Dash Adoption in Venezuela Exceeds All Other Cryptocurrencies Combined

Dash adoption in Venezuela has grown to critical mass, exceeding that of all other cryptocurrencies in the region combined.

As is listed prominently on merchant directory DiscoverDash, Dash has reached 541 and counting merchants in the country, nearly one third of the global total. This stands in stark contrast to other cryptocurrencies, many of whom have struggled to achieve mainstream success as a method of retail payment. According to Dash Merchant Venezuela business development head Alejandro Echeverría, this is due to a comprehensive on-the-ground presence by various Dash teams providing support and technical assistance:

“In Venezuela we have over 500 merchants that are accepting Dash, with Dash Merchant Venezuela having onboarded up to 80% of them. We know from the developer of the point-of-sale system that we are promoting that there a lot of transactions happening daily right now. Currently, we are doing monitoring that aims to track all the activity from merchants: if they have doubts, any technical problem, and to make a more friendly relationship with the Dash brand.”

Dash Enables Cannabis Innovation to Benefit Consumers

In a new press release, Medicinal Genomics (MGC), “an innovative company developing DNA-based testing solutions to improve cannabis cultivation productivity, quality, and safety” outlines how their partnership with Dash will disrupt the genomics, cryptocurrency, and cannabis sectors.

“A new cannabis genome reference will greatly accelerate marker-assisted selection in cannabis, while providing the industry a much needed tool to track and identify different cannabis cultivars on the Dash blockchain.”

This will allow merchants and quality testers to “monitor plants from seed to consumer” since “[a] genetic fingerprint can be readily generated using the industry standard, StrainSeek Identification and Registration Service”. This will essentially allow “biological barcodes for products in the industry”, and allow “breeders [to] now use this information to generate more productive plants”. The press release added that “[c]urrently, all publicly available reference genomes for cannabis are incomplete, containing significant gaps in the overall genomic structure”. Kevin McKernan, the Chief Science Office of MGC, believes that “one third of the cannabis genome is still undiscovered or collapsed in assembly”, but believes that they can make the referencing “50 times better than the Chemdawg reference MGC generated in 2011”.

Blockchain speech at UK Houses of Parliament for Bahrain Opportunities Forum 2018

On Thursday 19th July I was a guest speaker at the UK Houses of Parliament for the Bahrain Opportunities Forum 2018.

The market's reaction to this update's Very Bad News (hidden in an invasive Google .pdf) speaks for itself.  Mr. Market is saying "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!"  

Another flash crash today! It’s not looking good for dash at all. I think big masternode owners are selling off too. This isn’t just about a bear market any more, there must be an underlying problem specifically with dash, it’s just plummeting hard

Masternode owners are not happy because for the last 3 years Dash Clown Group Inc has consistently over-promised and under-delivered on everything from Masternode blinding to Evolution.  They don't even have an ETA for the ETA for a roadmap update, despite Nathan Marley claiming one would be made by the end of June.

Not sure why people blame the messenger, theirs a big difference between fud and facts. The FACT is that dash is the weakest coin in the top 20 year over year. It’s gushing blood again today, much more than the rest.

Throughout much of 2017 Dash posted much bigger gains than bitcoin and most other coins. Which puts your comment in the category of FUD

Dash literally started the rally last year and Dash is sometimes surging even with most other top coins are bloody red. Maybe there is just a different way of correlation to Bitcoin and the rest of the market.

Tradecore, a brokerage software company, has partnered with Dash and BlockCypher, the blockchain solutions provider, to offer financial service providers and capital market businesses the ability to send, receive, and hold Dash.

The partnership was announced via a press release where Stefan Pajkovic, CEO of Tradecore, highlighted why they decided to integrate with Dash.

“We chose Dash as one of the first digital assets to support [on] our platform because it has among the lowest fees and fastest transactions of any blockchain network.”

Ryan Taylor, CEO of Dash Core, added that the integration is “an exciting integration for Dash” since “Tradecore extends the reach to online brokerages on a much broader scale”.

Regarding InstantSend, regardless of the number of transactions that occur on the network, if I make a transaction, will the confirmation be instantaneous?

Yes, if you use option InstantSend for your transaction it should be confirmed instantaneous (which means you get 5 instant confirmations on your transaction and at the same time your transaction is locked against double spending).
The sixth confirmation will be through proof of work and will finalize the transaction in your GUI wallet.

Dash recentely did a stress test with a lot of transactions and that did not negatively effect Dash transaction fees or Dash ability to process transactions (including InstantSend transactions).

If for some reason your InstandSend transaction does not confirm instantaneous, it will automatically fall back to confirmation through proof of work.
