plz dont forget that PoW technology uses utter energy and is not sustainable by any means; therefore completely useless for modern world transactions on a large global scale.

there are fast and sustainable models used today and in the future and i know you know it cuz u are smart Wink

~CfA~
National banks printing increasingly worthless paper money at top speed isn't exactly sustainable or eco-friendly either...  Grin

If you're talking about proof of stake coins I don't know where to begin with how technically and economically broken that whole model is, at least in any current implementation.

Remember that PoW relies on distribution, not total hashpower. The first is critical, the second irrelevant. More thought needs to go into mechanisms to keep that hash evenly and cheaply distributed I'll admit,
The only problem with the money printing is that counter markets emerge, and then the people who invested in the counter market complain that you're taking incentive away from their counter market... Bonds, Futures, Commodities, Gold... Everything people use as an inflation shelter already, they whine that something better came along and made them inferior.

****** PLEASE UPDATE TO v9.12.28 (Stable) OR 10.12.28 (RC) *******

The unconfirming issue was caused by DS going too fast once and awhile and the view not being able to keep up with what inputs were spent. This caused double spends in about 2% of cases. To fix this I've introduced a limit where darksend will only denominate once a block.

If you have a long standing unconfirmed transaction, simply right click the transaction, copy the txid. Then execute the command "erasetransaction txid" in the console. After that reopen the client with the command -salvagewallet, and the money should be back.

It will still be possible to mix with clients that haven't updated, so avoid activating darksend for a day or so while the network updates. This update is backwards compatible, so masternodes need not update.

My only remaining sniggle is that I paid a denom fee for every 900DRK that was denominated.

Not for each round. I had only 1 round.

But I paid a denom fee for every 900DRK that went through.

Those .001s add up.

Here is the wallet in which I consolidated all of the (now fully recovered) goofs:

Here is the darksend setting:

I, personally, don't care. But someone else might.

Maybe this is how it's supposed to work. I don't know...

This caused double spends in about 2% of cases.

Double spend attempts or actual double spends?

Attempts. The TXes hung, thus, not actually spending.

whats going on with the price..it keeps declining on and on...and some dumbass decided to unload 2k of dark on mintpal in such a rediculous price....fuck this piece of shit.....after the completation of rc4 nothing changed...if the price reach again 0.01 im going to unload 20k of dark and panic crash the price further...so fucking dissapointed it looks like whales are not interested by coin anymore...and no trust for the coin even though is the first one truely ANONYMOUS COIN out there....nothing changed

Probably because anonymity is a detriment going forward if you care about broad appeal and price.  If you don't care about commercial value, then sure, its great.  The echo chamber here won't tolerate divergent views though.

My thoughts echo yours regarding widespread commercial adoption of an anonymous cryptocurrency.

Anon is a detriment? Better burn your cash...

I tolerate divergent views just fine. You can make no sense at all for all of eternity for all I care...

You can turn darksend off if you want. See the checkbox?

Do you see it? It's right there. No? Still don't see it? Your argument is not so much invalid, as it is fake. I can tolerate it just fine, because it's not real. I can tolerate it the same way IO tolerate the Tooth Fairy and The Easter Bunny. It's easy to tolerate things that don't exist...

A suggestion tho... darksend should be disabled by default in qt and daemon, that way it doesn't instantly start denominating if you prefer to be on record for whatever bizarre reason you believe that to be a good thing...

P2pool is updated. MPOS will be updated shortly.

For everyone complaining about the new Masternodes not being paid; the fix is to mine on a pool that supports them!

For everyone complaining about denominations that take a while; the fix is to mine on a pool that supports the updated MN's!

TLDR; IF mining, switch to one of the above pools! It literally takes seconds to do, pays for the forums, and just generally puts a smile on my face.  Tongue

Portfolio upgrade to version 0.10.12.28, but I took some constant -0.001 DARK..I can not understand why! As I can understand, these coins are made only in a transaction, but apparently not. If you leave your wallet tomorrow I'll take all the coins! Anyway.
I want to go back to version 0.9.12.28 and I will not take money from the wallet for some reason! What will happen if I do? Is that possible?
Thank you.

This update is backwards compatible, so masternodes need not update.

Goddammit I spent two hours today reworking my masternode management lolware to handle local/remote setups for main-net, I'm going to update my MNs!

(I'll wait an hour though just in case.  Grin)

Not mandatory!

But I want to push my magic button six times!  Angry

edit: Goddammit, I'm going to have it iterate through them by itself, so I only have to click once to do the lot! Heh.  Grin

Push your magic button? 😂😂😂😂Do that in private!
