Cryptocurrencies Referenced as Potential Medium of Exchange in Supreme Court Ruling In a recent case at the Supreme Court of the United States, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies got mentioned as a possible medium of exchange rather than as an asset.
In Wisconsin Central Ltd. v. United States, the Supreme Court was deciding on whether or not an individual’s stock could be taxed like money. The court came to a conclusion that “it’s clear enough that the term money unambiguously excludes stock.” However, Justice Stephen Breyer made a distinction in his dissenting opinion by stating that “money as used in this statute, must always mean a medium of exchange, but what qualifies as a medium of exchange may depend on the facts of the day.” To prove his point that what qualifies as money changes over time, he referenced how cowrie shells used to be commonly acceptable forms of money, but is not any longer. He also mentioned gold is going through a similar process. |

Long term uptrend?
Of course, it will because whales manipulated and collected enough very cheap Dash recent weeks, especially crashes days ago. New partnerships (good ones), bright developmental strategies, why not rise? It's unbelievable if Dash can not rise in rest months of this year. |

New Hedge Fund to Focus Specifically on Cryptocurrencies, Creates Opportunity for Enhanced Stability Andreessen Horowitz, a top venture capital firm, is “investing aggressively” in cryptocurrencies and has already raised $300 million USD for the fund.
The firm plans to invest in early stage cryptocurrencies and tokens along with later stage networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum and plan to hold the investments for up to 10 years. Chris Dixon, a general partner at the firm, mentioned how they have “experienced ups and downs in the cryptocurrency market, and expect there will be many more”, but they still recognize the “potential in the technology, and some of the downturns can be the best investments.” |

Thanks for link to the DASH June reports, tungfa. The report discloses recent expansions of DASH to Africa and Latin America nations. There are diversified target population of the project, ranging from educational to bussiness aspects. |

At the one hand Bitcoin is now trading at $6094 and could possibly go significantly below $6000, which means lower prices for most of the altcoins (most likely Dash included). On the other hand the downtrend reversal could occur faster then you may exspect, leaving you behind. It is a bit of a gamble either way. Cryptocurrencies inherent volatility makes predictions difficult too. |

On the other hand the downtrend reversal could occur faster then you may exspect, leaving you behind. It is a bit of a gamble either way. Cryptocurrencies volatility makes predictions difficult too. Dash is keep advancing steadily while majority is busy with speculative markets. Since start of this trend beginning from the year there have been many rounds of correction and accumulation. This is the thing which will be helpful to sustain all the gain. |

Dash is def getting hit the hardest, not sure why but it seems no body wants it. All other coins have been rising vs btc lately but not dash just keeps sinking??

Where did you read that ? Dash normal transactions are depending on proof of work confirmations, regardless of using GUI or commandline i think. Although i can imagine a transaction gets created faster through commandline then through GUI, but then it still needs to get confirmed. There could be a difference in calculated transaction fee between GUI transaction and commandline transaction, i think i read that too somewhere.. cant remember where and if that is true indeed. |
