamed up when he was high never was really anything more than creative writing pushed by greed and HYIP marketing.  Evan's go-nowhere pipe-dream boondoggles all had to be thrown out and Evolution had to be restarted from square one.  Evan ran away to work on physical vaporware, starting a domino effect of other key players who were critical to early success leaving, such as Amanda B. Carsaleman.

Then that same cycle of over-spec and collapse happened again, wasting another year!  Now Evolution's grand ambitions have been reduced from their original bloated Project Xanadu 2: Instamine Boogaloo scope down to the modest goal of just being yet another P2P money-sending app, so Mom (or even Grandmom) can top up Sally's wallet with an advance on her allowance because she really needs to buy something from China at the mall or whatever.  And we still don't have a feature freeze or finalized MVP.

All off this behind-the-scenes failure was until days ago the subject of a cover-up.  Dash Core didn't mention the bad (or any) news, and the Dash community winked because they knew not to ask questions with unpalatable answers.  When Tante and the other cheerleaders where drunkenly spending their newfound Treasury wealth on stupid-expensive showboat projects like Aerobatic Man and Ben Swann's PIVX Studio, nobody but "trolls" gave a thought to what happens when the good times end and the boom turns into a bust.  That would have violated the Dash Cargo Cult's all-important Pollyanna Narrative, don't you know...

But then Dash Cargo Cult Narrative collapsed on its own, because of Dash Core Group Incorporated's failure to deliver the promised goods, despite massive spending on bamboo runways and lavish compensation/luxury travel packages for the rapidly multiplying C-level execs.

Even the cover-up is collapsing, as MNOs start to wake up and ask questions about how there can possibly be so little to show for so much money being spent over so much time, forcing a grudging (albeit PR agency pablum) apology with the standard pro-forma "mistakes were made" passive voice absolution of responsibility.

Simply rubber-stamping Dash Corp Inc's forever expanding budget requests is no more assurance of Evolution's timely delivery than building a bamboo runway will cause cargo planes to land.

You have sat silently while Dash Corp Inc has grown into a big fat pig that hogs all the food available in the Treasury trough, while starving little Venezuelan and African piglets are left to beg for scraps.

That's because you are a big fat pig yourself, being a spoiled rich kid with absolutely no regard for normal business practices such as holding demonstrably incompetent employees+managers accountable for poor performance and blown self-imposed deadlines.

Research Shows that Over 1,000 Coins are Dead, but this Creative Destruction Benefits Consumers

Research by Coinopsy and Dead Coins, two digital currency tracking websites, shows that over 1,000 cryptocurrencies and ICOs are dead.

Qualifications to be a dead coin requires “lacking any development or future activity in their protocol”. The reasons for their deaths are wide reaching, but including “common exits scams, website closure, and abandoned code to deliberate pump and dump, malfunctioning wallets and alleged death of project developers”.

Interestingly, the failure rate is higher than normal for investments since a recent CB Insights report indicated that only 28% of blockchain companies could reach second round seed funding, whereas the normal is 46% for startups. Another report by Satis Group shows that only “8 percent of cryptocurrency projects make it to reputable exchanges after their ICO.” However, it also tends to be common knowledge that most startups and new businesses fail initially and that it typically takes many attempts before success, especially for innovative new technologies like cryptocurrencies.

Dash Venezuela CrowdFunds the 9th Dash Conference and 7th Dash City

Dash Venezuela uses crowdfunding to help fund the hosting of the 9th Dash Conference and 7th Dash City this past June 16 since the DAO treasury was stretched thin this month and could not fund their continuing project.

Eugenia and Dash Venezuela originally set out to host 12 Dash conferences, 1 each month, with the goal of making Venezuela the first Dash Nation. Their events have typically been funded since they have had great results such as making Venezuela the top Dash accepting country in the world, with 200+ merchants and ranking #2 in the world for most downloaded Dash wallet and visits to Dash.org. However, the DAO treasury has been tight recently with the fiat exchange price decreases and the large Dash Core proposals.

Nevertheless, Eugenia and her team found a way to still host the conference by crowdfunding the event. Edward of DASH.RED told Dash Force News about the importance of alternative sources of funding for historically successful projects.
