In all seriousness, it may be worth it to see what kind of legal implications this would have, we don't want to be getting sued after the fact for something we overlooked. It may be a good idea for starters to remove the images of the trademarked pop cans. DGBB funds would be better spent on other things than legal fees.

It seems like a great proof of concept showing the power of instant transactions to me.
Yes, great concept again yes great! Again soda pop is lame... The last time I bought a soda out of a machine was at least 3-4 years. I really think something "fun" would be better severed. I.e. Old school video game, pinball machine, and like I said earlier a candy grabber with candy and Dash tokens in it. Make the cost basically nothing. Another issue is the resale without a proper business license... Hey, there's a neat idea. You could put dash paper wallets stuck on some of the cans, so that it's also like a lottery, see if you win $$ But personally, I don't think it matters what is in the machine (though I prefer Diet Coke, even so Camo says it'll kill me) People get thirsty at conventions, so this could be very nice. Adding water as a choice will include everyone (almost) who drinks fluids but doesn't mind the environmental catastrophe bottles cause, LOL. As for a business license, I'm pretty sure that's for USD, and besides, we're giving away the Dash, so there's no real sale going on. And why is everyone going on about doing this over again but making it coffee, candy or toys. These guys have paid for this machine already, and are almost complete with the project. Don't you know I'm the only person here with the credentials to micro manage and criticize? Get off my turf! (LOL, I am joking, except for the penchant for micromanaging....) I like the paper wallet idea. Also, bottled water and coffee should be in the machine. All I ever drink is booze, water or pedialyte Have you looked at the machine bought... there isn't going to be bottles and there certainly isn't going to be coffee... No one gives a shit that you think the soda idea is lame... it's a great proof of concept for what it actually is. Well, my MN votes count asshole. I have looked at the pictures. And they are fucking ugly. You can put canned coffee in a machine fuckhead. You can also put in canned water too dumbshit. I really hate that if you don't drink the dash koolaid, everybody dog piles. No, I'm not a troll, I've been here the whole time and been mining from the start. You said bottled water... as for canned coffee... how do you plan to heat that in a machine with no heater? If you're referring to iced coffee, not the same as the hot drink. As for the pictures of the machine, it hasn't been refurbed yet. These are just photoshopped concepts at the moment for how it could look when finished.

I've got an I7-3770k delidded, overclocked to 4.5Ghz and watercooled. Also have a GTX 960 overclocked.
Is it worth mining DASH with this hardware?
I did little reading last night and I seem I cannot finding a mining guide for cpu & gpu for DASH. Is there one?

https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/display/DOC/Mining+guideThanks, guys. I will give her a shot. I haven't mined in years with a PC. Most difficult thing atm for me is Getting the right miner "Latest best", setting up these miners with cmd lines or cfgs and tuning them. Edit: Oh I am using win7x64 btw, so finding .exe files too is difficult. Can u guys point me in the right post for the best cpu and gpu miner? What is pissing me off is that I keep running across download links to a bunch of files which I do not know how to compile :/. Example: https://github.com/elmad/darkcoin-cpuminer-1.3-avx-aes

Nvidia is 'Step 5' on Tungfa's wiki link, I kinda added it onto the end of a AMD mining guide and winged it, you're lucky because Nvidia is easier to setup,is already highly optimized and more maintained, start with the more upto date sp-hash version, the link is provided ( https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/releases/), if that doesn't work goto the sp-mod version. you could get 0.2-0.3 Dash per day on a card of that spec, lets us know your daily payout for future referance, cheers ...

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Yea, I am lost now. So many links dunno what to use for what. Yea if I ever get up and running I can show hash rates, I don't know what to download, what cmd line arguments or .bat file cfgs to use for what. Think of me as a new born child. Where do I start. Some posted guide to darkstarcoin or w/e and not DASH. I am lost, I thought I said DASH not darkcoin or w/e. Edit: Does not help. Wow, start your sp_miner. But HOW? Step 5: Nvidia Mining
Ok, so the Nvidia mining is pretty similar to AMD, a pool has to be selected as usual but the mining software and drivers are different, make sure you have at least compute version 3.0/3.5, the higher and newer the graphics card the better and try to be on a 64 bit version of windows for increased compatibility. See the tips section for linux.
Determine which Cuda version here Nvidia cards
Install the latest Nvidia graphics drivers,
Nvidia graphics drivers
Restart your computer.
Start with the popular sp-hash version, it is the most upto date and the fastest, as long as your Cuda version is high enough, it should work.
Edit: So, I grabbed the latest from http://cryptomining-blog.com/6341-updated-windows-binary-of-the-ccminer-1-5-77-git-fork-by-sp-for-maxwell/

Thanks. 1oz/3oz/6oz dispensing wow. That is impressive. Yep, I've drunk all night from one of these or similar in the States, it's a great way to sample wines and then drink more of the ones that you like without needing to involve staff if it's a busy place. For generation 2 drinks machine, maybe an energy drinks dispenser & it would be cool to have a condom one in the loo as well.

After reading, I give up. I to use to mine with amd for btc,ltc long time ago, it was simple. There really isn't a place for me to start for DASH. Like solo pool mining? wtf is that? See, I went to nicehash and cannot find create worker! Pools are suppose to have workers. Like i am so pissed that I cannot figure this out on my own. One fucking retarded thing after the next and then I need to look like a baboon asking questions.
See I need a guide with 1), 2), 3), 4), "steps" with screenshots. I am a baboon at this.
cryptomining-blog.com use to have really great guides but I cannot find a specific guide for maxwell, w/e miner to use with FULL steps cmds, pool to use & DASH.

I think this is a fundamental issue with all cryptocurrency. They all assume that the general public know Jackshit about code or anything other than the most basic computer skills. It excludes them from getting involved, and will do for years, which is not good obviously. It is all double Dutch to most people, and that is why any guides must be super simple, and easy as 1,2,3. If this technology is to be mass adopted, it must be SIMPLE to use and not just understood by about 5% of the population.

Meh - he said he wanted to mine, not to use currency. Big difference. I don't think the goal is to turn the general population into crypto miners - five percent of a population mining would give excellent decentralization. I agree that using crypto as currency should be made as simple as possible, if that is the point. Perhaps it already is simple though, if people can remember to separate the mining issues from the currency-use issues in all guides, tutorials, demos and the like. Different audiences, differing needs. The vending machine plan is a beautiful illustration of crypto as better-than-fiat currency, with no need to mention mining, blockchains and so forth to someone who just wants to buy a cold drink. Of course, in the context of a conference it jumpstarts a deeper conversation. Perfect!

My point is, that mining should be for everybody, and simple to get into from day one. No need for sarcasm.
