Dash in Mexico

Last night was an amazing start to our participation in the LATAM Bitcoin Conference in Mexico. We were able to meet and discuss Dash over cocktails with many important names in the industry. What was totally clear is the forums are a mirage, the real work is happening out there where entrepreneurs and activists are putting in real effort into developing and promoting the eco-system.

The reception on the work Dash is doing has been amazing and it was only the first night, many brand names in the industry had the opportunity to discuss one to one with us about how Dash works and the advantages of a two tier network. Many old time crypto enthusiast are really supportive of the project and we are clearly moving in the right direction.

I am really looking forward to starting the Evolution discussion in the open forums is going to be really fun. Don't let the forums confuse you, outside in the real world people are actually kind and respectful and really interested in the work of others. A real success so far here and we are just getting started.

After first big half of the event I can say that people have areal interst in Dash. The DGBB and all budget system have so much attention by investor. This is really a gret great event!!!

Think of it this way, Evan's work and DASH has been recognised by the organisers, this is fantastic, they could have just stuck with BTC.

There will be a much more focused presentation at Bitcoin Miami.

Yes, still working on it! The port to python is going well.
But, I don't get as much time as I'd like to code. Thanksgiving took a lot of time and I only get a couple hours a day free being a stay at home daddy.

The communication and encryption layers are complete and so is the auto-restart watchdog daemon 'dashmand'
I've got multiple instances-per-host (mainnet/testnet) working, but still have a ways to go. (including finding a memory leak in the monitoring daemon, building the remote management menus, and allowing for arbitrary version installations (for testing))

I expect to open up a beta test in a couple weeks, maybe three.

Here's a teaser of the "status" command ("Loading..." stuff still not plugged in) with two instances running (one mainnet, one testnet)  (added nethash, difficulty, and next payment calcs)

I plan on making a more compact version of this output, but that'll be later.

Can we get a picture of Evan with Andreas?  This could be the point where Dash and Bitcoin start trading places as the main crypto.  That picture would show the moment in time when it all started.

To give away at the Miami event???  What do you think?  Mass production shouldn't be too expensive if we go with a good print shop (or whatever shop does this kind of thing).  I really like them, Alex, just wish the handles were blue instead of yellow (making Dash more important )
