First of all, I welcome any dissenting views to the following, which will understandably be labelled as FUD.

Although I am an admirer of this coin and the ingenuity of its developers, I am extremely confident that DarkCoin's market cap is on the verge of declining precipitously (without hope of recovery). The primary reason is that anonymity as the coin's central feature ceases to be of value in the context of emerging applications that promise to make BTC itself completely anonymous (DarkWallet, etc.). Unless you can afford to lose your entire investment, I would sell now. My own view is that the most promising potential future altcoin will be one that addresses Bitcoin's shortcomings with regard to confirmation speed, etc.; important for merchant adoption and online gambling.

Sell now, save yourself a fortune and then a month or 2 from now, feel free to tip me a small fraction of the money you didn't lose (in BTC here:

1AJ21KtWbWgYxRr58oLjkTQPtqqzhM8fP8

I agree with you 100%

You now will be labeled a troll and fudster by the resident DRK groupies for posting the truth.

You do deserve a tip.

Here you go.  Transaction ID:

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

If any such things existed and could indeed provide what they advertise, I'd agree. But they don't and can't. So I don't agree.

Why do you help them? That's the job of the public defender.

OK, I will pose a very simple question. How does DRK stay relevant or gain traction in the event that Bitcoin's relative lack of anonymity has been solved by apps like DarkWallet?

DRK is a development platform. Once anonymity work is complete, Evan has plans for more mainstream features.

Coins with no ongoing development like LTC, Doge, PPC etc have big marketcaps without even offering anonymity. Why are they not at zero market cap, per your theory? They don't offer something relative to Bitcoin, do they? And they aren't planning to offer something extra either.

Your question was already answered. Stop asking the same bullshit question over and over just because you didn't get the answer you wanted to hear.

There is no such solution for BitCoin by it's very nature. Only a drastic change in the protocol and infrastructure could bring it about, and that will never happen due to the idiotic logjam that is the BitCoin Foundation and Devs.

The "It's already entrenched" excuse is no excuse. It didn't stop the Dollar from being unseated from Gold Backing, did it? There is never a good excuse to fail to fix busted shit. BTC is busted shit. But adoption is a factor of stupid people, not technical functionality.

Mixers already exist. I use bitcoinfog and have for half a decade. DarkWallet does nothing that bitcoinfog doesn't already do. It's not a solution. It's not a new idea. It doesn't provide anonymity. It helps, but it's a half-measure, at best.

I hope soooo much at this coin I got in at 0.0054 so Iam not worried abit but it's hard to mine this coin atm. So Iam mining at a multipool to buy some more drk Smiley but if this one fail ill. go away from this coin i have waited a loong time now Smiley but its a really nice coin just wantet do share.

Mr shojayxt...I'm being VERY serious...2 to 3 years...MINIMUM!!!!  And yes I'm fully expecting this to used along BTC.  I dont own 100's of thousands of dollars in dark because I'm unable to look past my nose!.  Absolutely this is long term....and certainly not about what your view is of crypto's.   What your trying to convey Mr. Shojayxt should worry any and all cryptos that have you as an investor.  You've just exposed yourself as a pump n dumper out for your own greed, which isn't a bad thing Mr. Shojayxt if you honest with people.  Using your thought process...all alt coins have no future other then as medium to create quick wealth or financial ruin.  Brutal!

Mr Shojayxt...what your asking for in the timeline you looking is just simply unrealistic!  That...is the #1 issue with Dark as this moment, members of the community trying to pump this and trying to push timeline agendas...I fully agree.  But you know as well as I do that its not coming from Evan and dev team.  It took BTC several years to get shit figured out....yet your asking a coin that is vastly more  complicated with a dozens of features to be ready for prime time in under a year!!!!  That is absolutely unrealistic and asinine!  Even you must be able to see that.   Stall tactics...Evan has never once created stall tactics.  What he is proposing to do here is an incredibly difficult task...its uncharted teritory with a huge learning curve.   I don't  want to insult your intelligence and I'm willing to bury the hatchet.  I have no problem that for your investment strategy this is not the coin for your...and that is perfectly fine and respectable.  But if what Evan the developers are building here was easy...satoshi would have done several years ago.

OK, I will pose a very simple question. How does DRK stay relevant or gain traction in the event that Bitcoin's relative lack of anonymity has been solved by apps like DarkWallet?

Because DRK as an altcoin can easily mutate and adopt new features. Bitcoin at this point is pretty entrenched and I doubt we'll ever see widespread change to the software itself. It's locked into its current framework. Starting from this point, DarkWallet is already limited because it's tied to Bitcoin.

DarkWallet doesn't have a masternode system, which is probably one of the most versatile aspects of Darkcoin. DRK can also add more features to increase anonymity because it's its own individual entity. DarkWallet is directly tied to Bitcoin in the sense that the anonymity features will never actually be built into the Bitcoin software itself.

DarkWallet seeks to anonymize some transactions when people choose to use it. DarkCoin (in RC4) will anonymize the entire network, and do it in a way that makes it hard to do timing analysis to figure out who's sending what. The more people you have involved in the mixing the harder it becomes to trace.

Darkcoin's masternode system is directly incentivized by the network. People are being rewarded with DRK to maintain healthy masternodes. This means they have necessary selfish motivation to maintain them, as basic as that sounds.

I support DarkWallet and anonymity projects in general because it's necessary to have them. I just realize that having a decentralized blockchain-based solution built for anonymity is better than trying to piggy-back on Bitcoin.

Bob...we understand your a short term investor...thats ok!  But please, before you get banned over at Cloak by your own group, stop FUDDING here.  Tell people the truth Bob,  Dark is up 2700% since January, maybe you wish to give people the full picture, Bob instead of your one sided story...or maybe inform people that BTC is also down 45%?

The ongoing upward trend in masternodes is a great sign of what is about to come in the near future. I think Darkcoin will cause a cryptocurrency revolution.

Yes! Excellent thank you. It's starting to look nicely distributed vs. a few months ago. Even though I'm an American, I must say it's good to see the USA hosted masternode percentage drop as that means it's becoming more distributed worldwide.

And another thing. Generally I'm not one of those people who think that price declines are 'good things,' but honestly in this case it actually might be. As the price of DRK has gone down quite a bit since its peak it has become more affordable to purchase the 1000 DRK necessary to setup a node. This has made it easier for more people to acquire a node, thereby increasing MN distribution. Increasing MN distribution increases the overall health of the network making it harder to shut down.

Not spreading fud here but if you look at the numbers drk is down 45% in the last 30 days while cloak is up over 200%
Actually, with the exception of XMR and RBY all the alts are down over the same time period.

Just look for yourself.

I'm not a short term investor. If the devs of drk would have came through on numerous promises that they made I would still be a drk holder.

I cant take the lies, bs and the fact that other coins are doing the anon feature way better and faster then the drk devs.

How is it fud?

All I did was post a link to bitcoinwisdom.com

Are the numbers not correct?

Did I hack their site to change the numbers around to look more favorable for cloak?

I guess anything that is not "Drk is great, praise drk, buy drk, drk to the moon" will be considered fud by a troll like yourself.
