and the barrier to entry is not too high.
Not too high for whom? I can tell you that it is WAY too high for me..

Is 100 Dash too high for you?
How much money do you have? Stop trying to get the "low-down" on my personal financial situation. You are being way too intrusive. Step off.

Jeezz I don't care about your financials, my point is that if you have some Dash you could put it on one of the available masternode shares services and get some more Dash that's all...

what are the reputable shared mn services?

The FUD is getting out of hand.
...and yet the price remains remarkably stable.

Why is that?

Maybe because the already dead horse has been beaten, skinned, sliced, diced, and had it's bones run through a wood chipper.

No one is listening to the same old BS. True investors do their research, they don't listen to rambling fools with a YouTube account.

Yep, that is pretty much it. Trolls must have some wires very weirdly crossed in their little troll heads to think anything they post in here have any influence on Dash
or this community. Dash is growing and doing its own thing, like it has been doing from the start.

Useful reporting from reddit users /u/fluffyponyza (Riccardo Spagni) and /u/super3 (Shawn Wilkinson). Thanks to them.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

i'm really not interested in this tainted update, tungfa.

all i get out of it is Monero giving nothing about privacy (after all this was suppose to be a private meeting), having a thing against redheads and pretty much
confirming to the world they have a Trollero cult inside Monero.

i rather see a post from someone of Dash inside there, how they experienced it. What kind of connections they made, what they learned from each other .. etc

DASH mixing test.
So I started this test a while back but got sick the next day and was unable to finish. I went on vacation after that and i'm just now getting back going and have some extra time to do a few test.

The first test will be a simple speed test to see how long it takes to mix a 100 coins or so with 2 rounds. Current USD price of 100 DASH is around $400.
As we all know it only has to be mixed once and after that it is ready to be sent instantly (4 seconds instantX) and anonymously. So no waiting 10 plus minutes to mix and another 10 plus minutes to confirm like other coins.

Once I hit post I will also start the Darksend mixing at the same time.

Monero nor Fluffypony is in no way affliated with Bitcoin Uncensored, they used to "trash talk" Monero as well before. Example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOp47r1r7XQ

They also did this numerous time on their podcast. They changed their view when Fluffypony was a guest on their show and explained them everything.

Furthermore, the Bitcoin Uncensored guys were the ones who were not invited, not Fluffypony. They simply asked him if he wanted to join on their "interview/show" while they were there, just like Roger Ver and Charlie Lee for example.

Regarding privacy, it was allowed to send out updates as far as I know, just not audio/video livestreams.

(the instant "mixing" on the monero network)
instant???
a monero guy did a test a while back and he said it took him around 10 minutes to mix just a few dollars worth of monero. how long to mix a few hundred worth of monero? how about a few thousand?

There's no "mixing" in Monero, as something you absolutely need to do before you get going. It just happens on every transactions, without you doing anything special. It also doesn't require others to be active, connected, or to send transactions at the same time as you.
The term "mixing" is in fact very misleading, it applies perfeclty to coinjoin which Dash uses, but poorly to ring-signatures which Monero partly rely on. (Partly because there's more to the privacy aspect than just ring sigs. Anyway wrong thread for this and probably for your questions too).

In addition, there is no difference in time between a 100 XMR transaction or a 1000 XMR transactions. The transaction gets included into the next block (block times are 1 minute, will switch to 2 minutes soon for security reasons). Pretty much works the same as Bitcoin to the extent that you have to wait a few confirmations to safely "confirm" your transaction. However, bear in mind that Monero isn't constraint by a blocksize limit because it has an adaptive blocksize limit which is described here:

The relevant question for this thread is: How long will it take to mix 100 DASH with two rounds of Darksend?

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card
