OK guys and gals

Remember this - HODL!!!!!!!!!!!!

The markets are being manipulated by a higher power then all of us.
Everybody seems to be taking a shit right now while we still have face.

Some huge whales are - and have been slowing accumulating many alt coins only to dump them
and I believe that it's happening now - the dump

They are trying to eliminate the shitcoins and we are gonna have a rough ride ahead of us.
Hold in there and stay strong.

(...)

Thank you for your words. It is so sad to see the "red markets" all around. It hurts and scares people away, but it's a necessary hard lesson being taught.

At least I am being able to take advantage of the opportunity, buying more DRK and always holding. As every cloud has a silver lining, after all this mess we'll be the fortunate ones for believing in Darkcoin, and for being together here, helping this community grow stronger.

1 DRK = $4.74
 1 LTC = $5.15

Imagine what's going to happen when those numbers flips over

RC4 isn't out yet and ltc is going down and nearing drk. If ltc holders want to recuperate their losses, I'd advise them to switch and buy drk.

Just to remember ... 3 month ago price was 1.5$ and this thread was growing Smiley

I asked a question in this thread ? "In 3 month, waht will be the DRK price ?"
for 70% it was between 1-5$ ... and today it's 4.75$. Not that bad for a prediction Tongue

Sorry, lame question here:
Can anyone tell me what is the purpose of trading outside exchanges?
Is it buying for cheaper than market price? If so, why would anyone sell below the market price? To avoid dropping value of the coin?

Fantastic news! Hope we use this thread more responsibly now that we are the cynosure of all eyes. Its been great being a part of this community and to have a fantastic and dedicated dev team that is always ready to serve the community. There have been may times i doubted if i was doing the right thing by associating with DRK... in fact i was told off by a few friends, but i still stuck to DRK and it feels great to show people where we are today. Lets keep the focus and get onto the DRK side!

He is looking to buy a substantial amount that would move the market a lot and cost quite a bit.  Similarily, someone looking to sell large amount will cause the price to drop a lot so it is not that great for them.  Private, OTC deal will allow both parties to buy/sell all at one price without moving the market.

Can somebody interpret this thread for me:

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rc4-testing.1830/page-98

We are already two weeks past the "original" projected release date. I understand that the entire Darkcoin code had to be rewritten from scratch and that takes awhile, and I definitely agree that the code needs to be as close to perfect as possible before release (especially due to all the bad actors out there). I do think, however, that with a dedicated community manager we should receive thorough progress reports more than once every two weeks.

Two days ago, Evan was saying in the testing thread that the code was basically ready to launch within a day or two. Throughout the day people kept posting bugs and he kept fixing them. He most have posted over a dozen times that day. Now we are back to the occasional once or twice a day post without any update on how the "big picture" is going. Today I'm seeing people posting that autodenominate is completely broken in the most current test release.

Can somebody give us lay people a better understanding of what is going on from the testing and coding standpoint? Even better would be a new official update on an expected timeframe for release. Are we still within a day or three of release? Are we looking at another two weeks?

I don't think there is much major left from what I've followed in testnet. Has to be rock solid. I imagine when he isn't posting he is coding, you can see his activity on jeera. Remember he wants to get this out as much if not more than anyone else.

As to timeframe wait for an official announcement.

But I'd say "soon."

I wouldn't be shocked if it was the latter.

But the most important thing is that darksend+ will be released, and we will have a truly anonymous coin very soon.

Darkcoin, the only fungible crypto currency.
