DRK friends, is there any way to know for sure that my masternode is working OK?

My IP is in the list when I check with my darkcoind, and in another client, and on the poolhash.org list, but I haven't had any payments yet. I'm not greedy for payments but want to make sure that it's definitely working OK - is there a way to check?

I think we are all in the same boat right now - I think we need to be patient.
I'm in the same boat - everything I can check to make sure it's working says that it's working - however, I have no evidence (as in payments). Will continue to wait for more info.

You'll get about 1 payment/day on average. So not getting one for a couple of days wouldn't be out of the ordinary. Also there isn't a MN payment in every block now like it should be but rather in every 10th.

If your IP address is on the list and flagged "1", you should be good. I haven't received a payment yet neither on 2 out of 3 nodes.

Still fork occurs.

Maybe some old masternodes are disturbing block chain.

Why is there such a large gap between Crytpsy and Mintpal market price? The market on Mintpal appears to be acting overly bullish where Crytpsy is more realistically bearish.

And Luke, what makes you think this was a bot and not just someone trying to get out? I keep hearing all these bots are manipulating the market and yet there is absolutely zero proof for it. Seems like an easy way to detract from the point that we are in a clear downturn from the last rise, something which should be over after the next flashcrash.
1) If you want to get out, you don't stack low volume sell orders down, pushing the price and making less, and certainly at the end of that cycle you don't buy more.
Which is what happened.
2) If you want to get out, you stack low volume up, support buy and drop the hammer all the way down.
You certainly don't buy even more after forcing flash shake out.
Which is what happened.
If you follow history closely, a very, very nice cycle is emerging - not seen since Bitcoin/Litecoin - and the direction is very clear.
Let's revisit in a week.
Oh I'm with you on the cycle. I just think we've got one more drop, before another huge uptrend. But claiming you can tell who are bots and who isn't because of one sell order is silly, how do you know the bot trades and the sell are related? unless you have access to the logs your just speculating, which ultimately makes your points less valid.

If you follow the patterns and trades closely, you would realise that this would be possible by hand.
Obviously, the hand set the paratemers for the bot using API.

All in all - as I said before, it's very helpful as this, plus the fact that there are very few weak hands and people intend to hold long term, DRK can grow very fast.
We have an excellent dev team which so far stays ahead, otherwise we would risk going way ahead of ourselves.

Hope that makes sense - if not, it's just my point of view and that's all.

Our pool was well working but from block 74986, it is forked and mining on other block chain.

Connection is not zero. 21 now.
But poolhash.org shows other block chain though.

It happened 5 hours ago too.

Where's the seed server? Why block chain is not synced?

any help, my wallet is stuck at "blocks" : 74603,
tried with the new wallets no change, cant get past that block.

Same issue here... Anyone knows the solution?

crap... me too!

I'm stuck there too...

download the latest wallet
start it with -reindex, or delete everything EXCEPT your wallet.dat (hope you have a backup somewhere too, just in case), and have the new wallet sync.

9.4.8 or 10.8.8 version are the latest one.

Hi where can i download 10.8.8 from. The version from darkcoin.io is v0.10.7.3-unk-beta thanks Smiley

I just hope that the links work, let me know, I could in worst case dropbox the 10.8.8 darkcoind binary for linux (only).

Guess there are old wallets in the network, dont know, but I got it synced (downloading the entire blockchain didn't even work)
just adding -listen=0 in the darkcoin-qt, parameters, so it only has seed source for the blockchain..

yeah i guess it's just a case of being patient, but would hate for something to be wrong and not know about it.

meanwhile I'm loving the DRK Smiley

I was mining at stratum+tcp://drkpool.com:3333. Now it does not respond. Please let me know if it is down.
Sorry I am new to dark coin.

maybe pool.darkcoin.io is better

thanks, but pool.darkcoin.io  is redirected to drkpool.com

Try drk.cryptorus.com
All running smoothly and on correct chain Smiley

There is a newer than the newest wallet - just from yesterday - 0.9.4.8. Check it out.
You just download a single qt file and replace your old qt file. Start. Syncs perfectly. Goes past this block. No issues. Go ahead Smiley

I had same issue like this.
I first tried -reindex -rescan but no luck.
Then, I deleted blocks, chainstate directory and redownloaded whole block chain.

And it stuck again at the same block number!

So I deleted blocks, chainstate directory and redownloaded with max connection count expanded upto 50.

Now, my wallet is on the right fork.

Just pray for 0.9.4.6 not connect to you. There are so many 0.9.4.6 monsters out there.
It's not perfect solution but there's no perfect method at this time.

Of course I am running 0.9.4.8 wallet Smiley

My IP is in the list when I check with my darkcoind, and in another client, and on the poolhash.org list, but I haven't had any payments yet.

Payment is based on variance, just like finding block rewards. If you don't get a block it doesn't mean you aren't mining correctly. Just that it takes time to get paid because you have equal chance with the other nodes. So for each round if there is like 400 nodes, you have 0.25% to get paid. On average, you'll get paid once every 400 rounds, but variance can impact this and you might get paid twice, or you might be get paid once in 800 rounds. In the long run this smooths out.

(factor in that some payments are currently skipped which is improving but is not 100% yet)

Is it true Masternodes will be used for other services in the near future ?
It is important because it means new kind of payments and yet better ROI.

The potential is there but for now the focus is in finishing DarkSend, development wise (as it should be).

I believe this potential will be exploited as it has also been recognized by new "arrivals" on the competitive front. X11coin is planning to use a "supernode" system, which it plans to offer services from (for now their priority is evolving the anonymity).

Personally I'd do it with different masternodes than those providing anonymity. Like the anonymity masternode gets 10%, the service-related masternode gets some extra % (or fees), the miners the rest. I'd do that in order to compartmentalize the DDOS danger of masternodes and the effect that could have on the new services impacted.

It stuck on some block number again!

Some masternodes are destroying whole network. There are so many block chains.
