In any event, we should really focus on uniting against our opposition, such as the monero trolls you mentioned. To that end, I apologize for any offense I may have caused. Cheers!
You are right. I probably over reacted a little bit so it's all good. I apologize too. Just wanted to say that busterzzz is one of the most active contributors of the project, he is the creator of most of our video guides, runs podcasts, community chat rooms and many other things. There was nothing personal about him thinking that a proposal you presented Ddink had a conflict with others, many people were trying to understand why the last minute proposals got left out of the budget. I think it was a good learning opportunity for everyone. Lets all work together to improve Dash. Cheers.
Thanks Daniel appreciate the kind words. Probably just a misunderstanding on my part. There are a lot of people doing awesome things behind the scenes, including ddlink. It's really hard to get the full idea of what people are doing. Thanks

Dash isn't a democracy and it is not egalitarian. These are strengths not weaknesses. If you want a cryptocurrency that gives everyone an equal vote feel free to create it. It will fail. As it is Dash is too close to a democracy and has to some extent the problems of democracy like a lack of incentive to vote much less make informed votes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rational_ignorance

But seriously, What does it mean for dash to support risk assets?
Yes. I suppose this is the main theme that would prevail throughought all my various states of consciousness. It's not something that is an issue for Dash alone - it affects all fixed supply forms of money. It even was a problem for the dollar when the gold standard was around. In the fiat world, when there's a need for new liquidity the banks just issue it. That absorbs all the liquidity shocks and keeps the value of the currency stable. I don't see that model ever disappearing - even if there's widespread financial reform. Cryptocurrencies are a great monetary base, it's just that I'm not sure they'll ever be actually used directly as currency. For example, at the moment when you buy stuff with bitcoin you are actually still trading fiat denominated goods and services. If you bought a $800 tent from Overstock 12 months ago it's still $800 today but the amount you transferred in bitcoin may be very different. "Risk assets" are simply investments where there's a fixed supply of a commodity and you make your money (or loose it) from the change in value. The other type is, say, a bond which isn't fixed supply and where you make your money from getting paid monthly interest. (So called 'fixed income' assets). Risk assets will never have a stable value in relation to goods and services - they just won't by their nature. With a very large marketcap they would be much more stable than bitcoin is now, and I'm sure will get used for trading, it's just that I don't know if they will reach the point where goods and services are ever denominated in, say, a cryptocurrency price. Yes, I can see this. But at the same time... since we have the dollar and the Euro and the other currencies of the world, and they can be instantly converted to their current equivalent in crypto currency, can those fiat currencies be the fixed income asset, while, due to the ease of use, crypto currencies can be used to make purchases, despite being a risk asset? I mean, it sounds, probably, to an economist as something that can not be done, but then again, that's only because other risk assets aren't usually so easy to liquidate? So, um, can this mold be broken and simplified? I don't think fiat is going anywhere any time soon, it's just going to get handicapped And I'm not sad about that

Will we be able to fund a project for DASH integration? I've been pushing that idea around for quite a while. As did for Electrun-Dash - TAILS development. Didn't get much traction. I contacted the OB devs, and they said they'd love to, but simply cant spare the time for it, but they're more than welcome to integrate Dash if we do the coding. I was just waiting for them to release a stable first version to seriously lobby this effort. IMHO it is this that will help promote Dash the most in the open world. If OB delivers, it's an Ebay killer. With Dash's anonymity features, it's a match made in heaven! I gave it a spin a few months back... very very alpha, but very very very cool ! https://dashtalk.org/threads/open-bazaar-integration.2045/page-12

Nice, easier to read, great. I love it. Exactly what we needed with all the new budgets submited, like past month, and hopefully all next months...

But it's the only game in town right now, and I'm thankful for it!

You can set it up like a masternode 24/7, and there are guys out there already prepping Node40 type services Loads of tutorials etc... and I'm sure lots more when it's actually out. It's become much much MUCH easier by the way, really simple the last time I tried (on OSx). Anyone can do it.

Yeah, but what Tante is saying about ease of use, surely a punter just looking to buy stuff dosn't need to be a node??

Yes you do, but at this point it's as simple as downloading the app and running it when you want. If you want to sell, then you "need" to hve your shop online as much as possible so people see what you're selling. And there is no blockchain to worry about, it's really light

Looking good Evan, 12.1 will bring a bag of neat tricks to the voting table The DASH <-> USD option would probably be welcomed by many voters. Great work!

Looking good Evan, 12.1 will bring a bag of neat tricks to the voting table The DASH <-> USD option would probably be welcomed by many voters. Great work! That's in the pipeline as well. That feature is pretty difficult, we need some kind of decentralized oracle implementation, so you could ask the masternode network "What is the price of Dash right now?" or "What was the price of Dash on Dec 12, 2015?". It would have to be quorum based to be secure as well... sounds like fun.
