The only one here that is stunned...is you. The article referenced instead shows you how confident we are and secure in DASH's future, not like you and your brown shirt scum under the thumb of grease mister himself Fluffypony, you wouldn't dare question his holy biggnes! Monero Trolls... #SAD.

Sorry Dash, You’re Never Getting Any Love from Bitcoiners If you’ve been around a while, you’ll have noticed that Dash is the black sheep of the cryptocurrency world. Like Ron Paul during his US presidential runs, Dash consistently remains excluded, ignored, and derided in favor of much smaller, less developed, and less promising projects. You can almost feel the room go cold when you mention your Dash fandom in a group of Bitcoiners. What a buzzkill.
And guess what? It’ll always be this way. Dash won’t ever gain the respect of the cryptocurrency community we presently know. You know why? Because it as nothing to do with anything real. No, it has nothing to do with its initial mining bug, as most cryptocurrency projects have had even more uneven launches, and most enjoy far poorer supply distributions. No, it isn’t Dash’s privacy, which remains unbeaten and is light years ahead of some critics who don’t even have any anonymity functions to begin with. And it definitely isn’t decentralization, where Dash has the most diversified ecosystem resistant to the undue influence of any one single actor or group in the entire space. Dash’s redheaded step child status with Bitcoiners has nothing to do with anything technological, or, well, anything real. It’s all social and cultural. Here’s why.

It (sort of) portrays Dash as the odd one out (rebel) among Cryptocurrency, at the same time as one of the most mainstream adopted.

Thank Joel....great article. It encapsulates everything I've thought...and the reason why I've backed DASH this whole time. OG crypto ecosystem just doesn't get it. That is why Bitcoin adoption has stopped growing and is in fact shrinking. It is why all these other "crypto" projects wont succeed either. They are built and run by fringe members of society like cyber punks and crypto anarchists that don't value the rest of society. And thus will always fail in mass adoption because they can't relate.

Anyone else notice Coinmarketcap SILENTLY reversed the Korean exclusion just as they SILENTLY enacted the Korean price exclusion and now Korean prices are included again?

Cryptobuyer Drops Bitcoin Across Entire Platform, Embraces Dash and Litecoin Cryptobuyer has dropped Bitcoin support across all its offerings, instead focusing on Dash and Litecoin.
The Latin American exchange and merchant platform announced over the weekend that it would cease support for Bitcoin on the first of February, and will continue to support its two other offerings, Dash and Litecoin. According to the press release, this was because of increasingly high fees to use the network:

Masternode-funded DashForceNews Now Shilling For Competing Coin Denarius Betrayed Dash Community Cries Foul As Their PaidShill Marketing-Pretending-To-Be-News Service Promotes Superior Denarius PoW/PoS Hyrbid
TDenarius (DNR) is a cryptocurrency that is only six months old and is looking to compete among the larger cryptos vying to become coins used for payment networks. Denarius features a new proof-of-work algorith called Tribus that is currently ASIC resistant developed by Carsen Klock, a 25 year old blockhain developer who has had experience working as a Dash coder. Denarius is also a proof-of-stake hybrid and is currently considering adding masternodes of 5,000 DNR each.

Good to hear that DashForceNews is also keeping us informed about other altcoin projects : https://www.dashforcenews.com/denarius-the-next-new-payment-coin/This is the weekly “altcoin corner” article where we explore another project in the greater cryptocurrency ecosystem Lets not make the mistake that Coindesk is making with regards to Dash : ignore as much as possible and hope it will go away. By studying other altcoin projects we not only get to know our competition, we may also learn about new technology and get new ideas on how to implement some of that into our own crypto project if necessary / possible. Thank you Icey, for bringing this article under my attention.

This is what i most despise of the monero tribal behaviour. Most of us here suport different coins with different features. Different projects (even forks) can grow together.

Hi !
Is there right now any working debit card with BTC / Dash ? (after Wavecrest closed their crypto VISA program)
In my view the best option now is epayments. They work in conjuction with dsx exchange. So you can trade your BTC on dsx , transfer (free) USD/ EURO into epayments wallet and then use epayments debit card.

Dash and the Crypto Confidence Gap The Motley Fool recently published, “Which Cryptocurrencies Have the Fastest Transaction Speeds?”. It focuses on the raw transactional volume capacity of various payment technologies, then uses it as a baseline metric for casting shade on the ability for cryptocurrencies to compete with existing transport layers. In particular, Visa. Articles like this one do a disservice by oversimplifying the situation. Ultimately, ability to push massive amounts of parallel transaction, though important, is hardly the most critical metric when comparing the technologies. This is largely a response to the article linked above and those with similar arguments.
Cryptocurrencies are forever being compared to other payment rails, and rightly so. Visa, Paypal, Venmo, etc. Some broad functional elements of these popular technologies are commonly compared: Usability, Suitability to use case, Integrability, Scalability, Speed.
Usability, as in simplicity of use and well rounded features, is an ongoing effort. Similarly with Integrability. There are countless efforts, but in the case of Dash, the Dash Evolution effort wants to address both of these with a significantly better user experience and a really well designed decentralized API (DAPI) that is well documented and includes a Software Development Kit (SDK).

Dash's Game Changer: Full Scope of the Alt36 Platform In October, point-of-sale and business solution Alt Thirty Six announced their exclusive partnership with Dash. This partnership has been used as the poster child for Dash’s use case as a payments system without the limitations of the banking world, particularly since the platform’s first target market is the legal cannabis industry, which has traditionally been plagued by banking problems.
Dash Force News had the pleasure of speaking with Alt Thirty Six CEO Ken Ramirez on the details of what the platform aims to offer, as well as release dates and projected 2018 usage scope. Additionally, as a Dash Force News exclusive, Alt Thirty Six released one of their merchant promotional videos ahead of schedule.

It looks like good news, but it is how the market reacts to bad news. The entire market is seen watching over what will happen to btc. All the same, the course of it depends on where the rest go.
