Analysis of block chains was done by academic researchers. there are several published papers of their results.

Also, others are starting to try to link IP addresses to transactions.

http://www.bitcoinsecurity.org/

Would you mind adding this datamining issue in your strategy thread, and perhaps AlexGR adding a FAQ "Why do companies need private transactions?" or something? Also perhaps linking to the wired arcticle http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2013-06/06/bitcoin-retail because it has a real life case where the company had to do extra steps to achieve a bit of privacy.

will do. good idea.

I'm on it.

I got a McAfee Site Advisor warning when visiting the website  https://www.darkcoin.io/

This link is suspicious. We tested it and found potential security risks. Be careful.  Shocked

Is it possible that the site administrator checks this site so that we can trust the coin?

Shame they can't afford to chat on BTC-e trollbox.. They would fit in well.

Amir & team are doing a great job with DarkWallet, I was talking to the team a few days ago, they are working hard in Barcelona.

You can check Amir tweets, there are no contradiction or rivality between DarkWallet and Darkcoin. In a short time we will have a lot of good open code to promote  new anon currencies.  We are living exciting times in computer science and economy

I think we need a lot of talented people working on the anonimity issue.

Let trolls troll. Let Evan, Amir, Kyle, Caedes,  etc. do the good job

thanks for posting.

Does anyone know what happened to the masternode stats site ? (http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html)

Whenever I accessed it during the last few days it almost hung both my browsers.

Since then, my Mac's totally screwed - spinning pizza every 30 seconds for about a minute. Tried all kinds of clean up tools including Diskwarrior. I'm going to now reformat and re-install the whole system (something I was wanting to do anyway but 'want' has now become 'need').

There was something wrong with that site. Now it seems to be down.

I'm not suggesting it was malicious - may just have been dodgy Javascript, but I haven't noticed anyone else complaining about it. It was a usefull stats page but I'm terrified to go near it now once I wipe my machine.

(I didn't have any wallets or passwords stored on that machine by the way - they're all offline in an encrypted drive.)

what browser are you using? Safari? Most of us use google chrome browser, since it is very secure. I did not have those issues with chrome.

I do some update.

I have wandered why node count is almost same, is this real, i stopped mine but ip is still in there.. ~

So using debug.log I extract txout, compare it to block explorer.

Some tx out are not updated but don't care. It's not automatic. I will add more tx hash.

Here is result :

masternode list show valid list of ip that holding 1K DRK.
if you move 1k, ip removed.

Yes. list is real.

Now catch:
masternode doesn't count/validate ping time.
(bug is reported) EDIT: already awared.

I think that caused splitted masternode vote hassle.

http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html is opened.

compare ip and hash of yours.

It'd be nice to get a "tech people only" section on darkcointalk that's managed as a kind of invite-only thing. I'd love to have a place where people can discuss stuff that's actually of importance. Maybe if one of the darkcointalk mods reads this, please think about it. I'm on the run now, I'll propose this to one of the mods later today or tomorrow.

I wish TanteStefana or someone competent would moderate this topic. It would have 300 pages less, but it would be more readable.

please? Cheesy
